Don't focus on their willful ignorance. I'm a conservative Christian AA female and when the AIDS crisis hit I saw the ugliest part of Christian souls imaginable. I will never forget Christians rejoicing the "gay plague" was going to take care of homosexuals. That lesbians were one of lowest risk groups didn't matter. Some people choose to be willfully ignorant. This is the same country in which a majority of its citizens found it acceptable to cage children -- the USA was guilty of human rights violations in the 21st century. Unfortunately we must lower our standards in what to expect of this country, we've gone at least 50 years backwards. Obama listened to his daughters and then understood how unfair it was that gays couldn't marry (a child shall lead them). Trump listened only to his inflated ego and look at mess we're in.
