How to use Dawn Dish Soap to get better cleaning power out of your windshield sprayers! Dawn Dish Soap is great for breaking down road grime and oils and will help clean bugs better than any conventional washer fluid. Be careful not to use too much, as it will be very bubbly when it hits your windshield. One small squirt or just a few drops will do. Also me mindful of your paint, Dawn will not ...

    I did this on my 2006. It worked. Except then my LED fog lights were half as bright when my (single bulb) LED headlights went front low to high beams???? Anyone know how to do this while keeping the fogs full powered? Or did I do something wrong?

    In case for some people that this didn't work for. Install isolating tape on the front metal piece where the instrument cluster is going in :) (the metal piece thru which the wires thru)

    I certainly have this problem - gonna try this on the ride home and do the washer thing if that's the problem. It's not a mechanical sound - it's definitely a fairing/plastic rattle at certain RPMs that cause this noise.

    I know this is an old vid, but I just bought mine on 4-09- 23. And as in another comment mine was the clear lens of the cluster hitting the crime cover. Take it apart as he showed and just but some clear silicone where the lens will meet the chrome cover. Tighten down and white the excess off with a wet rag. I have no more annoying vibration noise

    • @darylpalmer3014
      @darylpalmer3014 3 года назад

      I had the same issue at some point owning my Dakota. The left headlight would intermittently not work. The contact points in the plug into the ECM had a little corrosion on them. Sorry. I no longer own the truck so I can't tell you which wire it was, so you'll have to do some investigating your self.

  • @jeffreybeth7235
    @jeffreybeth7235 3 года назад

    Same model here and same sound. The rattle or vibration actually comes from the gauge cluster not seating completely tight between the chrome piece and the tank. I just cut some little strips of rubber (about 1/8" thick) and taped them between the chrome and and cluster on the outer edge where there is a slight groove or recessed area. Either way will fix the problem as it holds the plastic cluster tight against the chrome when re-installed. 👍

    Dawn on your tires with a stiff tire brush works better than any tire cleaner i've ever used. Plus you don't have to inhale the fumes of those nasty chemicals, Dawn is much nicer and safer to use. I probably wouldn't use it as you did in this video because it's very soapy and leaves a film behind.

    Important question: Do I re-install the relay over top of the jumper wire? What were you talking about when you said you would add (???) when you got home....

    • @darylpalmer3014
      @darylpalmer3014 4 года назад

      You do not reinstall the relay. Just use the jumper wire. I'm not sure exactly which moment you're talking about in my video, I'm assuming I was going to add blade connectors to the ends jumper wire instead of just leaving the ends loose in the replay socket.
