Youth Sports - If Kids Struggle...It's Dad's Fault!
Sounds like it's more beneficial for point guards and outgoing kids.
I recommend bigger players attend PGC camps to better understand the game. Look around the college and professional leagues; every player handles the ball effectively, sets up others, defends in space, shoots three-pointers, etc. In the past, these skills were limited to the guard and small forward positions, especially in America. If you follow past practices, your athlete will be deficient compared to their competitors. Another thing to consider is that more and more foreign players are taking roster spots because of their ability to play multiple positions. In my opinion, PGC will benefit every basketball player who wants to develop a complete game.

Hello. I just came across your video. Do you happen to have a PGC code for 2025? Thank you for sharing such valuable information and tools for student athletes. Much appreciated.
Yes, use code: ATHLETICSOS Also, look on their website to see if there are early bird specials. Usually, the codes can be stacked for greater savings.
I’m excited do you really believe in what you say
Will you have another code for this year
Your video quality is excellent but you need video SEO, I can help you

Wow, amazing sir I really appreciate you I love athletics so much please I need this opportunity sir help me please
Start with the software we've developed. The free code and instructions are in the video description section. Keep working on your game, discover schools you like and qualify to attend, let them know where you will be competing, and then get out there and perform your best. Somewhere out a coach is looking for exactly what you do and who you are!
i need the opportunity sir
You have to make your opportunity. I've given you a free code for our AthleticSOS software; make that a starting point. Best of luck!
thank you sir your compliments i would like to have the opportunity am by name sizar Samuel am 17 years old am an athlete from South Sudan that's in Africa am a middle distance runner 1500m have started my mission when am in secondary school but my school teacher doesn't take it serious but since i completed my secondary school we as friends create an athletics group team in our area since it was last year am running 1500m before 4:40:34 but now for the great support of my friends my personal best is 4:05:30 i don't have a coach we just train by ourselves thanks sir may God bless you ❤
It's great to hear you are being proactive. Get all of your fellow athletes to sign up and use our AthleticSOS software (a free code and instructions are in the video description). Next, research colleges and find a few in which each of you is interested. Then, reach out to the coaches or athletic director. Check the NCAA and NAIA websites to find out the rules for international students looking to attend a US college. Keep moving forward in your quest. Don't let others discourage you. Best of luck!
The code is not working. Can you tell me if the code has changed?
Hi Corlis, Use code ASOS24 (it's not case-sensitive). Let us know if you have any problems. Best of Luck!
Hi. I'm trying to use code ASOS24 but it's not working. Is it only for Point Guard college or can I use it for Playmaker College as well?
I tried the code as well. Does it only work on single sessions? I’m trying to do the 3 for 2 option.

Thanks for the code. My son is too young for Point Guard College, but I enrolled him in Point Guard Prep. At the other camps, he’s just basically doing some drills and scrimmaging. It was between PGC and Nike camp, but your video helped with my decision.
Update on the point guard prep? My son is 10 and I feel like this is exactly what he needs, his mom is a lil scared to let him sleep away but if I can get him there I know she’ll love seeing him develop. Please update if you can I want to send my son in July 2024

I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Although I've heard good things about all of the PGC camps, the only one I can personally vouch for is their Point Guard College camp. Did your child attend the Prep camp? Would you recommend it to others?
@@athleticsos4492it was the best camp my son went to. Your code really helped with the costs.
im a 2007 born hooper from england and want to play overseas europe or america for my college i have been invited to 2 usa camps but struggling to pay you got any advice
It depends on your goals for attending the camps. Are you seeking training, skill development, etc., or are you looking for exposure to college coaches? If the latter, make sure college coaches can observe the camp activities. If the former, make sure the camp alumni have moved on to play at the collegiate level. It would be a good idea to ensure competitive games are included in the camp. The games should be videotaped or streamed so that you can leverage the footage. I would use AthleticSOS to find nearby colleges I am interested in attending and let them know I would like to visit their campuses. As for the cost, you could contact the camps in question, let them know your situation, and see if they offer discounts, financial assistance, or scholarships to attend? You'd be surprised how flexible they can be. Best of luck.
Thank you.
They are a scam.
Do you work for NCSA????? Why would you endorse a company that has almost all bad reviews with the BBB????? No legit company has that many negative reviews.
I got a call from ncsa im skeptical bout em , it shouldnt cost too much to get recruited
NCSA is relatively legit. They contacted me when I went through this with my daughter. We were far along in the recruiting process, so they didn't make a hard push at us. Gather a list of your preferred schools, ones you have already vetted, that your athlete qualifies academically to attend, and see if they're still eager to work with you. You're correct; you and your child have put in all of the time and work, and it shouldn't be this difficult or expensive to get over the finish line. Best of Luck
@@athleticsos4492 Relatively? LOL! Did you get a quote?
College coaches want to hear from kids... not parents or recruiting services.
@@shlepmessing8703 I'm getting a lot of pushback on this video. My interaction was back in 2009, and it was $900 for their mid-tier offer, basically added to the database, a set number of phone calls with an 'advisor', but not a personal case worker actively seeking opportunities on my behalf. I always compare the cost of attending college without the athletic scholarship money against the service cost. I admit to turning down the service, mainly because we already had a few good opportunities. But I had it in the back of my mind, and I might try it if the opportunities didn't pan out. Please utilize our AthleticSOS software, find schools that meet your needs and your student-athlete qualifies to attend, reach out to them and let them know you're interested and where you're competing, and see if that works out for you. If not, please think about using one of the services, give them the list of schools you've researched, and see if they can get you in one of them. My research shows that their full-service option can now cost up to $3,000. Do you know if this is true? As always, do what's best for your family. Please let me know if I can help you. Best of luck, Charles
Thanks again for that presentation at phenom it was amazing
You gave me a demo in Long Beach. I have 2 athletes (1 is a Multisport athlete). I think we’re going to try this out.

17, no offers, just graduated from high school. What camps or events can i get exposure?
Hi Isaiah, I'm unsure which sport you're playing, but I would seek out an unsigned senior tournament, showcase, or combine event. Just google 'unsigned senior (Your sports event).' You can use our AthleticSOS software to determine the colleges you academically qualify to attend and reach out to those colleges and let them know which events you're participating in. /I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.
It’s asking for 200$,what is free ? Thanks

Hey Charles! Again, the timing of this video is perfect. It has confirmed the feeling that I had with an initial NCSA call - just last week, the confidence to delay the decision to sign up with them now, and provided a strategy as to how to leverage NSCA in the future. Thanks again Charles ... greatly appreciated!
Did you sign up for the NCSA recruiting services? I also got a call from them yesterday.

Thank you so much. I love your videos.
Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to get the information to the student athletes in our areas! Girl Monday Media
Also based on your last question. I do think jiu jitsu is a great sport for young kids, aside from the the top 5.
Hey great video. I have two 7 year old sons. They are very good skill wise. Yesterday was there first organized game. Most of the kids on the team are 8 or 9 and they just turned 7 yesterday. However i felt that my sons were very lost within the game. Do you have any recommendations for them so they can build their basketball IQ better? And or learn more of floor placement on where to be etc.
Hi Ohh Kay. Every sport has a specific skill that outweighs every other skill set; in basketball, that skill is shooting. Here is what I would do in your situation. I would get my kids private or small group shooting lessons. That way, even if they are out there completely lost when they get the ball on their half of the court, they can take a shot and look decent doing so, and they can make free throws if given the opportunity. If this is their first time playing, it will take a while to understand the rules of an organized game and even longer to pick up the subtle nuances of playing well. That's just part of the process, most kids start playing around 5 years of age, and others have older siblings, so they have a better understanding from day one. Also, please encourage them to play pick-up games with the neighborhood kids and at recess with their classmates. Before you know it, they'll be quite comfortable out there.
Thank you coach
Thank you sir
What you have said in this video is what I have been looking for through all the sifting. Appreciate it much.
It is not worth it. You can email and call coaches yourself. My son decided to go to the military and was constantly injured during the season. They do not provide a refund and the salesman does not advise of a contract. Do your own networking and do the leg work yourself.
Hi Tahirah, as I've said numerous times, you should never rely on an outside entity to secure an athletic scholarship on your behalf. I believe you should do your own leg work to discover all the colleges that you academically qualify to attend, meet your academic goals (preferred major, etc.), has an environment you like and offers athletic scholarships for your sports at the level you can participate. Then and only then should you reach out to a recruiting service and ask them to reach out to schools on your pre-selected list to help you secure an offer. The advantage you have with a recruiting service is this is what they do every day, and they can also recommend schools that you may have overlooked. I know how frustrating the whole process can be; that's why I created AthleticSOS and, later on, made it no-cost. Whatever the cost of the recruiting service (within reason), it pales to the cost of attending college. Student debt is a burden to so many young people. If there is a way to reduce that burden, you should use it. I'm not affiliated with any recruiting services, so this is just my opinion. Whenever I do anything that affects my family's future, I try to find experts I trust to fill in blind spots I have on the subject, do my own research and make my own decision. I'm glad your son found a way to move forward. I sense with you in his life, he will do just fine.
If he was constantly injured why would coaches pick him up?
Sure you can contact colleges yourself but you also have to manage your videos, coach contact, gpa update, and much more in seperate places where ncsa puts it all in one. Also you get video editing included and access to all colleges to see who read your email roster space and detailed info you can’t jsut Google
What year is the best to sign up for these recruiting services?
After the sophomore season before the summer showcase, combine and viewing tournament season, I recommend only if coming off playing for your high school varsity team. Remember to have some colleges in mind before contacting recruiting services. Otherwise, they will have complete control over which schools they contact on your behalf.
Thank you for this video. We were getting ready to sit down with an agency tonight until I started doing some research on my own.
Glad it was helpful! Don't forget to use the AthleticSOS software, it'll give you a better idea of all of your options and opportunities.
They hit my mom up and I’m a upcoming freshman… I did get 5 interceptions last season but I don’t think that’s enough for a recruiting service to hit you up
If you attended any camps or combines, or made any all-star teams, or were all league especially if you're a freshman or sophomore, you're in someone's database and you will be contacted.
Code didn't work
Yes, that code has expired. Use code ASOS22 it will give you 1 year's access. Reply back if you have any problems.
Do these work for Canadians looking to go to us colleges or universities ?
Western Michigan University is best for recruiting Canadians
Yes, but they will need to take the SAT and/or ACT. The NCAA and NAIA have slightly different rules for non-US students, but our software can help you discover which colleges offer athletic scholarships for your sport.
I want to go to D1 School for Cross Country in the state of Texas. Any advice!
Yes, use the free code ASOS22, to sign up on AthleticSOS.com, research which colleges in Texas offer athletic scholarships for cross country and reach out to them using the instruction we provide inside the software. Good luck to you.
Hello! As new parents we’re looking into NCSA for our son’s basketball college career (he’s in 10th grade at the moment, very talented with a 3.7GPA). However, we’re hearing that they’re company might be a scam. We don’t think that NCSA is a scam but will like to get your input? Thank you for your time.
Hi Eveling, While I don't believe NCSA is a scam, I do not believe you should rely solely on any recruiting service to find the best athletic scholarship opportunity for your son. College can cost $20,000 - $100,000 annually to attend, so if a recruiting service like NCSA can actually get you son scholarship money it would probably be worth the cost of their services. If your son is already playing at the varsity level (with significant playing time) I would probably wait until his junior year before utilizing a recruiting service. Your money would be better spent on a trainer that can he him improve his skillset for the position he would play at the collegiate level (this may not be the same position he plays at the high school level), and get him on a competitive travel/club team. Finally, make use of my AthleticSOS.com college recruiting software platform, it's free to use and was created for parents like yourself, slightly unsure about the process. I was there once and I know how you're feeling. The most important thing you can do for your son is to find the "best-fit" school for his post college goals. Go to: Athleticsos.com Select: 'Need to Enter A Code?' Enter ASOS21 (not case sensitive) Complete Registration. Enjoy 12 months access (no cost). Feel free to share this with friends and family.
