    Does this help with ligaments/ joint and muscular problems?

      Hi, great question! Yin Yoga is a style of yoga which targets the connective tissues, primarily the facia, but for sure also the ligaments, tendons & joints. The connective tissue tends to respond super well to the slow, steady & longer holds we do in Yin Yoga. We never want to go to the max of our range of motion or our flexibility in Yin Yoga, since we need our muscles to relax around our connective tissue in order to lengthen and strengthen them. When it comes to muscular problems or problems with your connective tissues, it depends what type of problems you are facing. If you have actual muscular problems or problems with your connective tissues it’s advisable to check with your health care provider or physical therapist if it’s smart for you to follow Yin Yoga classes. I hope this helps! Feel free to ask more questions if you need more clarification :)
