Pink Floyd - Soundscape Plus
I bought the Pulse cassette back in 1995 and heard the soundscape at the very end. It sounded like it was missing something, like in the middle it has the sounds exactly like the beginning of Cluster One and at the end it had the Morse Code that started Astronomy Domine. For those who weren't there the first few opening nights in 1994's Division Bell tour, 20 minutes before the start of the concert they played this soundscape, with the ending morse code part going into the first song of the night: Astronomy Domine. A few nights later the changed the beginning to Shine On. I remember sitting in the audience wondering why they were playing sounds of grass being mowed and church bells ringin...

John Denver's Last Public Performance
Просмотров 1,3 млн9 лет назад
What this is is video of John Denver's last public performance, Oct 5 1997, before being killed exactly a week later. This was in Corpus Christi, TX at the Selena Auditorium. I used to work for a station back then and was one of several allowed in to shoot just the first 2 songs. His people warned us NOT to shoot continuous, only to roll for about 20 seconds, then stop 10. I ignored them and ro...

A 3-video game music video mashup? Why nt? Gears of War's Cole Train set to video of Desiny Beta and Titanfall. And yeah, I know the title intro is spelled wrong. I don't own the rights to any of the games or music, te respective IP owners do. I believe Destiny is owned by Bungie, Titanfall by Respawn Enternainment and Gears of War by Microsoft.

Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come - Spirit of Joy Alternate Take
Thank you God for giving us this brother...
Finding this post was such a gift … timing is incredible. My ex husband has passed away after John passed. John was highly loved and highly missed.
Rest In Peace john😅
I feel the same way. I played the guitar and sang but never had a male vocalist to sing with. Only females but we had such fun playing the music of our time… What a joy it was.
How I miss John Denver! I adored him and all his songs… He left us much too soon. An enormous talent and such a lovely man…❤️
When John sings the Birds stop and listen. He my fellow human beings is trully a gift to humanity. He takes us to so many human emotions but sings like a Bird the moment you hear that voice and lyric's you stop listen and your heart and soul is comforted. Thats how I feel about John Denver . I saw him once at Madison Square Garden and 50 yrs later I still feel the same. We were all Blessed to have just a moment that will remain all of our days. Thank you God for this talented himan being.
I love John Denver!!! He was one of the best Singers ever!!!
I love and miss John Denver. Rest in Peace, John
I just a young man from gen-Z, but i love listening to John Denver's Songs. What a wonderful piece of art, it's a trully perfection. First time ever i knew John denver's songs was "Leaving on the jet plane" And "Take me home country roads", My daddy introduce me to that when i was a little kid 😊. We all shall never forget John Denver one of the best musician of all times 😌.
This video is “haunting” for me. His last performance…ever. Forever cherished!
John was wonderful. His music wrings, and soothes your soul. God bless you John. We miss you. He waa just taken too early. He had a lot more he wanted to do.
I really miss him and Harry Chapin a great deal.
I am 45 and i grew up with John Denver ❤️ my mum had a close friend who i believe was Johns secret twin. She looked just like him🤣 I have never seen John perform live, but his music is forever. I remember being devastated when i heard that he died and just 4 month later i lost another great idol of mine when Austrian singer Falco was killed in a car crash. I remember about John Denver that i was devastated because of all the romours that he crashed with his plane because he was drunk. I never belived that. I believe it was an accident because he did not receive enough flying lessons. Actually today i am gonna sing a song of his at an audition and my plan is to have guitarlessons and in that way honour one of the greatest musicians of all time.
I'm 70, I've enjoyed John's music almost all my life. John sang from his soul and touched all our hearts. His music still gives me chills. I miss John. RIP John🪷✨️
I saw him at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, michigan in the 70s. At the time, there were few accoustic singer/songwriters to rival John. His voice was really so superior to anything else. It soared like the spirit of his songs
Boy From the Country. ❤️
Thank you my man for rolling the camera we got one full song and hopefully this entire show was recorded and someday will be released. When I hear his voice its like when I was 5 years old listening to the music, what an awesome voice.
John’s songs were my story, especially in 1972-73. My favorite song of his is “My Sweet Lady” I’ll Never forget it.
I am 70 years old in 2024. I remember the first time I heard John Denver. I was at my friend’s home. She played the double live album. In must have been in 71 or 72. to this day I still LOVE listening to his music. I can’t really pinpoint only one favorite song. I think one of my favorite songs is Poems Prayers and Promises.
He owned the '70s music scene, and yet was still underrated. Masterful guitarist, vocalist, showman. Very effective environmental advocate, excellent pilot, seriously aspired to travel to the moon. Listen to his interviews to recognize his enormous intelligence.
In 1977, I got to meet John after a concert. My cousin worked for RCA and got me tickets and took me back to the dressing room area where they were enjoying a buffet after the concert. He was genuine and very polite. We talked about music and how much we enjoyed the concert, etc.... I cherish the 30 minutes or so that we visited. I play guitar and sing, and I played a lot of his music for my family and friends. I wished I could have shared some music with him. 😢
I'm 64 years old and became a fan when I got his greatest hits album for Christmas when I was a youngster. His music had a profound effect on me and struck my soul like a lightening bolt. I was forever changed. No artist has ever spoken to my heart like John Denver did. ❤
The Boy From The Country seems to contain references to the public interest John Denver had in preserving the natural world.
If I could have hey let's take a hike over yonder
Talented singer songs writer living his life through the song s you play Ed I liked the country areas also hiking in the mountains seeing the wild life meeting people on the hike ing trails out door s had calming effects on your self
I didn't watch your ending
I attended several of John's concerts. They were all as good as the last. Had an opportunity to meet him after his final one in Saratoga Springs, NY. I have a very cherished photo of he and I. Me holding his anthology songbook to conceal my lack of a fan club backstage pass. He autographed it for me even though he declined to sign autographs after the show. Also, a cherished memento. He was a rare gift.
Linda letras son Angélica les, la primera vez que la escuché cuando vino al festival de Viña de Chile.Es una gran pérdida su partida, pero está en la gloria de Dios.
Thank you for sharing this special piece of an American legend and icon.
Grew up listening to John Denver. I wish I could have seen him in concert. My whole family was devastated when we watched the news the morning he died. Thank you for sharing this.
Every so often he creeps into my mind and my whole day is sent into a different direction than where it was originally headed . His words so meaningful and sung so strong from his incredible range and his unmistakable sound. I am teleported to a place that instantly fills me with thoughts of my youth and growing up and how carefree life was in those years . Im so happy that i was surrounded by my mom and her friends and my uncles as they were all hippies and tge music flowed morning noon and night. John Denver is absolutely the story of my childhood and I simply cherish every single moment of hearing such wonderful real feeling poetic music , that it stands the test of time for today tomorrow and yesterday. Thank you for being in my life . Rest easy John ...
Beautiful. I miss him. 😢
❤his music soothes my soul.
Pre-RUclips, I learned to play guitar note-for-note by listening to My Sweet Lady back in the 70s off the coast of Viet Nam.
Such a beautiful soul what a great loss
I am 67 and still listen to his music all day when I am working. It is relaxful, meaningful and makes my heart sing.
I'm 68 & feel the same......😊
wow,wow,wow,he never gets old,what a voice
What a treasure this is. We're in Corpus for a few days most summers. Next time I'll be sure to swing by this location in remembrance of him.
I am 72 years and i started loving his music since my early twenties. just can't get enough. Some days are diamonds is the song that got me hooked when i was a young man. It is so real about life. One day you are up there the next day you are down.
Thank you. Thank you.
One and Only John Denver 🫶
Thank you for posting this video Mike. I love John Denver, his beautiful soaring voice was still in perfect form. That year thhe World lost 3 famous lovely people, Princess Diana, Mother Theresa, & John Denver. That was also the year I lost my wonderful mother.
I cried a lot that year.
I lost my father 1997 also.....it was a year for great loss.....😔
I spent a couple of weeks in.the Summer of 1977 with my friend Jenny and her family, she was a John Denver fan and having heard her playing an album of his so was I.
Last public performance...John lives on..xox
The wife and I saw him a couple of days earlier when he was in Fort Worth. Just a beautiful show like this one. He might have been wearing the same shirt. I was heartbroken when he died a week and a half later.
Thank you for sharing this video. Sometimes I just need to hear John Denver's voice to bring me back to better days, and this video does that for me. Thanks again, and thank you John for your timeless music wherever you are.
Ahhhhhh man!!!! So beautiful!
thank you for posting. This is such a wonderful song. Such a genius.
Still listening in 2024.
It is so sad that this man who was given such a tremendous gift by the universe should die in such a horrific way.
