Crazy how a group of rich people got together and made a system where only people with enough startup capital could lock resources on crown land behind threat of law. We all just sit back like it's normal.. EVERYONE should just pay a resource royalty tax whenever they cash in a resource, corporations that wish to hard rock mine/mine on a large scale are the one that should have regulation and fees not hobbyist prospectors.

Hi Bruce I'm a recreational prospector in NZ for at least 30 years with minimal sucess, bought an sd 2200d brand new 26 years ago on a field trip in NSW, didnt find any gold but plenty of interesting stuff. Recently found your videos and amazed that anyone was prepared to share their wealth of information as you have. The fever has re emerged as I'm close to retirement and researching another trip to Australian goldfields hopefully in 2025. I have found your videos inspirational and valuable. Hi , got a question why can't I find tenements layer for NSW?

What seems to be happening is these nuggets are found in areas where nature has done all the work carving away earth. A geological feature exposes this gold and can’t be found anywhere. Also, most metal detectors only go down to maybe a foot deep. BUT they make 3D metal detectors that go down 26 feet deep.

Mate I like your videos, but not really that relevant for me in qld. I use trilobite but it's not as all encompassing as was. But still advantageous to have.

Reeds after sales service is the worst I have ever come across in my life and I will never deal with them again unless they change management A few years ago I purchased a Keene's dry blower and when I assembled it found that it had a fault in manufacture I contacted the person I had dealt with originally who by the way was the owner and arranged a day and time to return it for inspection Well when I arrived by appointment I introduced myself to that person and was told to wait and I will be dealt with I patiently waited on the side while an existing customer was being attended and 15 min later that person left the premises I thought to myself that my turn was next as I was punctual for my appointment and had been waiting in line Well what happened next had me in shock, a new punter had come into the premises wanting to look at detectors etc and he proceeded to deal with this person without uttering one word to me He spent at least another 15 min with this person who ended walking out the shop with no purchase At this point I got very irate and approached him saying that I am still here and waiting to be served which appeared to get up his nose and eventually he served me reluctantly There appears to be a culture with this company which obviously is associated with it's management that customers don't matter and there is always another punter around the corner Well customers do matter and it is time they cleaned their act

Excellent video, thank you. May I ask why adding Iron to the solution causes the gold to precipitate? Does it 'simply' change the phase diagram of the solution and so at given themperature the gold starts to solidify, or is there some other reason?

The first thing that struck me was that you know very little about geolgical processes. You used the term suck up when speaking about movement in a fault zone. Have you had any education in geology? You also do not comprehend what differentiation is. When geologists speak of differentiation in magama chambers we are talking about minerals that crystalize from the magma and either sink or rise. But you seem to be talking about elements like Au, Ag, Cu. They have nothing to do with crystal differentiation. As minerals like olivine, pyroxene, and plagioclase start to crystalize, they form with very few trace elements in their structures. This concentrates elements like Au and Ag in the magma. You do not appear to be familiar with Bowen's reaction series. You talk about quartz being at the top of the magma chamber because it is light. Well that is not true. Quartz is the last thing to form. Si which is a major component of quartz (the other being O) is concentrated in the magma as the other minerals in BRS settle out or rise to the top (plag up and OL PX down). Not only is Si being concentrated but other elements/compunds are also - such as Au and Ag and water. It is the water that carries the Si and precious metals into fractures. You don't necessarily need faults either. This is the reason why you have quartz forming with gold. It is carried in hydrous fluids and deposited. Good lord. And I suggest you go and learn about orogenic gold deposits which are probably not formed from magmas but metamorphism with hydrous fluids. You should not be making videos because you read a book. I stopped listening after the first 6 minutes so maybe you managed to get a few things right after I turned it off. you seem like a nice fellow but a geologist you are not.
