Hi Tom, I have just stumbled across a 9n3 that's being parted out which had the rear electric windows from factory. I've asked for the following: - Drivers side window switch & wiring - Rear door cards - Rear window regulators (driver & passenger) - Rear window switches & wiring Is there anything I'm missing or will I be able to just plug and play? Any advice would be appreciated to ensure I've got the right parts. On a separate note, thank you for making the videos that you have. I've been following along to some of your mods over the last few months and have managed to retrofit OEM remote central locking, complete the key shell upgrade, and put a new steering wheel in. I have zero mechanical knowledge and I've really appreciated the opportunity, that you've created, to further educate myself and to get out of my comfort zone!

Hey, i just done this up in my seat ibiza, but the controls dont seem to work? Radio is a pioneer sph-da250dab, done everything up, there seems to be power in both the data connection and the wire going to the fuse box. Not sure what to do next. I'd apprechiate the help 😔

I've done the MFSW instalation and everything is working but controls don't have light. I need to take the controls from the seat leon 1P ( as i see they have ilumination ) or anything else like taking a can-bus and VCDS coding MFSW? Thank you for your video 😄
No worries, glad it helped you! yes the leon one is illuminated although the 9n3 only has two spare clock spring connections so i had no extra space to wire in an illumination signal wire.
@@tomharvey thank you! Yeah i will try to check one airbag and controls from my friend who has a seat leon 1P. I think i need to change the clockspring, controls and airbag or maybe i will just take the controls of the leon 1P and change the 12volts from the fuse to ignition 12volts and i wire the light and controls with ingnition.

Totally different, i did try wire a mk5 wheel up, the actual MFSW connector just plugs in; no cigar.

if your CECM (BCM) starts with 6Q1 it should be compatible 6r/6c one works, or the correct 9n/9n3 one, i used a 6r one as the 9n ones are extremely hard to find.
What about the rears.
I used polo 9n3 gti ones, straight fit obviously and match perfectly

Hi,but if you only use power and ground without hacking into the can gateway and so on,you can't open the rear windows from the drivers door?
thats the main drawback, i’ve got it sorted properly now like you say, far better method i must admit.
Tom mate I have dummy switches in those ports I’ve found a generic on off switch. I want to install that switch so that my interior LEDs turn on and off with that switch have you got an idea how to do that mate?
sorry mate i dont quite understand, i’m taking it as you’ve got interior LEDS which aren’t part of the factory sunvisor/ switchboard setup. i’d just run it off of a piggyback fuse from the fusebox, use a local ground wherever’s convenient, then just run the live wire through the switch so it switches on/ off

Im waiting for mine to be delivered. But ill be deleting the cigarette lighter and replacing it with a usb/aux extention socket with the usb connected into the stereos android auto lead. So to plug in aux or android auto ill essentially be plugging my phone into the cig lighter :') hoping it looks ok but for the ali express prices its worth a shot

Another suggestion, when you depin the connector, you left empty pins, normally you should plug them up with silicone tips, otherwise water can get in and cause issues

1 tip - Dont solder wires in cars. They end up brittle and will break in the end. Always crimp wires and that way it stays flexible.
Cheers for the input mate, in my opinion as long as you leave enough wire to take the flex then it’s completely fine, i’ve had far more issues with crimps than soldering over the years.
Haha most controversial things in automotive repair, insulated vs insulated, barrel and heat shrink, solder.. scotch locks LMAO. I say get them together how you're most comfortable and works for you.

I tried this and unfortunately no joy. the mk5 style ones have to have a control module behind them to work, they can’t solely run off of the connects2 module. It’s definitely possible, just not through this method.
Guessing you could do this with a Golf GTI Mk5 steering wheel too? Looks nicer than the Seat wheel

Hiya mate, its not too difficult. you’ll need to swap your comfort control module for one with the part number 6q0 959 433 E After that you’ll need to get a key cut to one of the remote shells, get a genuine vw key / logic board so its easy to program. Transfer your immo chip over and thats the key sorted. Hiya mate, they’re just from a polo 6R SEL spec. The actual knobs themselves are a straight swap into a 9n/3, just pull out. Just make sure to also transfer the clear plastic piece from the 6R ones, as the 9n one leaves them feeling pretty tight. The headlight switch is a straight swap though, plug and play.
I also have the polo 9n3(model after yours) and id like to upgrade my steering to a newer one with the steering controls for volume etc. do you know if there is a special module/wiring for this conversion?

you can rewire the airbag connector which is far easier, i didn’t at the time as i didn’t know how.
