Likely it hasn’t been updated to support the latest versions of blender. Try contacting the creator
This tutorial is too fast, i would rlly rate this a 1/10 tuto from the point that if a newbie watchs this then they are DONE

Hello. Why is this item only active in the layout?
It doesn't support scroll wheel up and down
bro at 1:00 ngl its bad like nothing works. i click r and it just rotates one little bit. ive done 3d cursor and it does jack shit
Turn on proportional editing and while rotate it using the scroll wheel.

cool, just what i need to make for a ds custom model. question, assuming you have played super mario 64. do you know how to make the crystal shine more like the one in the crystal cave with the green switch except with color and transparent? i think its called baked in or something like that? sorry im not super falilar with the terminology. most of the stuff i do is textures in photoshop.
This is where it gets more complex. Assuming you are using a game engine to make something? In which case you will have to make a material in which ever engine you are using. If it is in blender then you’ll have to create a more complex material likely involving node similar to a glass material setup. I’m glad you found the model useful 👌
@@chiknfrydblender5463 ah ok. its for mario kart ds in blender using a plug in that converts it to a native format on the ds called nsbmd used in multiple games actually. i'll ask my friends on the matter but this will get me part way there :P thank you for the reply!
ok this is much better than using an array modifier to make the base of the tree. Thanks :)
Yeah no worries. I find that with smaller things like this, doing it by hand is easier and takes about the same amount of time with less frustration

@@chiknfrydblender5463 Oh nevermind now, also, when i try importing the models with the colors, for some reason the colors dont show up.
Yeah. Unity can’t understand the materials in blender so you have to recreate the materials in Unity.
hey! can you teach me how to make this but with inercy and mass? i need to the item fall in the floor and dont trasspass it, like it needs a bone or something
I don’t currently have a video on this, sorry. What you are after is rigid body physics. You can search this in RUclips for plenty of blender tutorials. You would just apply the same process to the models you have made here. Hope this helps 👍

how about making a hole in the barrel?
You could use Boolean or inset and extrude inwards.

im struggling with 0:17 when i hit s and try to scale it just makes the whole box larger or smaller instead of just thinner or wider
In this example I hit “i” to inset the faces. Try that.

Suggestion: Don't teach people to scale a face to 0. Instead, teach them how to merge at center. This creates nice topology and allows for an easier and more simple workflow.
That’s a good suggestion. Even though I merge the vertices shortly after I feel like it has created a little confusion to begin with.

Are you specifically talking about the scaling of the face? or something else?

Oh, simple solution! With the face selected you hit 's' to select scale and then '0' on the keyboard, as you can manually input a specific amount needed. Make sure that you have the 'Individual Origins' selected from the 'Transform Pivot Point' menu along the top menu bar or you might not get the desired result! I hope this was helpful

That's great to hear! I use Blender regularly and find quite a bit of joy from the things I create! It can be very daunting to begin with but keep at it and learn small things at a time!
Is there a way we could add a powdered effect to the donut? Like one of those white powdered donuts?
I personally have not explored this. However, you could possibly achieve it by using a more simple geometric shape for the “sugar” and increase the amount of it in the geometry nodes, while also decreasing the scale of the actual mesh. You might also want to play with the material of the sugar as well, possibly taking away the transparency and using more of a white colour. You would be able to use the weight painting the same way to create some stylised variations in the powdering. Let me know if it works out the way you want 👍

0:10 my shape looks so weird i dont know how to make it i am clicking shift alt s but it doesent work it looks not like yours
To use the 'To Sphere' function in this instance you have to have the 'Transform Pivot Point' set to 'Individual Origins'. This is accessible along the top toolbar in the middle of the screen between 'Transform Orientation - Global' and the 'Snap' menu which is highlighted blue in the video. All of the other pivot point options will create a shape that is pointy on both top and bottom (creates like gemstone/weird diamond shape). Let me know if this helps you with your issue 👍
