But what's the point of siege engines in the actual fight\method 2? The trebuchet can be reset, but not reloaded. It's unclear how to aim it, there's no indication, no bird eye view, no kill count... it doesn't break the walls... Speaking of walls - isn't there... two more siege engine slots? For the ram and for the siege tower? I've built mine, but couldn't actually locate it. I assumed it'd perfect for positioning archers and dominating the defenders, and I hoped youtube would help with that. Still - this is a good enough video with plenty of other tricks, thanks.

Pro tip: Before siege, buy all food supply from the city. Then do the method 1 of this video. Wait until almost everyone is dead. Charge the survivors. 💀

The thing that sucks to drive normally you can only field 167 troops and I’m pretty high leveled at this point and my troops get slaughtered.

((Just so everyone is aware ther is more ways or versions /methods to perform the siege. )) (Just an additional few.. there is others obviously, imo). Probably old update. But you can also go through the gate lol. Build siege ram or/and build the additional siege towers too (for more distractions to enemy Manganiels) and then attack. Send all troops to the gate and/or have archers spread outside the gate while you wait. If ram brakes…. Then manually wack the gate for ~5 minutes until it breaks. If you got stronger then tier 3 units… should be okay dog piling through the gate. You can also bate-out the gate defenders so archers can shoot them and ambush them. Also, you can also try not building a ram at all… and then manually attack the gate, intentionally . The AI won’t have gate defenders if there is no ram built. So you can basically get into the castle easy… but you have to manually attack the front outer gate though. And depending on some castles… if you are quick, you can rush a ladder, climb it, maneuver down the wall on the other side, run to the inside gate and open them from the inside. Have your troops ready at the outer gate to rush-in once you open them. Although, I think TaleWorlds fixed this a little by having the AI spawn closer to the walls. This is harder on the realistic difficulty settings… as you may get bum-rushed and clobbered to death. There is also perk in engineering that spawns a ballista as soon as you finish the camp. A lot of times you can attack the castle before the enemy even builds one enemy siege weapon. This allows you to have free rain with shooting ppl with your ballista without catching a boulder to the head, or a giant arrow to the heart.
