Muhammad Ali is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes and cultural icons of the 20th century. His greatness goes beyond his achievements in the boxing ring, as his character, principles, and personality deeply resonated with people around the world. Here’s why he is so revered: --- Key Characteristics of Muhammad Ali: 1. Unparalleled Skill in Boxing: Ali had exceptional speed, agility, and strategy, earning him titles such as "The Greatest." His unique fighting style, including his famous "Ali Shuffle" and ability to "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee," set him apart. 2. Courage and Confidence: Ali was unflinchingly confident, often engaging in poetic trash talk that captivated audiences. He fought formidable opponents, even under immense pressure, and often overcame the odds. 3. Conviction and Principles: He famously refused to be drafted into the Vietnam War, stating that it went against his beliefs and faith, despite knowing this could cost him his career and freedom. His stance on civil rights, equality, and justice inspired millions, especially marginalized communities. 4. Charisma and Wit: Ali had an electrifying personality. His humor, charm, and ability to connect with people made him a global icon. He was as much a showman as he was a fighter, drawing people to him beyond just his sports achievements. 5. Resilience and Determination: Despite being banned from boxing for three years during his prime, he returned stronger, reclaiming his heavyweight title. His resilience extended into his later years as he battled Parkinson's disease with grace and continued to inspire through his philanthropic efforts. 6. Humanitarian Spirit: Ali was deeply involved in humanitarian work, promoting peace, helping underprivileged communities, and serving as a global ambassador for goodwill. He used his fame to raise awareness about important issues, from racial injustice to global peace. --- Why People Love Muhammad Ali: 1. Symbol of Strength and Dignity: Ali stood up for his beliefs, even at great personal cost, making him a symbol of strength and integrity. 2. Inspiration Across Generations: His story of perseverance, self-belief, and overcoming adversity continues to inspire athletes, activists, and everyday individuals. 3. Universal Appeal: Ali transcended barriers of race, religion, and nationality. His humanity and humility endeared him to people globally. 4. Voice for the Voiceless: As a Black Muslim athlete in a tumultuous era, Ali gave a voice to the oppressed and became a beacon of hope for equality and freedom. 5. Legacy of Greatness: Ali’s achievements in the ring, combined with his social impact, make him a figure who represents excellence, courage, and compassion. --- Muhammad Ali was more than just a boxer; he was a leader, a trailblazer, and a hero whose influence went far beyond sports. His legacy remains timeless.
Licensing my ass, its called fair use in most cases, or in this case public domain, you don't own the rights to these clips, no one does.
The greatest ever.
A legend from the rat pack! An artist of life
I miss Sammy
I swear this guy was the model for the Fonz.
Sammy could do anything
I believe that's songstress Lulu in the phone booth.
I remember him on "Rifleman" teaching Mark McCain how to quick draw. Lucas wasnt pleased. 😂

OMG this show opening.... wow... so much talent in that studio.... and everybody SO YOUNG..... wow...
Incredible
My mom would tell me "I love you little, I love you big, I love you like a little pig". RIP Robin, the world lost a great funny man!
I think I saw Catherine Bach (sp.).
At 0:07... That's what he does. He distracts you with those cute, wholesome funnyfaces... the next thing you know, you wake up all sore in a strange place wondering what the hell happened to you
This is NOT 1974.
This show made Lola Falana a star. And Foster Brooks was a genius comedy "drunkard". Check him out on the DEAN MARTIN COMEDY ROASTS. He's the only roaster that would get laughs before he even made it up to the podium to begin his act.
Merveilleuse
Great to see Jo there since she had been retired for 15 years at this time, 1975
Where is the rest of this show? Paley Archives has the complete first show. Where are the rest of them?
I remember that show. They should have gave it a harder push 🤨
You are missed Champ, Fly high Champ🙏❤️🐐👑🥊🕊
Boy was she high on that speed
People that are saying he wasn’t funny aren’t from the 1970’s and actually there watching him with the humor you had back then
It looks like this was taped at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
Good lip sync Ray
FUN FACT: This Celine performance was at the Caesars Palace. This was her 96-97 FALLING INTO YOU Tour back when concerts there were originally at the Circus Maximus Theatre in Caesars Palace. Eventually got torn down to make way for what was built & made for Celine..... THE COLOSSEUM!! Full Circle!!
До сих пор не верится что его нет
Robin Williams you were the greatest! It's too bad you're gone.
I had no idea that this even existed. Thought the only television she did before Knots Landing was Tabitha and Valley of the Dolls.
What a beautiful tribute to Richard Pryor!❤
look up "Sammy Davis impersonations" and "Sammy Davis shooting" and see some of his other talents
They probably didn't have any black writers on the show! If they did it was probably ONE! Which is a shame! 😕
Question to those who saw the full thing, and not the clip from here nor Clown Jewels: Did you like it? What was the show like?
The Black Hee Haw
what the flyin' fxxk? why have i never heard/seen this? these people are legends in their own times... how did this not rerun like crazy? the suits never know what they're doing do they? is it possible to watch this anywhere now? Gr8! Peace ☮💜
The same title for Lamont is that you?
The first of four "Burlesque" specials, originally telecast on March 14, 1965.
