Changing your mind and accepting inconsistency ✨Artist's Peptalk

Did you fail or did you just change your mind? Did you try something and realised it wasn't for you? Isn't that a win? In this video I try to tie up some thoughts that have been rattling around in the back of my head in the last six months. Hopefully I say some insightful things, or at the very least make some nice background noise while you draw or craft. 🕰️ Time codes: 00:00-00:53 - Intro 00:...

I'm trying to slowly get back into it after having had an artblock for two years now. It was a lot of fun sketching, drawing and trying different things without a specific goal in mind.

Rose Betts! Yes, I dig her! I "discovered" some of her songs, courtesy of Spotify’s algorithm. And you’re right, music plays such an important role for creatives. There’s something about the right sounds that seem to make the pencil glide smoother across the paper, almost like they unlock a part of your mind that’s waiting to be tapped into. Lately, I’ve been revisiting music I loved 10-15 years ago, and some of those sounds still feel relevant. They seem to spark a pattern in your head... For instance, I used to listen obsessively to Bat for Lashes - Two Suns album. When I rediscovered it years later, it brought back all these vivid memories of the visual concepts, all stories I had back then. It was such an "a-ha" moment. Books, though, that’s a different story. Last summer, I went through a streak of audiobooks, but honestly, I chose poorly, and it left me frustrated. I feel like I’m in a bit of a “book-blocked” phase right now. It’s like creativity has its own seasons, and you can’t be everything all at once. Sometimes, I wish I could wake up, dress nicely, take an inspiring walk, dive into creative work, read a book, listen to good music, spend quality time with loved ones, and just repeat that rhythm every single day. But let’s be real - if there are people out there who manage to maintain that kind of balance, they’re operating on god-level.
I just added Bat for Lashes to my Spotify - somehow completely evaded my radar, but I love the sound! I had a similar thing revisiting an old (superold) playlist from when I was at uni and it brought me right back. Both good and bad, but I felt a kind of wistful "aw, you did your best" kind of thing for my younger self 😅 Books and reading definitely go in waves, and I think it's easier during holidays and time off. When you can fully immerse yourself without feeling a pull from all the shoulds... I used to be a completionist and since I started letting myself not finish books or shows or movies, it's gotten a lot easier. Life is short, why force ourselves through media we don't enjoy? In terms of that ideal creative lifestyle - I totally have that romantic dream sometimes. I don't think anyone actually lives like that either, or that it's possible, If they do they're very privileged to begin with 😅 ...but I'm trying to facilitate glimpses of it throughout the year, and I think that's even better. You know, that thing of appreciating something because it's rare. I'm excited to see your next video by the way, your art supplies one has really popped off as the kids say! That's so exciting 🌞😁
@@josiemakes I'm glad you liked them. Memories can definitely be harsh sometimes, but like you, I remind myself it’s okay - I wouldn’t be where I am now if I hadn’t made those choices. The past is the past, and we can’t change it, so... whatever. 😅 That completionism mindset is something I’m still working on too, but I agree it doesn’t make much sense to push through. I’ve felt that way with some books. I’d push through, hoping they’d win me over, but they never did. And since I usually listen to audiobooks while painting, now some of my artwork reminds me of those books I didn’t even like! And yes, there are definitely people who either have the privilege or the mental space to focus on all the small, decorative details in life. But I feel like that second group is rare. That’s why I’m so grateful for RUclips. Have you heard of Merveilles En Papier? She’s my go-to whenever I need that cozy, creative vibe, and she’s so authentic. You might like her too - she makes these beautiful sculptures out of paper. Thank you for the kind words about my video! It was such a surprise that it took off. At first, almost no one watched it, and then suddenly, it just blew up. My next video is in the works, actually, as I’m writing this, I’m heading to the kitchen (lol) to talk about art books. I’ve been procrastinating on it forever because these types of videos are so tough to put together, but it’s an idea I’ve been wanting to do for ages. They say that if you’re not posting every week, you should aim for every other week. I’m hovering around the 18-20 day mark, which isn’t ideal, but I want to hold myself accountable. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for your videos! You should totally make one about what it’s like being an illustrator as a job. I think so many people would be curious to hear about it. We don’t all live in Los Angeles working for fancy studios, and there are so many different paths out there. Of course, no pressure, but if you ever feel like sharing your story, I know people would love it.
I haven't seen Marveilles en Papier, but it does sound like something I would like! Oh, I hear ya. There's so many involved ideas I want to film, but I have to kind of reign it in... or wait. I'm trying to be ok with good enough though, and feel like I can make "easier" videos between the involved ones and not have to prove anything or overachieve every week. You do whatever works for you, people resonate with it, though I know most of the pressures comes from inside ones own mind. Thank you for saying that. I've been thinking about that sort of video, but it's just about pulling together all the material. I want it to be useful and hopefully inspiring while not sugarcoating and that's a difficult balance... Good luck with filming 🤗
Just watched this through and I loved this little pep talk!! I am someone who tried really hard to niche down, create a style that was consistent to open an Etsy shop for my illustrations - it went really well for a few years but I ended up burning out alongside my full-time job and recently closed the shop. I am now re-learning how to create art for myself again and allow all of these different interests that I have to have space in my practice (clay sculptures, photography, collage, paper cutting, graphic design, etc) and its made SUCH a big difference. I'm exploring my style and techniques and it's been honestly so reinvigorating. I am so happy with my creative practice now and I'm not sure if I'll get back to selling my art but for now, we create art any enjoy the process. I hope to make a RUclips channel one day and continue to share my art online to help others in this tricky career/passion/life. Being a creative person is complex! I've been loving going through your videos, keep up the great work😊
Thank you for your sweet comment and oh, what an amazing journey you've been on! I relate to a lot of what you say, though I've had different experiences of course, but I think a lot of us creative people go through similar things. There's a lot of pressure to "prove ourselves"... It's very hopeful to read that you've found a place where you have joy in what you're making and that you allow yourself play. I honestly think it's the most important thing about creativity. I'm sure there are many who would love to follow your journey if you do decide to start on RUclips 😊
You have no idea how lucky you are to have hit this point early. So many, myself included, lived half a lifetime before we managed it. The longer you go before you get there, the more you have to put down once you do. If you can keep it up, you'll start to get out of your own way more and more. I'm only a few months in and it is so hard to quiet those voices. All the best luck to you. I'll be watching and cheering you on. 🙂
Thank you 🥲I believe in you! When it gets hard I try to just focus on the fun of it and not the outcome - and like I said, sometimes taking some distance and then returning to the thing can make you realise it wasn't as bad as I thought.
Thank you for sharing your experiences, Josie. Today was particularly rough for me work-wise (nothing related to art) and seeing your video brought me comfort. Maybe it's because I'm feeling especially vulnerable, but I teared up when you said, “I don’t regret trying; I only regret the fear that held me back.” It really struck a chord with me, especially now, when I’m working on building the courage to pursue something I’ve never done before. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, just like you. But I’ve fallen victim to the “that’s not a serious job” mentality. Even now, though less frequently, I sometimes feel like a teenager who isn’t taken seriously when I talk about art with people outside this world. That old voice is still there, even though it doesn’t dominate the way it used to. I’ve spent years working in corporate jobs or for small companies. In some of them, I felt appreciated, in others (like my current job), not so much. But one constant across all of them has been a strong impostor syndrome... I’ve never felt like I truly belong. And I know I could push myself to improve my situation, but I just don’t care enough to pursue something that doesn’t resonate with me. A few years ago, I thought, Why not try art? But I didn’t know where to begin. My approach back then was too desperate, and I had some awkward interactions. In both cases I felt like a failure. I wasn’t interested in "normal" jobs, and I didn’t feel good enough for the art world either. That’s why I truly appreciate your gentle approach to this topic. I think we’re often too hard on ourselves. It’s only recently that I’ve started letting go of that pressure to meet others’ expectations, and instead, I’m focusing on what I genuinely enjoy. Even the things I once felt ashamed to admit I liked. Prioritizing my true needs has helped me overcome that feeling of failure and unblock creatively. I think it’s because I stopped caring so much about being “strategic” or meeting some imagined standard. Of course, the fear of failure still pops up (it probably always will), but I’ve found that the answer lies in letting go. Listening to my inner voice has brought some clarity, and the more I follow it, the more things seem to fall into place. The road ahead is still long and bumpy, but I can’t imagine ignoring that voice anymore. I also loved your point about giving yourself a target. Having a project is such a good idea: you can step in and out, but the work you’ve done remains. Nothing is ever lost, it can always be improved. So yes, let’s be gentle with ourselves. Not everyone achieves success by 25, and that’s okay. We all move at our own pace and have different life stories. I truly believe things will fall into place if we start listening to and accepting our inner voices. Thank you for creating videos like this. Your warmth and relatability are so refreshing in a world filled with advice that often feels like it’s shouting at you. This was exactly what I needed today.😊
Oh goodness, I just want to reach through the screen and give you a hug. There's so much of what you're saying that I recognize in my own experiences, things that are hard to put into words sometimes. When I look back, I've been really insecure and mean to myself and if anything, it's stalled any feelings of fulfillment. I also want you to know that the work you do is valuable and meaningful. Not only because you're a technically very talented artist, with a style that is your own... but because of the fact that you are yourself. It can be really difficult to find that some people in ones life don't "get" the art world. Though my parents were interested in art, I realised when I myself started pursuing it (and got a deeper understanding of the intricasies and context) that they didn't actually understand that much. It took some time to accept that and understand that it doesn't mean that they were against my artistic side, just that I can't find the kind of support from them that I originally thought. But I get that from other artists I'm now getting to know. Like yourself :) I've been so overwhelmed by the "do this not this" side of social media art accounts for too long. It's just gatekeeping disguised as friendly advice. When we look back, the artists that stand out do so because they broke away from the mold and did things their own way!
Some tips on the outfit struggle! I also never know what to put on in the mornings so when I'm feeling creative I just draw myself some outfit combos of clothes I own and stick them onto my closet door :)
Great idea! I've been saving outfits from tv-shows I like, perhaps I should put them on my closet door!
Wow Johan Egerkrans' books are either rare, popular or both. Even used I can't find one less than 60$. I really like his art work!
Yes, they're very popular, especially in fantasy circles. He's illustrated several recent Swedish editions of Dungeons & dragons, other tabletop RPG's and fantasy books as well 🥲
@@josiemakes Lucky, I'm not sure all of the art in our recent D&D books was actually made by people. lol
😦 what a time to be alive.... 🙃
@ Yah, tell me about it. :)
This just reminded me that it was a mistake putting all of my books in storage temporarily 😭 it’s always fun sketching from book references since the internet is so over whelming
Oh no! I hope you will be reunited with your books soon. I totally agree with you, I much prefer the tactile experience of sifting through a book and looking up close at images. There's so much online, but also somehow everything online looks the same after a while?
@ yeah I feel the same too but I feel like that has to do with algorithms lol
One of them has a tail!!! :D <3 I love folklore :) Clothes: I just started buying multiples of the same things... and nicer but still comfy versions of... you guessed it... the same things, to where to nicer places. Also, all my socks are the same color so I don't have to match them. It's the little things. lol I don't have to plan a piece to start it but it has to go to the end most of the time... The computer helps that happen for me without messing up my sketch and preserving my sketch in case I don't like the outcome. I really can't just doodle... it makes me dissatisfied most of the time. I'm starting to try and embrace the idea of thumbnails or prelim sketches but that will take time. Love Brandon Sanderson. I hope you read more! His writing only improves after Elantris. Yes, it was his first published novel. Good luck with your channel!
Aw yay, a fellow folklore fan :D I'm planning on making a video about the Huldra and its different versions! If people like that I have a whole list of Scandinavian creatures I want to talk about ^^ Oh, I hear ya, I've been whittling down my wardrobe into clothing that is comfortable BUT also look nice and put together. It's just that, you know, the inspiration to put them together into new combinations just hasn't existed. It's tough when it feels like there's a block to do a particular type of drawing or part of the process and I don't really have a solution for that other than... not doing it for a while. Not pushing yourself too hard (or comparing to others, which I am guilty of myself) is usually the thing that makes it easier over time. For me, making thumbnails of an illustration was a game-changer but I can see how it isn't for everyone. And now I'm even more excited to read more Sanderson! :D Finished Elantris this weekend and it left a gaping hole! Thank you for your sweet and thoughtful comment, it looks like we have a lot in common :D
@@josiemakes Okay, you got a subscriber! I would love to learn more about Scandanavian critters and folktales from someone who grew up with them. Context matters so much and I far prefer listening to someone talk about such things above reading about them (not that I don't but if I have a choice, I prefer to be told). As to clothes: HA! I don't make those choices :D I live in a tank top and leggings. I have nicer leggings/dressy yoga pants and shirts that I put on over my tank tops for slightly nicer needs. I haven't drawn in a very long time, not steadily, so I haven't gotten to the "art block" section of being an artist again. It is still very much just trying to dust off my skills and see what remains. I have managed to work on something nearly everyday of January which is a huge step forward but I still have a long way to go. I'm relearning and learning everyday from RUclipsrs just like you. :) Forty-four is late in the game to try to resurrect my creative drive but... seems like it's still buried in there somewhere. You're so welcome! Visit www.brandonsanderson.com/pages/standalones-cosmere to find the books outside of the series. Mistborn and Stormlight are huge time commitments and sometimes that's just too much. But these are fun and not reading the rest of the Cosmere shouldn't effect your enjoyment of them. I look forward to your future videos!
Aw thank you 🥲 I hope you like it here! I totally get what you're saying, it is different to get some things told to you. With fairy tales and lore, the way I see it, that's the way they were meant to be experienced! Doing art every day, even in small ways, is a big thing but it can also be very rewarding. I resonate with a lot of what you're saying and want to talk more about those "struggles" too. I also want to say you're never too old, but you're not even old! And anyway, doing it just for you is a good enough reason! I've been eyeing Mistborn, just need a palette cleanser to digest Elantris, and then I'm taking the plunge!
I’ll gladly check out Brandon Sanderson. I’m always on the hunt for something interesting to listen to while spending long hours at my desk. Audiobooks and podcasts have been so helpful for me, they really keep me focused. I completely agree about reading, I’m trying to get back into the habit, especially in the evenings. However, with two cats who are always at their most active right before bedtime, it can be a bit of a challenge since they still have some growing up to do. By the way, I loved the cozy vibe of this video and that shot of you editing was such a clever touch, I really appreciated it. And honestly, I don’t know how other people stay motivated to style themselves before going out. I always face the boring jeans problem, even though I have a few other clothes I could wear. Somehow, it just never feels worth the hassle.
Sanderson's podcast is very casual and they really cover a lot of different topics. I tend to like the ones specifically relating to writing, books, the creative process of course, but there's also some episodes on every thing from gaming to philosophy. It's a bit like listening in on a conversation, which I like. As much as I love reading, it's one of those things that goes in waves. And thank you! I want to make more casual videos, and be brave to post something longer as well 😅 I tend to cut away a lot and end up with around 10 min videos. I'm afraid people will lose interest 🫠 Thanks for watching as always ❤️
I'm so glad you popped up in my RUclips recs today! The perfectionism/burnout loop is brutal and your message for how you've handled it is beautifully said. I look forward to seeing more from you. :)
Oh gosh, thank you so much for your kind words ❤️
Can I bother you? xD Happy New Year, Josie! Oh, I could talk about this topic for hours. First of all, what even is perfection? It’s such a subjective thing… Like a gate to nowhere because it completely depends on the person. That “wonky” camera angle… Maybe it feels wonky to you, but I see it as adding a nice, flowy, and funny vibe to your editing. It’s the same way you might find something amazing in another creator’s video that they think isn’t “perfect enough.” And honestly, once you’ve achieved what you think is perfection… is that it? Or will you just move the goalpost again? Perfection can feel like chasing something that’s never truly enough, so I get why you’d want to let that go. It’s freeing, right? When it comes to making videos, I’ve noticed the ones that resonate most are those where viewers can see themselves reflected: whether it’s their feelings, experiences, or needs. That’s why sometimes content that doesn’t give away the “obvious” might not perform as well, but it doesn’t mean it’s not good! I personally loved your last video-it felt perfect for that moment in time. I think the more honest and authentic you are, the more people connect. You can always tell when someone was genuinely in the mood to create versus when they weren’t. And being a creator… It’s tough! It takes so much time, planning, and energy. I’m wishing you all the best in reaching your RUclips goals this year. May you have some achievable (but not overwhelming!) plans to keep that creativity flowing. A peaceful mind definitely helps ideas come alive. ❤
Happy new year! 😊 Haha, yes, please bother me! I am always both surprised and happy when I see your comments. This is exactly what I've been thinking, the thing that makes another creator interesting in my eyes are the things that only they do or say or how they present. So maybe my flaws can be that for others haha. Like you say, a lot of reach is about marketing, and that's so difficult when the topic is near to heart. Sometimes it feels silly making thumbnails or writing a "grabby" title, but it's part of it. I'm looking forward to just having fun this year and (hopefully) meeting more creators 😊 and the same to you, it'll be fun to follow your work!
@@josiemakes 😊 Same here! I have a feeling that if we met in real life, we’d totally vibe with each other.
@@rampant.hare.illustrations Yes, and I think we're drawn to similar aesthetics as well 😊

Thank you 🥹😘
Happy holidays and a happy new year! 😊🎉 I hope the new year brings you plenty of subscribers and lots of joy in creating. I loved the story, the colors, and the composition-all worked so well together! There’s something about blues and greens that, when combined, give a sense of peace. I hope you had fun making it. As usual, you rock the acrylics.
And the same to you! I'm wishing you a fruitful year, that you'll be able to spend more time making art ✨🎆 Thank you for making RUclips feel like a friendly place 🤗

I loved your dried oranges, they retained their color very well. Curious what temperature you used?
thank you, I believe it was 75°c 😊
They look soooo cute! I already wanted to try it out since Rachel's video, but now I want to even more haha 😭
Thank you 🥲 Do it! Honestly easier than I thought except for the stickines lol! Someone said to try potato starch and water instead of glue and Ill be trying that next time (less sticky)
use corn or potato starch mixed with water instead of glue ,it works way much better
Amazing, I'm gonna have to try that! Thank you!

Lovely mice and thanks for the trivia as well!
Thank you for the nice comment ❤️
Ok, I'll start with the ending: the mice turned out great! Honestly, the imperfections you see give them character and make them unique-I wouldn’t mind receiving a gift like this (I don’t mind the ghost attached). Lucia is such a beautiful tradition. Yeah, the origins trace back to southern Italy, but she’s not really celebrated there beyond the saint’s name. You guys have truly made this celebration your own!😍 Loved the video-it was so relaxing to watch. I really enjoyed how you wove a bit of history into it. ❤ 💪
Haha, thanks! It was so much fun (but sticky!). It's truly so cool how different traditions are within this little continent. It's one of my favourite things about being European. Are you celebrating anything special? And thank you for the encouragement 🙈 Would like to tell more stories and do more "history lite" in the future, this was a bit of a rest to see how I could work it in with the making 😊 ❤️
@ Absolutely, it worked very well. Many people enjoy watching videos while working on something else, so storytelling is definitely a great approach. Where I live, winters are gloomy, and the landscape feels like it’s straight out of “The Others”. There are ghost and witch stories tied to the area. Christmas isn’t very unique here, but the Befana, celebrated in January, is popular across Italy. She’s a witch who brings candy to good kids and coal to naughty ones.
@@rampant.hare.illustrations it still sounds dreamy with a gloomy Christmas among that lovely Italian architecture. Here in the south of Sweden we don't get as much snow either, but I like a "gothic Christmas". I hope you have a wonderful holiday season ✨ I look forward to your next video 😊
These are all so neat! Thank you for sharing all your DIY Christmas ideas
Thank you for saying that! It was fun to try some new crafts ❄️✨
Funnily enough, I am an artist who started writing "a book". This was really useful in reframing things. Thank you.
Aw thank you for taking the time to comment! Good luck with your creative journey ❤️
As always, love the cosy feeling! Great small little creative ways to get that holiday feeling. And I really liked to get to know you better, lovely chatting session!

Such a lovely and cozy video! My mum did the dried orange slices decoration when I was a kid, maybe I'll make some for my place this year.
Thank you for saying that! Do it, it was surprisingly easy and very satisfying to make 😊
First of all, the Christmas decorations turned out really pretty! The acorns feel so Scandinavian, especially with those colors-they really give off that vibe. As someone who "struggles" xD just like you, I have to say I love watching your videos. They just hit home for me. Although I’m deeply into illustration and don’t have much time for anything else, I really enjoy it when people share more than just their main skill... I hope I’ll have the courage to do that someday too. Maybe we can both get inspired to create something like a vlog-a week of creativity or something similar. It doesn’t have to be anything big, just sharing our days and how we tackle things. I think a lot of people would connect with that, not just other creators, but viewers too. RUclips has so many videos with unrealistic daily goals and perfect setups. While I do enjoy pretty things (who doesn't), sometimes they just feel fake. They’re nice to look at, but they’re not realistic. When the video ends, it’s hard to carry that feeling into real life because it’s not achievable...
I am always so taken aback by your comments, you are such an incredibly thoughtful person! And I really do like what you put out too. Your art, the themes you paint, your storytelling and your voice all feel very familiar. I think as long as you enjoy what you do, there's no need to push yourself to do something different if it doesn't feel true to you. Though, of course it would be fun to see how you tackle that 😊 I totally agree, RUclips as a platform is great but easy to get caught up in trends or how others do their videos. I certainly feel pressured to make it shiny and neatly wrapped up. I want to remain authentically me, while still spreading my wings and trying stuff. I'm working on balance haha ... I would love to see a week in your life! Would be fun to take on the same challenge like that and exchange notes on how it went x
@@josiemakes You’re absolutely right about the RUclips rabbit hole. I personally find the technical side of RUclips overwhelming at times. As you mentioned, it takes a lot of time to prepare, let alone stay genuinely creative and approach your ideas with the same enthusiasm you had when planning the video. I once heard someone say, “If you get bored by your own video, viewers will too.” While that might not apply to everyone, I’ve definitely noticed that pattern-especially with time lapses. That’s partly why I want to diversify my content. I tried in the past, but it felt a bit lonely and awkward, which didn’t help. That’s actually one of the things I love about your videos-you manage to come across as so easygoing, even though I’m sure it’s not always easy. At the end of the day, we’re all in the same boat. I hope you’ll keep creating your amazing content, and as always, thank you for your kind words! Whenever I feel stuck, I know I can count on you to give me motivation. 😊
Totally. I was making videos years ago, very sporadically, but haven't been able to stick to a consistent routine until this year and it's because in the past it was overwhelming and I was expecting myself to be perfect from the start. It's only now, since I am accepting that I'm learning something new with each video - I'm not expecting top quality in both the video and it's content - that it's becoming easier to just do. But it also depends on the week and day that I'm filming, some weeks confidence is loooow. I do fear people getting bored, and I cut out a lot of stuff that is probably fine to keep. Would like to challenge myself to leave more room to breathe. Thank you for saying that, you motivate me too! ❤️
You're videos being me comfort and peace. I love the way you talk, no nonsense. Thank you.🎉
Aw, that's so sweet of you to say! ❤️🥹
Oh my goodness!! What a beautiful interesting painting!! LOVE it!! And loved watching you paint it!! <3
Thank you, how sweet of you to say! It was a lot of fun, and I think I'll be doing some more in the future 🥰
So tired of processes.
well, thanks for the engagement, you'll probably get more of these on your feed now 😊✨
Awesome 9:44
Thank you! <3
So I made myself a cup of tea, saw your video notification, and thought, “Oh nice, perfect combo.” But at one point, I was like, “Wait, who the heck is she talking about?” 😂 Thanks, Josie! Just wait till I share my favorite art books and the person who inspired me to make that video. 😅 Regarding your art piece-first of all, acrylics are pure evil 😂 They’re so hard to master, but you’re doing great! They actually suit your comic style really well. Also, I’ve got a few pieces myself that didn’t make it into my “aesthetically pleasing” portfolio. I once spent a whole day studying one of Da Vinci’s famous angels (just the face). After hours of work, I remember asking myself, “What’s the point of doing this?” I actually felt pretty down that day. It ended up in my forgotten drawer. But looking back now, I think it was okay. Not every piece needs to be ‘the’ piece, and not everything has to go online. Sometimes, just the decision to make it is enough to give it meaning.
Haha, if anything this just goes to show that everyone is different, I think acrylics are easier than watercolours - which you obviously use masterfully! 😅 I totally agree with you, I don't share everything I make and I don't make everything to share either. But you know, there's a lot of excellent artists with original thoughts and sometimes I slip into comparing myself to others. I guess everyone does 😅 but yeah, I've probably learned the most from my "failed" art than any of the good ones! Definitely keeping "the decision to make it is enough to give it meaning" above my desk. That's such a good motto.
I recommend checking out Aneta’s channel if you liked this video 😊www.youtube.com/@rampant.hare.illustrations Have a wonderful week!
If that’s the fashion you wish to wear just do it. You’ve only got one shot at life so grab it with both hands z
Oh god, yeah, making a website is so much "fun". Same for Instagram. I hope decluttering your space gave you some good motivational vibes. Sometimes, it's good to slow down and do something else.
You're sweet! I truly feel "recentered" after the declutter, I'm more excited about sitting there, which is a step in the right direction. Trying not to push myself, and have fun!
@@josiemakes Definitely, I think being inspired by your workspace is essential. Personally, I don’t have many objects in my house, but I put a lot of effort into my creative corner. It gives me that 'me time.'
I talk to my critic voices. I say things like, "Oh, shut up, I'm having fun" or "Tell me about that later when it's time to improve a few things about this" or "Awe, you always say that - even when I get something really cool done." It seems to help, both to keep me working - and working more happily - and to mellow the voices. If a voice is really hostile, like "You're a complete failure," I just say back, "You lie."
That's such a good tip! Cause deep down I know the inner critic is wrong or scared haha. I definitely want to have more fun with my art, have it be easygoing.
Another great video to follow along with your everyday life! Love it🧡🧡
Love the art deco book - so elegant
I know right! 😍
Pro tip...your left hand is the one that forms an L when held palm side out. I have pirate's clothes...an eye patch but also a cat mask and ears so I'll be a pirate kitty or Puss and boots. But I am missing my cool over the knee suede boots THAT I've NEVER WORN lol. Happy Halloween dear heart!
Fenty Beauty should sponsor you! A no make look for a no make up gal

the shadows were such a bonus!

I’m so glad this popped up on my home page! This is such a great idea, I love gothic style architecture and am definitely going to give this a go! You have such an engaging editing style, great video! :D
Aw thank you so much, that's such a sweet thing to say 🥲 Do it! It was very easy and super fun to think up odd little designs 🎃
I love how simple and clean they look, yet the effect is so beautiful! Even the little bats on the lampshade were such a clever detail! I am surprised your video and channel don’t have more views and subscribers! You make really lovely videos 😊 Keep it up!
Aw thank you! you're so sweet for commenting 🤗
Great inspiration for something you make look so easy but give such a big impact. Look forwards watching your videos further with the Halloween feelings in them!😍
Yay! ❤️
