I wish to encourage more people to learn to fly and get their pilots license. The freedom and joy it brings is unbelievable and hard to capture, but i will try. I fly the world record breaking shark aero.
I was invited last year to fly the shark aero, so a few weeks ago, I flew over to Norfolk Uk to fly the Shark. It was such a nice day, my brother and I were able to cruise over to Norfolk in the sting S4 at just under 11,000 feet. It’s actually the highest I have flown my plane. I’m not in a rush to do it again though as it took forever to get down.
As many of you probably know, the youngest person to fly around the world used a shark aero, and his sister did the same thing just the year before. After test flying this remarkable aircraft, I now know, and understand how they were possibly able to do such an incredible feat. The Shark aero made it possible.

A friend of mine said that he hadn’t seen his brother in a very long while. He asked if would fly him to Cardiff ! As his brother is also an old friend of mine ! I took a friend that has never been in a light aircraft before on his first flight. It turned out to be a very special day in deed. My wing man mark few with us . We first flew to Harden Airport, then stopped off at Canarvan Airport for dinner before playing low level along the coastline. It was the stuff of my dreams.

Today, I purchased a new sting Carbon S4 IS, and nervously flew it back home. I have never flown sting S4 before or used a glass cockpit AFIS display, so this was a first. I slowed the plane down to 70 knots in the video to see how slow and stable it could fly, as I want to be able to fly with my friends in slightly slower aircraft in formation. A friend and I fulfil a childhood dream to fly to Sandown with friends from my local flying club. Everyone should try learning to fly. The feeling of freedom is crazy. We fly the Needles for the first time. It felt like a Dream. No Roads, no fences No speed limits, just pure flying with friends.

Fantastic video & really informative! There are very few videos of how to practically use the constant speed prop in flight, so it was great to have a brief summary of this too 👍🏼
I remember building model airplanes, now they are doing full sized ones based on my models. I made moulds for the fuselage, cut foam wings....
Please continue to upload, they are great to watch. I had 10 lessons from the age of 17-18, unfortunately unable to get my PPL due to a medical issue. So I live vicariously through you guys and I will hopefully find a mate with a plane later in life haha.

Why no video of your landing at Cardiff?
The GoPro cameras whet flat on route. I was. It was a bit annoying once I go home to Find the footage ended. Looking to get some better cameras I think with a better battery life. I should of used the blue tooth to turn them on and off in flight I guess. Thanks for watching and the comment

Nice, what numbers are you getting with your Sting? Speed, fuel burn?
Hi there. Thanks for watching. I'm still trying to work it out exactly but ! it seems to be using around 14 litres per hour at around 90 knots - 110 knots, and 16 - 17 litres per hour at 120 - 125 knots. It's fitted the Rotax 912 IS. I'm currently having a power max constant speed prop fitted; I have never used one but! I'm told this will transform the aircraft and the figures some what. What do you fly?
@@rogerclarke3291constant speed will definitely show improvement on those numbers. Flying a KFA Explorer 912, in South Africa.
That’s awesome, KFA Explorer is a wonderful aircraft, specially when fitted with those bush tyres. Very capable aircraft. You must be so pleased with it.
Hi I made an error. Few to Cardiff airport yesterday and checked the consumption. It used around 9 litres per hour coming back. Not 14 :) 😮

Roger… this is absolutely brilliant! I’m currently building my own diy tug that is a little similar to the one you’ve built. May I ask what kind of bearings you used for the wheel cradle (the bit that enables the swinging motion to hold/release the nose gear)?
