I agree they are good, but I disagree with the overall points, they don't support the message of why they're good and it's easy to pick apart your existing points. I would say they're very bad for new/bad players, but good for most seasoned players. Firstly, they're random but also predictable, and the explanation is what is LEAST noob-friendly. You can predict when you might get a critical hit based on the amount of damage dealt in the past 20 seconds along with a few other small factors like whether you're using ranged or melee at the moment you roll for a critical. Some of the points make sense generally but fall apart. For example stating that critical hits teaches people the game mechanics and good for new players is perhaps the most unintuitive assumption I could imagine. Not only does the community wrongly mis-name critical hits as random crits, but somebody that is already bad at FPS will die to them more often in the first place because of the increased chance mechanic. If anything, performing well without any critical hits will be a better teacher of how to score more critical hits in the first place. Critical hits are truly a "snowball" mechanic, and as such usually can't be used as crutch by less skilled players, because it's not good enough to be a crutch. You're better off scoring assists and playing as a team than trying to score kills. You'll score more critical hits the longer you stay alive and the more damage you dish out to people passing by. 20 seconds is a long time for a single engagement, a lot of damage can be done in 20 seconds. New players don't typically have the sense to position themselves around a map with pre-existing knowledge, let alone an inventory of items to help them counter stalemates, to meet the threshold to roll for a critical hit. Also, spy is easily the worst class for any competent team. All you need to do is take a look at competitive 6v6 rollouts. All it takes is for somebody to turn around even against trick stabbing extraordinaires . Rolling two crits in a row a soldier is effectively gambling, if you did 0 damage in the past 20 seconds. Not only this, but everyone on the enemy team (particularly the three or four other teams you boldly charge against) also have this chance, too.

Try using classic and then realize you don't really need to headshot too many classes or even shoot a full-charged shot for that matter. Sydney really really does poorly as soon as you get anyone that's even close to being good at the game using stock sniper (or god forbid, the Machina) on the enemy team. Mostly for the reason that when you're fighting sniper v. sniper you want to minimize your time exposed to the enemy sniper when you're trying to get a med pick or snipe down an overhealed heavy. Sydney can't do those things in an instant, so you spend a lot of time inadvertently exposing yourself and getting counter-sniped or flanked or a combination of both.

I recorded that video 3+ weeks ago, before the whole FixTF2 thing. Concerning the 1.99 € spent for the Sydney Sleeper: I joined the movement and I won't spend another penny on the game before the game is fixed

Point 3: Scout is a major revolving point of the balance of the game, he's strong but not oppressive, making him at all times able to be one-shot by a Soldier point-blank will just neuter him with the one thing he's supposed to be good at, and it'd just promote boring passive playstyles, if you want to nerf the class you're better off looking to get the straight upgrade secondary weapons gutted, Crit-o-Cola is still OP, Mad Milk is probably one of the strongest weapons in the game, PBPP is free healing for no real downside, etc. Or getting something like the Soda Popper nerfed due to being a straight upgrade over stock due to high DPS, fast reload time, and the extra jump mechanic.

Point #1 is incredibly flimsy, the YEW is terrible simply because the benefit of the Silent Killer passive is nullified due to 1. The stab sound is still audible, it's a very unique sound so it's not hard to make out, especially when it's happening to someone within 10ft of you, even during combat. 2. The ragdolls aren't deleted instantly, I've noticed many a YEW spy just because a body flies past me before it could finish being cloaked. 3. You can just call out the spy, callouts aren't exclusive to competitive environments. It's outclassed by most other spy knives just because they actually offer you something, Big Earner and Kunai trade something that's not actually that important, your max HP, for something that's really useful, chaining stabs, or the ability to get the hell out of there. The only things its better than are the Spycicle and the stock-knife (unless you're in a scenario where you needed that extra cloak) Point #2 is just... nothing. You say Spy isn't that bad but your only argument is the claim that nobody in casual play is giving call-outs, and then you just dream up a hypothetical scenario where Spy COULD be very useful. The problem with Spy isn't that he doesn't have a niche, it's that it's either a niche filled better by another class, or just very risky when you could do something safer. Also, you didn't include any other reason why anyone else would be worse than spy, the only class I can think of that could be worse is Heavy, but I don't agree at all, Heavy is just a strong anchor, and as long as the map doesn't majorly benefit Sniper he can easily take control of a fight. Similarly, I could say Pyro is the best class in the game by saying "well sometimes you're on a really tight map and he has phlog crits + uber, he just wins there" but that's ignoring all the context of the situation, or anything that could be doing the job Pyro is doing, but better.

6:15 random crits DO NOT help new players, its based on how much damage you've done in a certain amount of time. Better players will get nore rng crits, besides skullcutter and especially the holiday punch dont need rng crits. Being able to stun lock an ubered pair should take some semblance of skill to do.

Addition for hot take No 7: TF2 is also P2W, because you need to buy stuff in order to call out for a medic.

Scout is great in 1v1's (that's what he was designed for) But he's shut down hard by sentries and spam. I think 125 is fine. 🍌

If you are going to say spy isnt the worst class, you have to say which class is worse than it. Having use in situations isnt enough. They arent saying spy is the worst in every case, they are saying he is generally.

the YER and chainstabbing are fun, yes. But it makes the role of the spy as a pick class more difficult. You cannot blend in with your disguise as well, and the 33% lower cloak drain rate sucks. Fun for casual, bad for winning with teamplay.

1 hidden downside to spy (and sniper): You do not contribute to your teams healthpool. With other classes, when the enemy (tries to) shoot at you, they are not shooting at your teammates. So as a spy you have to do way more damage than a soldier in order to have the same value to your team (not considering that the spy is a pick class).

I actually agree with about 50% of these not gonna lie. Anyways, it wasn't the unusual that caused me to rage, it was the spawncamping with a medic then laughing when I got a oneshot rocket. I understand that you needed footage to prove a point. No hard feelings.

I'm reminded of the lazypurple video where he talks about the "THICC" mercs and their absence of curves. I didn't think about it this way before, but the characters being guys is actually mechanically better for the game. Having a more even rectangular hitbox would feel more consistent rather than an hourglass where shooting the middle would have the shot potentially miss due to the hourglass shape.

the situation on trans people in sports is: that it varies extremely. its completely dependent on the transition and at what point the person is at. it is very much possible for a trans woman to compete fairly if they're at a advanced stage of there HRT treatment. despite the fact men are genetically predisposed to have more muscle density and bone density, HRT will cause lots of muscle loss over time. the longer the more. so saying all trans women should be banned from sports with women isn't a very good argument. not to mention, the number of people this would be affecting. in 2021, 1.03% of people were trans which actually amounts to 2.6 million people being discriminated against in sports. a ridiculious thing I saw was trans women being banned from playing competitive chess in the womens section. more than anything, the message that sends is women are dumber than men, and therefore need protection from even intelligence based games.

The model still looks really good and i genuinely don't think it's bad but still something about heavy not being... heavier? just feels off. Don't get me wrong heavy isn't fat in tf2 he's just bigger. He has strength and the comics even shows it, he's more like a man with fat over a layer of muscle which is how most strong men look. But when you switch to the female heavy you don't really see that whole fat with muscle underneath you just see a leaner heavy. Idk maybe im just crazy.
