Wrong direction on tire pressures and too timid with my driving so I go backwards from P5 to P8. Had some camera weirdness going on, not sure if the mount was loose and it messed with the stabilization or what.

Swamped at the start because I was asleep, tried to keep Tony behind but didn’t have the pace. Last three laps are 35.9, 35.9, 36.0

Not back on track until late June so I figured I’d post the two sessions from CMP - mostly scrubbing in and getting used to the Falken RT660's (don’t care for em) and the Stoptech C43’s I installed after battling a mushy pedal at COTA - also I realized I have a nervous tick....

Nice driving
That's better.
that camera issue makes me think im on drugs
@@Todd161 like surprise a surprise LSD trip 👀
man I want a e36 so bad to grip and drift 😅 , one day I’ll find one specially since I just got a job
you embarrass me, you're terrible, you need to take lessons...... or just quit!😝
Does that have auto blip from the mega squirt? Sounds sick!
@@SchusterDrifting nope it’s all manual - S50US (basically a churched up M50) so cable throttle/no fly-by-wire. Autoblip would make my life much easier.
@@jamescathers that’s sweet dude, nice lines, too! Came across this video and saw the e36 in the channel picture, I had to check it out haha. Keep up the great work man!
@@SchusterDrifting thanks man! Have fun out there!
Driving like this is how you win🏆keep it up and be safe out there!!
Look at you, racing all clean. Did you learn nothing from me in iracing sir?😂 love the vids brother! Daniel L
Doing bodywork in real life is such a pain in the ass, great motivator to avoid any boops 😂
12:54 for the obligatory "good girl." I'm proud of both of you.
Haha, love the dash pat at 8.40 ‘good car!’ Nice driving, dude!
Coolness
What's the power train? Great job!
It’s a 95 M3 so it has the 3.0 S50US - basically a hopped up M50. Bolt ons and a lot of miles on it, they put me on the dyno after this race and it made 225whp peak. Unfortunately mechanical throttle body so I can’t flat tune like the rest of the field.
@@jamescathers wow, fantastic results for a non-flat tuned car - driver mod showing up. I have a 5.3 LS miata (w/ dbw) that I'm hoping to have ready to race the end of this season and/or next season (I ran an old supra w/ a K swapped this season), but the c5's are such weapons that I'm curious how the 2024 rules are going to change.
@@AndyFuntown - thats the million dollar question at the moment, very curious to see what they do
@@jamescathers personally I'd like to see flat tunes gone and about a 30hp bump on average to accommodate, but it's unlikely. great driving out there James!
Nice work! 👍
I'm just here for the little steering wheel pat @11:45.
sweet 325is bro
I remember this weekend. My first time at Rd Atlanta w/ you as instructor. I went back as de2 for the toy run in 2020 and it was a $hit show! Way too many cars but still a blast. I hit the wall in turn 7 from over steer in 6 and paid for a new "paint job" on the wall but was too fun. Hope you are still busting records. See you again one day!
Sorry to hear about tagging the wall - in the infamous words of Mark Webber "If you're gonna race cars mate, you're gonna crash cars" - hopefully you're back out there as well!
What was that comment to yourself at 0:45?? Awesome laps man!
“Well that didn’t work” 😂 by not going down to 3rd gear it pushed wide and the car jumped all over on the curbs, necessitating that fist full of opposite lock. I guess the extra power from going to 3rd gear gives it a little rotation on exit that was missing in 4th.
Nice driving man!
That first run looked like it felt good. I need to get back out there with y'all.
nice can't wait to try mine in about a month
Fawk thats flying for 135whp! Congrats 🤙
Fast as always man! Even when it isn't your car haha
Very nice, gentlemen, very nice! 👍🏁🔥
You're f*cking crazy
Text book...
Don't think you'll have to worry about that record being broken anytime soon.
Somebody get this man a pro ride, lol.
Bit of step up from your TonyKart/ICC huh?
it's been a learning curve for sure - easier in some respects, harder in others. I do miss karts tho
<3 nice lap brother! seriously love the soft pat on the dash at end... "you did good pig you did good"
haha... I made a voice cameo in the end!
As I weep quietly over my one and only track record, now broken, I raise my glass to you. Cheers, sir... you deserve it. Excellent driving.
All for naught after this year! You'll be in good shape for TT5 or 6 next year, I'd bet you'll snag some TR's
That just means YOU get to be the guy whose record stands forever! Yeah, I'm looking forward to TT5/6, I think the new motor gives us the potential to be able to maximize the new ruleset.
Car notes: 99 Miata unopen BP4W, stock ECU with DPTune reflash intake, RB header, full exhaust Xida-S 800/500, RB 1.125" front bar, 14mm rear bar 205/50/15 R7 on 15x9 2430lbs this session with 130rwhp peak
Nice run!
thanks man! was good practice, little miatas are harder to drive the the long-wheelbase havin' M3 - twitchy little boogers on the limit.
Nice driving that weekend! Glad that exhaust finally stayed on haha
line looks good to me and great car control. Faster than me. Nice!
Nice. Great example of turning early.
Nice! You were really finding the limits of grip. Quick hands!
