Midtown Madness 2 Mod Showcase: Red Rocket GTS

A fictionalized version of the Ferrari 360 Modena, a mod of which can be downloaded alongside the RRGTS in a two-car pack, and a hypothetical successor to the original Red Rocket. If you don't know the original Red Rocket, it's a fictionalized Ferrari F355 that was included as a demo car in the Vehicle Creation Kit for MM1. It was later ported to MM2 for the Revisited mod, making the GTS a fan-made but lore-friendly mod. One rule of the Red Rocket is that they always have to be red, so you can't pick another color for any of the models.

I have always thought that "Chaise Lounge" is a beautiful track, even though it is pretty short. I'm so satisfied to be able to play Forza Motorsport 2 on my new PC through the Xenia emulator. I've been playing through the career mode and having a lot of fun with it. The game doesn't lag much during races, so it's playable enough for me. I really like how the Z drives in the game, and how it sounds very accurate to the real car. It's one thing that Forza did better than Gran Turismo.

Yeah, I believe MM2 modders should give MM1 the same attention, although it's not as versatile as MM2 due to the lack of the source code.

I'm here! What I find interesting is that every single generation of the Punto is available for MM2 as mods, even the less popular facelifted models.
Yeah, even if some of them are not lore-friendly like the mods I'm aiming to show, it's impressive. Moreso, some MM2 community members are Polish (including sajmon14, most famously), where Fiat is somewhat popular as well. I know the HQTM-Team was composed of a bunch of Poles, so they made the Fiat Punto mod that you drove once before.
Okayyy, this video is finally picking up the views I wanted. I guess it really helped to rename the video with the Japanese title, so that Japanese viewers are invited.

You can beat DUI Dummy by pursuing him, but not inflicting damage to the vehicle yourself. This may be tedious, but the AI also takes a route through a car park that the suspect may have trouble getting out of.

Yup, I wouldn't mind being one. After all, I enjoy watching American police bodycam videos, which can often be hilarious, and I enjoy enforcing the rules, laws, and whatnot.

Totally! However, MysteryDriverX's map mods are pretty good too. I once learned that he once worked on an unreleased Buenos Aires map mod, but it was put on hold because of how difficult it is to make map mods for this game.
Fun fact: the New York addon map for MM2 is a conversion from Midnight Club Street Racing and it contains the old World Trade Center that was destroyed in 2001.

They are, except that I would totally love to have a Quantum/HiAce taxi mod in MM2. That would be pretty fun.

Sounds to me like a remix of X by Xzibit. Same vibe, and on CDs and Vinyls often were various remixes of one song. Huh, "X" is one of my favorite rap songs and I can hear the resemblance. This is not AI, as this song was sourced from a video dating back to 2009, which has been deleted.
Glad to see Xenia running well on your PC. One minor thing I don't like about the Forza games is the lack of license plates on the cars, why is it like that? In most racing games I know, the cars at least have a rear license plate, but not in Forza.
I have no idea. My first thought was that Forza Motorsport is a track-focused racing game, so it's irrelevant to assign license plates to them as if they were road-legal. However, I still get your point because in every Gran Turismo game, cars have placeholder plates with their model name on it, which is better than nothing. I've always preferred realistic license plates, even in track-focused games. Other than that, I cannot quite theorize why that might be the case. It might have something to do with the complexity of the game's damage model, but I can't tell if I'm right, so that's about it. However, Forza Motorsport 2 has a livery editor similar to NFS Carbon and Juiced 2, so we can always remedy the issue with that. Forza Horizon 3 introduced license plates, at least, but since their introduction, they've been looking like goofy faux European plates.
Well congrats on the new PC. When it comes to BeamNG, I only tried the tech demo about a decade ago and it ran like crap on my laptop. I'm glad to see how the game evolved since it's early days.
I did start with the tech demo as well, and I agree that the game has evolved. Not only is it a sandbox driving game, it can double as an RPG as well.

Nice video, this game has a really been on my radar too much because it's more like a sandbox crash simulator than an actual racing game, but it's cool to see it shaping up, I mostly go for pure racing games with some real or fantasy elements. I'm not really interested to try out the career mode because I don't have that much time on my hands to grind through a lengthy experience just to unlock stuff, I just want to have everything unlocked, have mods, and just make videos of action packed racing in an old school way. If BeamNG has pure racing elements, lots of mods, a feature to set up your own custom racing scenarios, and good AI, then I will be happy to try it out.
Well, I'm more of a career mode player, since I play it for that delayed gratification. To me, there's nothing better than being rewarded with cool stuff after doing things. BeamNG does have some AI races, though the AI needs some work on it and one part of me believes that you can make fully customizable races in the game, since this game is very mod-friendly. One thing that I know well is that in Freeroam mode, you can spawn other cars that will either chase, follow, or run away from you.
