If the tyre is smaller then 28mm then hookless is probably not for you. No panic needed, just grab your innertube. Latex or TPU is almost as fast. In all cases check the box, your own weight, rim inner width and tyre width. Never go beyond 73 psi, use tyre pressure calculator and if the recommendation is above 73 psi, hookless is not for you

Hi Hugo. Sorry for the late reply! You should consider the CONTACT Urban. This tyre was designed to be as puncture resistant as much heavier tyres, but is only around half the weight. Also, it features a Continental performance rubber compound called PUREGRIP, which can be found in some of the sporty road and MTB tyre performance models. Check out the Continental CONTACT Urban next time - available in many sizes.

Hi there. Do you mean the added anti-puncture material under the tread? If so, it is a new breaker matrial called SafetyPro. Designed from Nylon textile but unlike the standard Safety System layer in the CONTACT tyres, this one is cross-woven, so more like a textile fibre netting that is simultaneously more robust and flexible. It negates the need for adding extra rubber which is heavy. Maximum puncture protection with minimal added weight. SafetyPro sits above the lightweight SafetySystem (level 4) and rubber EXTRA puncture belt (level 5) in the Continental safety (puncture protection grading) table.

Hi there. CONTACT Travel belongs to the CONTACT tyre family which has a different puncture protection system and a different price point than the RIDE family. CONTACTs use a fabric protection called Safety System which saves weight and is lighter. The tread pattern of the CONTACT Travel is also designed for faster rolling on tarmac. The RIDE Tour tread pattern is designed for daily use on a variety of surfaces and provides a very long service life due to its deep tread layer. The CONTACT Travel is designed primarily for long distance adventure touring for road, but can also handle rough tracks when required due to the side lugs.

I removed an old pair of Conti Sprint off my disc wheels. I applied two new coats of glue on the rim and tire. (there was hardly any glue on the rim and tire so I didn't clean the old off). I let the glue set for 24hr between each application. My question is this: should the glue have been tacky on both the rim and the tire upon marrying them? This is the first time I've had an issue where they were not tacky. Also, the Conti Sprints had been mounted before, so they were stretched but were still a MF hell to put on!!!!! OMG

As much as I loved the GP4000s tires in the past we have to get honest here: Continental has been *cutting corners* to achieve their tubeless tires! The sidewalls aren't reinforced and their bead isn't hookless compatible. Essentially you're getting a normal tire that works with sealant. Many people on the forums and on Reddit have issues with these tires: damage on the fragile sidewalls runs them inoperable! So *not* a proper tubeless tire!

When I pressed down on the tire with my thumb I could hear air seeping out from around the bead. I threw a CO2 cartridge in which got me to work. On my 15 mile return trip it felt okay when I got home but i wanted to see what kind of pressure I had so I hooked up my bicycle pump to the tire and had roughly 100 psi.
