Is it better to assemble the hitch on the tractor or put it together and then slip it on? My tractor is out of state, but the hitch just showed up in a box today.

Thanks, I could not tell if the holes were threaded or a nut behind that would be difficult to hold. I lowered mine just 1" and will check bed clearances.

It might be a good idea to switch out the 2 rear manifold bolts on both sides, they will eventually break off. If you do a DPF delete then don't worry about the bolts.

Also, check for broken exhast manifold bolts. Many of these have the rear two bolts on both sides broken off. If they aren't replaced the truck will develop a loud squealing noise. Expensive problem to solve. That was the case with a truck I bought, it was quiet for the 1st 100 miles but then the squealing kicked in. The truck is unsellable until this is fixed.

everyone who has welded has had a first time this is the kind of stuff you can practice on and it doesn't matter that much if it works great if it breaks do it again. part of the problem is it is a flux core welder.

Best tip to buy a used 6.4 powerstroke DON’T😂

If you install these make sure to loosen all 4 rocker plate bolts and tighten them evenly! The shims also center the rocker plate!

Fummins swaps are not simple or cheap

Those brackets that you couldn’t get to line up you need to swap. The bent part in should stick out

Why doesn't Harley Davidson do these things at the factory! God knows we pay enough for their bikes! My 44k 2018 CVO is known for the oil scavenging problems. Again, why? I am planning on an aftermarket oil pump and cam plate replacement this year.

Replace the engine oil filter and cut open the old one.

Pull a car fax, do a 1 hour road test, get the véhicule at the car wash, check tire pressure before road test, get a complete scan test also remember that most HD pick up trucks are used to pull trailers commercially so the mileage is very likely rolled back. Stay away from deleted trucks.

PS on fuel economy just with the DPF and EGR deletes plus getting rid of the stock Cold air filter that just chokes the air to these engines. Get a nice K&R or S&B Cold Air kit will give you noticeable preformce improvements With the deletes and new cold air filter change I improved the MPG by 1/3 that was like better than 5 MPG better and over all performances was like day and night. Also keeep your tunes down I run my tune at stock which is like 30 to 40% mor HP but a I tow a 30ft 5th wheel so I will tap it to tow haul. I know people that will take their tunes to street, but thats just to show off I cant aford to show off. And kicking the tune up to performances mode is just asking for trouble. And trouble on these things is just way😅😅❤

Just like to say the piston rings in 7&8 are fitted a little loose as well to accommodate the high heat for expansion this is a nother reason that the 6.4 powerstrock has excessive blowby that goes directly through your turbocharger. You you know those highly machined instruments that spin at what 60K or so think of how balance is crucial in there performance and longevity. I have installed a catch can system with baffling, must use 1"tube no kinks I vent to atmosphere with a filtered breather like the veh of 50's and 60's there doesn't seem to be any oil drippings but I can fill up a wisky shot glass of drippings every 5K Serviceing these servings are a must if you want to assure any kind of long life. The next week spot is the rocker arm assembly it just breaks down the plastic parts and wears out the moving parts as there doesn't seem to be enough oil getting in there. But I would have thought someone would have come up with a better after market rocker arm assembly by now. Bill Hewitt rest his sole swore by Arch Oil additives for fuel and oil. But I love my 6.4 Powerstroke. This video has been around for sometime now. Now is Dec.23/2023. My truck has 140K miles on her runs like a fraight train. Stay safe out there.
