They are not quite the same: LSR32 uses a different tweeter (053Ti in LSR32, 053TiS in LSR6332) LSR6332's crossover has slightly different high section. 6332 front baffle is dark plastic instead of the LSR32's carbon fiber. The carbon fiber shell didn't do anything for performance and was a PITA. The midrange and woofer, along with their respective crossover parts are the same as the 32. The 32 had some treble sizzle, they fixed it making the 6332 slightly better than the LSR32. Compare it's $380 midrange driver to the $75 unit in the L100 Classic.

It really sounded lovely on the drums, interesting how there wasn't a huge difference on voice, not as much as I was expecting.. really want one of these too, but where I'm living they go for around 8.5-9K AUD so probably better things to spend that on!

Hi. Just a follow up comment here, as I have now got one of these. Can I ask, is your 160 also this bloody loud when you playback/rewind? Mine works well/there are no audio issues, but when it's running it's just so loud. The motor is really loud both when playing and rewinding and it sounds like a washing machine or drill or something. Just incredibly fucking loud, and I'm pretty sure it should be this loud when it works. I looked online for some help but nobody seems to have this specific problem, with most people's problems regarding these being things like audio hiss/issues or a mix of the motor affecting the audio. However my audio works fine and plays fine and records, but it's just incredibly loud when it does (the physical sound of the motor running (either to play, record or rewind) is incredibly loud) and I have no idea of this is normal or not, but judging how your audio output from the 160 in this video isn't blasting too loud from the speakers, yet it's not being absolutely drowned out by the drone of the motor that sounds like a drill or washing machine or hoover or something, I am inclined to think that the motor running should only make a slight noise and not a loud whirring sound.

Sounds so amazing with that tape sound. The guitars and drums especially. I really want to get one of these for my solo act. The vocal on the track isn't as bad as you make it out to be. It's not perfect, but I presume it's a demo tape, so... Yeah, you want to move the vocal down in the mix a bit and also compress it. Compression helps vocals sit in the mix, and clearly, the tape compression isn't doing it, so you need a hardware compressor. Also, better lyrics. Thanks for sharing this.

Warm Audio WA12 MKI was based upon Melcor. Individual units vary tho, I have a couple, and one is wooly with massive low end and another is crisp and bright.

I need a kick so bad. Just got gifted a little ddrum kit. I have been playing guitar a few years to get my fill in music but now i am dying to play. The pedal that came with my kit is not responsive at all. Been looking locally for pedals not many here. Need to sell some gear to make room for kick pedal. Then cymbals. So stoked. Its been years since i played but used a speedking at least 20 years. Awesome video man. Great taste in kicks.

It took a bit of digging but i found you!! The original style is really the only way to play the song. Extra cymbals or fancy fills just makes the song Muddy. Crisp n clean good job Mr Williams. Now I gotta go find out why your not in the band anymore. LSD ? (Lead Singer Disease) thats my guess.

Holy moly! Finding a Steenbeck in a dumpster would be something that would find it’s way into my dreams! I spent my childhood and high school years wishing I could have a career in film editing. But, with no money for film school, I ended up with a career in television station engineering. Now that I’m retired I am diving deep back into 16mm filmmaking. I have everything I need.. except for a Steenbeck! And yes, I edit my film with old school splicing blocks and tape.
