    It angers me no end when watching these videos, seriously , mothers mag and aluminium polish and 30 seconds and your light will look new. Why go through this mess and work, possibly damaging your headlight when a simple polish will clear all the gunk off your headlight with a little rubbing in and wiping off.

  • @CL4SSiCS

    I think its mainly caused by someone not using the polisher flat, for example with a rotary with a massive pad people tend tocuse the edge to get into the lined and grooves, causing an uneven finish with a pad that is not suitable

    • @vortexdetailing
      @vortexdetailing 16 дней назад

      That's partially true. A lot of it has to do with contamination on the surface before polishing, then too heavy of an abrasive whether it's the polish itself or the pad being used, or a combination of the 2. Keeping the pad flat while finishing with a rotary is absolutely essential for a perfect finish, as you see in the second half of the video. That was a 1 step rotary only correction.

      @Jbmc65 yeah that's a decent 2 year coating but it's a 2 layer application unfortunately to get the full results. I use the flex rotary. I'll link it in the description now. Amazon doesn't carry it so I linked the Milwaukee which is basically the same tool.

      Thank you! It really will depend on where you're located and who you can find to do it. Also it will depend on what all you want done to the car. Just paint? Glass and wheels? Paint enhancement? Interior? Lots of factors come in to play when it comes to giving an estimate. Hope this helps 👍🌪️

    • @vortexdetailing
      @vortexdetailing 5 месяцев назад

      @@victorquintana5870 Yeah you'd most likely be looking at somewhere bewteen $1500 and $3k depending on location who you can find to do it and what products and value they have to bring to the table. Professional grade products that get registered to your carafax and potentially come with a warranty are going to cost more than retail grade products that anyone can just order themselves. I can tell you for sure that if you wanted to do everything I did to this car to your own vehicle youd be looking at an investment of 5 or $600 for products and material and then probably 15 to 30 hours of your time depending on what color and size the vehcile is and how thorough you want to be about it.

      Good question. I failed to mention in the video that was part of my testing, to see what I could get away with. I found its all circumstantial, had this been a black or dark colored vehicle I would not have gotten away with it. Being that the car was white and it was fairly cool to the touch based on outside temperature and that I had just washed it applying this product in direct sunlight for this instance was no issue at all.

      Nexgen is actually an immediate flash product. You only need 2 or 3 sprays per pannel, rub in with 1 towel, buff off with another. If you don't get this product off immediately you will see high spots! especially if applying in direct sun light. Cure time for at least 12 hours + is great.

    My bottle fell off my two step stool and from just height of about 2.5', that broke the trigger, which now leaks! So now I have to shake the bottle towards the vehicle as if I'm blessing it. Annoying because its no longer the even spray but at least the product seems to be working.
