I’m wondering why Gog and Magog is mentioned after the millennium, when Esther & Haman were before? I'm not sure that the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD has anything to do with it. The timing doesn't seem to work. The text seems to say that fire reigns down on them in the midst of their war on the holy people (whether it means the Jews or the Christians, I'm not sure). I have an honest question for FULL preterists: We live in a world today, where there are a billion Muslims who worship Allah, a billion Hindus who worship any number of the three hundred million Hindu gods, a billion Buddhists who for the most part don't worship any god, a billion atheists, LGBTQ, alcohol, drugs, human trafficking, child pornography, rape and murder. Is the this the eternal state of the earth? Does the sin and crime and death that we see in this world, today, does it go on forever? Or does it end someday?

All Biblical prophecies had their origin during the time of the old covenant, and they were fulfilled during the duration of the old covenant period. Extending beyond into the new covenant would (by definition) make our God a covenant breaker. A principal most never consider.

My take however is this (til further study): 1st beast out the sea (gentiles): 7 heads = 7 Caesars, represented by the 7 hills of Rome. Julius to Nero (5 fallen, one is). The other that is not yet come but continues a short space = Vespasian. Because Galba, Otho & Vitellius were the 3 kings subdued and the 3 horns that fell in Daniel 7. Vespasian came resurrected the empire and then returned to Rome in that very same year that the other 3 fell (69 AD) which means it was Vespasian that was the 7th. And continued a short suave before returning to Rome and instructing Titus, who became the 8th and is of the 7, to destroy Jerusalem. The 10 horns are simply the 7 plus the 3 that fell. Daniel 7 confirms this. The little horn is Titus. That came after the 10. The little horn is the 8th head. 7 heads (8) & 10 horns (plus little horn) = Roman Empire. Interesting to note that in Acts 5, the disciples were persecuted in the part of the temple called Solomon’s colonnade. It was that king who brought idol worship into the city through his 1000concubines. In chapter 21 of ‘Wars of the Jews,’ 6000 Jews were hiding and burnt to death in Solomon’s colonnade when the temple was set alight. According to Josephus, a false prophet had told them to wait there for ‘signs of their deliverance.’ Together with 1000 worshippers, this could account for the number who perished when a tenth of the city collapsed.
