Welcome to my channel. My name is Craig and thanks for stopping by. I will be covering many topics that interest me in every country that I visit from the Philippines, Malaysia, Oman to the UK and other places. I appreciate you taking the time to check out my channel. I hope I don't disappoint.
Super Typhoon Pepito | Is This the Worst Yet for the Philippines?
Super Typhoon Pepito is coming, and could this be the worst yet for the Philippines? The Philippines archipelago is well used to typhoons with 20 plus making landfall each year. The Philippines lies in what's known as the "ring of fire" which is prone to earthquakes, destructive typhoons and volcanic eruptions. The knock-on effect from these can result in loss of life, flooding, major destruction and families losing their homes. Typhoon Pepito is heading our way in Albay province and with it will come loss of electric, water supply and power outages. That's just some of the things that the Philippines suffers from.
Everyone wants to know where bagyong pepito will landfall and so far, it is...

The Dreaded Interview: Getting my Marriage Visa for the Philippines
Просмотров 21714 часов назад
Today I attended the dreaded interview, the final piece to getting my marriage visa (spouse visa) for the Philippines. My wife and I both attended and were interviewed at the same time by the same immigration officer. The questions were easy enough and at no time did I feel under any pressure. In fact, the interview was very enjoyable, and the questions were fair and to the point. However, duri...

The Fusiliers are on our Roof in the Philippines 🇵🇭
Просмотров 49814 дней назад
It's not every day the Fusiliers are on your roof, but in the beautiful and vibrant Philippines, that's exactly what happened to us. My wife decided to take a trip to the local market, which is always a lively experience filled with colorful stalls and fresh produce, and she returned home with two dalagang bukid fresh fish that we planned to grill for our barbecue in the evening, which we were ...
Would You Sleep in a Cemetery?
Просмотров 21814 дней назад
It sounds extreme, but would you sleep in a cemetery on All Saints day in the Philippines? Before the recent pandemic, that's exactly what a lot of filipinos did. The reason they would do this on All Saints day, is to feel closer to their departed loved ones and let them know they have not forgotten them. It's definitely one of the strange things that happens or previously happened in the Phili...
1 Month RETIRED in the PHILIPPINES | My Story So Far
Просмотров 67114 дней назад
After 1 month retired in the Philippines, I decided to make this video to give my verdict. What is it like living in the province and what are the pros and cons? We recently were hit by Typhoon Kristine and we felt the aftereffects of that here in the province of Albay, in Bicol region. So, is it a good idea to retire in the Philippines? Well, I recently met an American in the Immigration Offic...
How I Extended My Tourist Visa in the Philippines (Without Leaving)
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.21 день назад
In this video, discover how I extended my tourist visa in the Philippines without leaving the country. It's straightforward to be honest, but if you don't extend it you can be fined 500php for every month and also a 2,500php extension fee so it's worth extending it when required. It only took around 10 to 15 minutes to complete the form and submit the cash payment.
The Most INSANE Christmas Celebration on Earth 🇵🇭
Просмотров 14121 день назад
The Philippines has the most insane Christmas Celebration on Earth, because they put the decorations and tree up in September! Even when lived overseas, my Filipina wife still wanted us to put the Christmas decorations up really early. But why does the Philippines celebrate Christmas in September? The most logical answer is probably because they have to prepare a lot since it is a massive celeb...
Why This Solar Panel System FAILED in the PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭

The Philippines' Crisis of No Running Water
Просмотров 78628 дней назад
We managed to go four days with NO RUNNING WATER IN THE PHILIPPINES. The water tank on the roof, which holds 800 litres, even ran dry. We ended up using the Drums on day 4 but thankfully the water finally came back on. So, what is the cause of water interruption in the Philippines? Generally, it's bad governance and the rapid population growth also affects water supply. This is pretty normal in...
Don't Build a Swimming Pool in The Philippines (Do This Instead!)
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.28 дней назад
Don't build a swimming pool in the Philippines unless you are planning to use it regularly. All over the Philippines there are local resorts offering pool access for less than the price of a coffee. Plus, you can take your own food there and most of them have little booths where you can leave all your valuables. They even have tables and chairs and have roofs over them. So, how much to build a ...
Crazy Car Service Costs in the Philippines 🇵🇭

I took my recently purchased Hyundai car to a brand-new garage and was quoted a crazy car service cost here in the Philippines. The customer service was superb, and everything was clear and concise when it came to the price. This garage is located on Binitayan Road in Daraga, Albay and has only recently opened. They have modern hydraulic lifting equipment and excellent prices.

During my morning walk, I stopped and tried this Filipni Street Food but it wasn't beef, as I was told in the eatery! I ordered Pancit Bato which is similar to Pancit Canot but the Bicolano version and it was really tasty. My wife watched the video when I returned home and she told me what it was. It certainly wasn;t what I expected but for 20 pesos only, I would definitely go back to Flora's E...
Why Filipinos Are Too Polite (And It's A Problem)

Being too polite can sometimes lead to issues, especially in business settings where direct communication is often necessary for clarity and efficiency. It's all about fin...

Is It OKAY If My FILIPINA Girlfriend Asks for Money?
You can't do that, refuse drinks in the Philippines?😂 Nah just kidding. If you're a people pleaser you will never refuse, but if you are straight up with the people, tell them you can't drink they'll respect that. But you have to find ways to somehow enjoy a gathering. Party poppers are frowned upon in these parts of the world.
😆 Well, I've been retired here for the last 6 weeks and so far I've avoided these parties 😁. I'm trying to be good 👍
Stay safe,
Pin your ears back and be safe 💪
I thoroughly enjoyed your video Craig but have to say I wouldn't appreciate being where u are during a typhoon. Enjoy your breakfast. Give my love to Jhing and wee Kian and keep safe all of you xx
I like that you have start to speak Tagalog and Bicol south.
Yes I'm learning 😆
Our houses are open to anyone who needs shelter so we will have allot of guests. The whole village helps to storm-proof the houses. Plenty of work now.
You sound like a good man Kjell. Well done 👏 stay safe
i had the family in Bicol place iron sheets on the windows I'm thinking its heading to naga hopefully it does not course to much damage the winds are 240kph 150mph its cat 4 to 5 its a bad one .our place is near bacacay i built it to resist these winds concrete roof my big concern is my amateur radio antenna i can probably kiss that goodbye .
Yeah the antenna could be a problem. Hope we don't get it too bad.

I wont retire in the pines i go their for 3 months 6 months return ticket no visa as I'm married to a Philippine wife, owns a place not far from you guys we come and go together , I love it on my 5 acre property in Australia and just travel there its only 7 hour flight . I got married in manila , from what your saying it would be easy for me , but don't see any reason to do it ,everyone's situation is different.
Yes Alan. It suits me to stay here. I don't have a house in UK any more, plus it's a long journey to go there from here. Like you said, we are all different.
I have heard that if you move abroad you lose triple lock increase in state pension
You may be right
I understand you get 30days when you arrive,in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and you obviously have your ticket for your flight home,if you want to extend your visa, how do you get round having a ticket, for your return to the UK ❤❤
I don't have a return ticket. I arrived on a one-way ticket but apparently you're supposed to have a return. It was never my intention to leave here so when I finished work in the middle east I got my company to book a one-way here. But yes, if you arrive here on 30 day tourist visa you can extend and change your flight return ticket, if it is changeable.
@ChasingTheSun1967 I have been a few times but never longer than the 30 days,I want to stay for at least 3 months when I come in the new year, will I need my return ticket to the UK 🇬🇧 when I arrive in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and how easy is it to get visa extension?I'm coming to be with my amazing filipina fiance
@erichawley378 yes you have the option to extend your stay here but make sure your return flight is changeable obviously.
Is it easy to get the visa extension there?
Is it easy to get my visa extension there?
Hi! Just a question, did you copy all the passport pages, even the blanks?
Yes, even the blank pages.
That's very cool thanks. I went to the volcano in Tagaytay and was thankful I did.
Thank you for sharing your tip.👍👍👍👍👍, interesting looking one day I hope to get there. I am in the USA now maybe after the first of the year I will be there I have a home in Tiwi Take care stay safe🙏 an healthy 💪
Thanks Bruce. Oh Tiwi, not far from us. All the best, Craig.
Cool video, very helpful.
Good video Craig but was making me hungry. I hope u enjoyed your healthy meal. Well done Jhing ❤
Lovely grub 🍽
Glad to see you enjoying yourself
I am staying in philipines for 35 days, should i apply for visa before i arrive, or can i apply for an extension without having a visa on arrival?
It depends on your country of origin but the tourist visa for a foreigner is usually 30 days which can be extended when you are here.
@@ChasingTheSun1967 thank you Im from USA, my ticket shows Im staying over 30 days, I'm just concerned if immigration will still let me in if I tell them I plan to extend. I think most people are staying under 30 days, are let in, then they go apply for extension.
Ah okay buddy. As far I'm aware you have to apply for an extension and hand over your passport when you get here. I'm not aware of any procedure online that can facilitate this before arrival. Regarding your return flight 35 days later, I don't see this being an issue when you arrive. Let me know how it goes.
@@ChasingTheSun1967 I've read on reddit someone did it successfully by getting a $16 onward ticket to show they're leaving within 30 days, then after being let in, a few days later apply online for a 29 day extension. I think I'll try that method.
@grimace6311 Okay. I came here on a one-way ticket and had no issues getting in.
2k dollar per month you have a comfortable life. in your country a beggar with that amount.
hey handsome grandpa best place if you have monthly pension. locals are the friendliest and most hospitable. your country no longer nice to live. muslims and illegal immigrants already destroyed the culture. in the future i will live in cebu and marry a local virgin. enjoy life you have only one.
And another useless blogger from living in the Philippines!
Your not in a massive age gap relationships. I think it depends on the couple works for some but not everyone.
Yup, we don't have an issue.

Have you thought of turning the camera around..would be far more interesting
This video was more about a 1 month report than sightseeing. There's not much to see on that road. I'm guessing there's a touch of sarcasm in your comment. That's good, I like that 👌 I try to vary my videos and you'll find other ones where the camera gets rotated.
Loved this video Craig.
Interesting Ctaig Glad ure enjoying retirement.
thank you 🙏
From Cebu City, it’s hit and miss. They are cracking down on expats staying here for life on tourist visas. They can deny you after one month. The ole excuse I’m just here on vacation for leisure and to explore can get you deported first interview.
Yes I heard they are cracking down but maybe the fact I'm married and I am in the process of applying for a marriage visa makes it easier.
Question where is that office you went to to extend your visa
It's in Legazpi port, 3rd Floor at Embarcadero
Wow things have changed or rather developed since I applied for my 13a visa 12 years ago..during that period there was no online services as such so one had to produce tons of documents with respective copies, you almost needed a carry on bag to store all the documents needed. Another thing, I did not have to leave my passport at the BI for whatever reason, I always had it with me home after finishing my business with the BI Another thing, when my probationary visa was about to expire, I went back there one week prior, you get processed quicker..ok I applied in Manila which was chaotic with so many foreigners, maybe it is better to apply at a "satellite office" in this case Legaspi but also there can be a "spanner in the works" when the internet services which is not all that great fail and that will ruin anyone's day. As for me I no longer have a 13a visa I cancelled it a year ago as a result of failed marriage...I'm happy with tourist visa, have no desire to live in Ph long term, a few months a year is ok for me, good luck with your visa application, I think all in all from start to finish I paid about 60k until I had my id card in hand, if it's cheaper now then good for you.
In Baao there was 1.5 meters of water at the railway crossing. In Nabua, the water was 2 meters above the road. In Naga City, the water stood 1.5 meters in the daughter's student residence. There were hundreds of trucks on the main road outside us because the road between Bato and Polangui was also flooded. We have had 5 families evacuated to our other house because the water was up to the roof of their house along the lake in Bato. In the middle of all this, our generator broke down so we had no power for five days. In November 2019 we had 3 typhoons in two weeks. The entire infrastructure was destroyed for more than a month. Have a good day.
Five days, ouch! We got off really easy here then.

No peso's for refugees that's why they go to the uk Philippines have their own problem's .uk is like Australia 67 to get a pension and in Australia its asset tested pinoys get a small amount when there 60 . my flight time is 7.5 hours 1 hour to daraga airport 20minuts to bacacay, its better than the bus ride from manila to Bicol 13 hours i come and go few times a year ,get bored after 5 weeks.
Oh yeah I'm well aware of why everyone wants to go to the UK. It's bursting at the seams and unrecognisable now. Immigrants are now being housed in hotels and the pensioners are paying for them. You couldn't make it up.
@@ChasingTheSun1967 I recently went back to UK and am having extra taxes to pay again, pee's me off a lot. Capital Gains Tax has just risen again in he budget a couple of days ago, so I am withdrawing my investments and doing Spread Betting again as that is classed as gambling and attracts no tax, Anything not to help feed the visitors lol
@Ted-f4o077, it's all gone to rat sh1t
All of the visas in the philippines.. Have gotten easier after the Pandemic.. This is a great update.. For someone doing it today..
Yes Jim. It was very easy, just a small form to complete.
