@@sanmateo-bt7ww everlast gloves are not the greatest, but if you're using them for in-house and hitting a bag in the house and you're not at a boxing gym, I would recommend like RDX Hayabusa a good quality, strong leather boxing glove, but if you're just playing around, don't waste your money

@@AproposOfWetSnow When I competed in powerlifting we did a lot of chains and band work. It's great for lesser tension at the bottom and as you come up more tension or more chain links the more weight is added. It's a great tool not to be used all the time but it's a great tool

What back brace are you wearing? I can’t find one that works
@@randalgordon8822 I'll be quite honest with you. As I said, I'm always honest about what I do. This is actually a waist trainer. Yep, a velcro waist trainer that I found on Amazon that was dirt cheap and I saw that it had straps on each side for additional tiding tightening I should say and I just picked it up. I don't know the name to be honest. I just left it up on Amazon and I saw something that was similar to what I used to use when I was doing and strong man and I would put that underneath my belt. It's actually very comfortable and I actually like it better than a belt because once you pull those straps in to make it tighter. Wow! It actually feels very good. I'm sorry that I don't know the name

@@kevinblanchette1971your crazy doing the you've little to gain and lots to lose.
@@williamlawlor7445 yup I'm crazy been told that all my life .
Zerchers are nasty! I use padded elbow sleeves. The hardest part I find is trying to breathe when I hit 175 + for sets over 5 reps. I usually do 6-8 rep sets with 175-225 I do a complete restart every year or two to keep it fresh and check the ego! Nice job. Stay strong, Ken! Let's Go!
Because of past shoulder injuries and now severe arthritis in left shoulder, my range of motion just isn't there anymore, so I now only use a safety squat bar.
@@Truckster1 I agree about the breathing once I hit 200 it hits me pretty good
The one thing about calves is the stretch is the most growth promoting portion of the rep and getting that big stretch is important for hypertrophy. The concern for a torn tendon would be to use less weight compared to a max effort like you said. Also putting your tendons and muscles through the higher range of motion allows for decreased injury probability. Love the videos keep up the great work!💪

Hope you are feeling on better form soon Kevin! I definitely think you can feel 'anabolic' naturally all be it to an obviously lesser extent than the drug assisted rush that you say you miss. Like you say, you just know when you are growing - priming - however you want to term any of this. When it's switched on you can just feel it. For me I always know when I do shorter intense workouts 2-3 times week, get a momentum, my appetite is always up a little bit and I look forward to training. It is no coincidence that the gains come when you are in that mode. We all have hi's and lows. I I Hope you are feeling that the on the up soon brother!
