It's taken me a moment of curiosity to finally realise what Travis' tattoo means. I translated the runes in my head expecting an english word, and got confused when it came out as Werdr. Looked it up, and that means Revered in Old Norse. I know the runes, but not the language, so I'm glad that I got that moment of curiosity to finally check!

I watch more D20 than CR but from what I’ve seen, it seems like Sam is the hardest to make cry. Crazy to see him get so caught up here.

I wonder narratively and personally if any of these players would choose to abandon their party at the end of a short campaign. None of these characters are designed to stay together for adventures after, this is their only story. Would the players ever make a choice in that context to go against the party and mess with morale? I certainly don’t think Sam would’ve been able to make any other choice than he did.

Travis misremembered that Cleareye was Rain his wife, it wasn’t the code name for his kids

It’s very telling about Travis as a person how described one of the major inspirations for Cerrit was Jor-El, Superman’s Father, and his idea was “ok old man, you got your kids out of the end of the world, now save yourself so you can be with them”

Especially now that I know how the Sigils work. Targeting, bifurcated… not sure on the others but I’ll figure it out. Aiming for 1,001 Damage. (For a clean 1,000-2,000 Foils per use from a balanced scale.)

A good Dm doesn’t want their players to lose. They want their players to succeed and continue the story they’ve crafted so it reaches a satisfying ending. But if the player just so happens to fail in those opportune moments of destiny, it’s up to the DM to craft a satisfying way for that to impact the story. That is where Brennan excels as a DM. He will weave the story’s winding paths whether the players roll good or bad. And damn does he know how to make a good and satisfying story.
