Well a polybush kit could have been a choice . I would advise never using dish soap (especially fairy) as there are a number of unsuitable ingredients including a lot of salt ! Silicon spray is much friendlier . Every credit to you for saving a perfectly useable run about from the breakers and a useful vid for anyone tackling this job on a budget . I done lots of these subframe bushes they are not easy and bit oh my god what have i done moment but it a sense of achievement after its done and also clutches on these minis as I repair these as my side line I have just brought a 57 plate mini r52 convertible after selling my 03 mini cooper auto the same day 😂 I love the feeling once they are done and someone has driven off in your repaired mini

as soon as i saw you using wd40 as penetrant it was time to switch off, use plusgas or similar as you are wasting your time with the water displacer

I did this job last year on my mini. If anyone else is doing this check your subframe while your at it. Mine had a big rot hole in one of the uprights. The drain hole was blocked causing the rot. They are great cars to work on.

Good practice to disconnect he battery before you start next time, any banging and clanging around the struts, lower arms, rod ends etc could set off your air bags!

as someone else stated you dont have to completely remove the subframe, just drop the back end down, did mine last year, none the less great video

Regarding the wheel Alinement of your Mini..! The Wheels are supposed to be positioned slightly Toeing Out because as the car is driven...! The Wheels get pushed inwards, more so on fount wheel drive because the off the driving torque of the drive shafts...! Best leave it, as is...! 🤔🤔😇😇👍👍

Is possible to change arms without dropping subfame completely. Drop subframe a few inches enough to remove the long bolts .

I brought an arbath competizione 4 weeks ago..... tomorrow its goin back, its by far the worst car ive ever had, it handles like a foot, its dangerous and its flakey, i paid 13k cash for it and although its a mint example for its 7 years its the most uncomfortable risky drive ive ever had, so tomorrow the dealer takes it back and replaces it with a VW GTI and i cant bloody wait lol sadly it cost me to do as i had narrowly missed the 30 day cut off for returns by only 4 days so ive got to pay to exchange it but to be honest id have traded a kidney to to have swaped it, think very carefully before you waste your money on these cars and if you've got kids dont take them in it cos the handling is tottally unpredictable, i know not everyone will agree with me and thats cool but i just wanted to genltly make any buyers aware of it before wasting their money xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The extras add up, if you're doing it to tinker around then that's cool but just don't overspend. I would keep it original personally, and let the new owner spend the money. Cheap electrics never ends well

Possibly taking too much out of your profit margin with aftermarket accessories, especially if they prove to be unreliable/screw up vehicle electrics.

Seems a safe bet. Some can get a bit rusty underneath, Should sell well. Even if you only do oil/filter it's worth checking brake pads, wiper blades, lights, fluid levels, air filter condition, etc. Did you leave George at the scrapyard?

ECP's prices are all over the place, partly so that they can then reduce them on certain items and offer silly amounts of discount. Independent motor factors usually much better.

What you're buying is technically a short engine - no head or ancillaries but block with pistons and crank, etc, in it. Might be worth getting/making some wheel chocks for safety as well. You may need a wire cable or chain assembly to connect the crane hook to the engine. Not sure if you might need a new oil pump. Family comes first - can't quite understand why your viewing figures remain so unfairly low,
