Hanshi Tino Ceberano is widely acknowledged as the father of Australian karate having been one of the first to introduce Goju-Kai karate-do to this country in the 1960's . For the last 50 years he has taught the art and founded the IGK (International Goju Karate-Do) after the passing of Gogen Yamaguchi in 1989. In 1970 Tino Ceberano Sensei visited his grandmaster Gogen Yamaguchi Hanshi in Japan, training for several months at the Goju Kai karate hombu dojo. Would be great to see kata tensho to supplement too Hanshi oos.
I spotted Helmet Moulders attempting 4th dan. I remember him as being a very decent chap and, even though we were not Goju Kai karate-ka ourselves, he always supported us at the world championship in Sydney by being with the team & adding his encouragement. I was greatly saddened at the news of his passing.
I trained under Helmut many years ago, he was a great sensei. You can definitely tell who his old students from other students.
I've read that one of the guest stars of this program was Bridget Neval. Do you have the episode(s) where she was in?

It is probably not going to work that well..
I have been a fan of "The Cat" since the early 1970's when Jay Gluck published his book, Zen Combat. I tried to connect with Gosai Yamaguchi a few years ago on Cottlingsworth Street in SanFrancisco, but he was already gone. "The Cat" could fly through the air and kick five people in the head before "landing." The point is that these are our heroes of the martial arts who made something that no one had seen before. Jeet Kune Do means a lot to me, and, so does Kyokushinkai Kan, Kodokan Judo, and the Shaolin Temple, not to mention, Okinawa Te, "China Hand," or "Empty Hand, " or anything else you want to call it.
