What’s the likelihood of the crankcase blow by being ingested with the vent so close to the air filter especially with the bonnet closed, or is the more clearance in reality? Or is there not enough to matter in reality anyway?

Look for TT-02 D kits, comes with bearings and oil shocks, and a few other bits you'd buy anyway. Costs a little more but cheaper than buying the parts separately. I have one TT-02 and 2 TT-02D's, I'll never buy a standard kit again I reckon. The good thing, the chassis is cheap enough to replace should you want to, maybe a few rivets too if it doesn't hold up, the plate looks good mate, not crap at all. I got a Hobby wing combo for about the cost of the ESC you got, a 10BL120 G2 ESC and 3250kv motor, they do other combos with motors that might suit your needs better? Does that ESC have a jumper to swap for the reverse function? You might want a programme card, they're usually around $20 -$30 (see link), you can usually programme using the ESC itself but it looks a pain. Good to hear a Kiwi accent on a channel, I'm in Lower Hutt and the only issue is there are no stores around my way. I put a 5.5t in my TT-02, with the plan to do some top speed runs.. managed to crash it just in testing, i can't go more than 1/4 throttle without it spinning all 4 weeks and trying to destroy itself!! So much fun!

Proper oil filled shock absorbers make a huge difference. You're still going to struggle making it handle with that much power! Nice work! Really enjoyed the video, you could have bought an off the shelf 4wd mini sized chassis (like a Tamiya XM01 or similar) but this was way more fun! Also glue the tyres 😂😂

Gens ace make a smaller 2000 or 2200mah battery which will solve your battery size issue. I used them in my micro 1/14 RC cars. (Edit) Lol. Watch to the end 😅😅

Did the roll racing at chrome a few years back- didnt realize they're lining people up/limiting their runs now. It was a free for all back then and everyone just lined up against whoever was keen. Silly shit, as it should be kept exciting for the fans if theyre going to "organize" it
