Have you switched it to a electric pump yet ? I have a 1hp pump from harbor freight pumps like a champ and a fraction of the unground pumps
Three wood poles with a pulley at top, cable tool a shallow well in...sure it might take 2 days for a shallow well, but all that torch cutting, grinding, welding, using all thst metal pipe, assembly and disassembly to get the cuttings out... Budting up your pto u joints...more time and expense than if you had simply cable tooled it to 25-30 feet
I can hear that U joint on the PTO crying from here! I’ll be using your technique for some deep post holes
Damn right
5’ extensions steal pile 2” in diameter . Lot of in and out.
You know, of course, that UV and and sunlight will weaken and make the PVC pipe brittle after a few years. Expect the handles and top of the well pipe to crack or break at that time. Probably should have use the grey electric conduit pvc pipe which to formulated to resist sunlight damages. The white PVC is made for interior applications where the sunlight never contacts it. Not trying to ruin your presentation but someone needs to give you the bad news...sorry. Keep your fingers crossed and maybe it will last!! You might try to cover it up so the direct sunlight doesn't hit it all day long. That's what I'd do. Good luck.,
Might have to make each rod shorter. Glad someone is giving it a go.
Thanks COOP the WiSeNhEiMeR from Richmond, INDIANA ...
I think i can do thia alone😮
What is the height of the metal building? We’re you able to use the space above your living quarters for storage?
How did you attach your studs to the metal frame
I've been curious if this would work Interesting
Can you recommend a website that has already built Barndominums for sale?
Where did you get your extensions?
i cut up some 2-3/8 drill pipe and used short sections of 2-7/8 drill pipe as collars. you can buy the pipe by the stick (30') at Mccoys or you can do like i did and find a local vendor on facebook who delivers.
Thanks@@diyfi7087
Just curious how will these components inside the box go with low temps and condensation won't this affect them and fuse them out so they won't work? Curious to know please
So far so good. Have been through single digits (*F) and triple digits and both systems working well
What's closing costs exactly?
The costs to buy the house (appraisal, title fees, loan fees, inspection fees)
Do you have any information about DS NAS devices instead of the Reolink box? I tried the WiFi Reolink battery powered cameras only to find they would not connect to a NAS. It looks like your solution with 12VDC power and the 5G transmitter may be a solution for me. I am totally off grid in the Adirondacks, Just solar power, no cell phone or internet. I am using the Reolink cameras to recognize motion to only record when there is motion and send FTP transfer to the NAS storage device. I will be able to review the NAS files if something happened on my property while I wasn't there. This usage only records when the camera recognizes motion, not 24/7, allowing for months of recording instead of just a few weeks. Also trying to minimize power usage as the Adironacks is dense woods and minimal sun hitting the solar. I may have to drop to 3G or 4G wireless as 5G may not pass through the trees.
I have not tested a DS NAS, the UeeVii antennas are just a network connection device. As long as your poe cameras and your DVR/NAS are both on your network it should sync up as if the camera(s) were connected directly to the DVR/NAS
Lots of good info here. Thanks.
Lmao... 😂 hell yeah make it work!!! Keep it up guys
Always like to see your new projects? Very cool Iggy!
Do you remember how many 2x4 , say materials list?
By going 24” vs 16” on center you will use aprox 33% less studs.
What metal building company did you use? Thanks
How tall is the house
Great stuff. Can’t wait to see how it turns out
Awesome. Love the scrappiness and the ability to DIY everything. Do you have a background in construction?
I am trying to plan a future build. My question is what distance from the wall should you set your toilet drain? Do you add a little just incase the building is not spot on or shifts during building?
Any chance you could share the floor plan? I am looking to do the exact same build with my wife. We just purchase land and plan to move into a simple home on it and this exactly what are looking for.
I’ve got a metal house with metal roof supports every 12-13 feet. My main room is 36’ wide. Was going to attach wood from beams to hang down to attach ceiling beams. Thoughts on that?
Great work! You’re awesome man.. I do have one question tho, did you do the foundation part yourself? Does it really cost a lot to do the foundation
I have this same question.
Sage advice, man. Thanks for the video!
Where did you get your post frame shell from?
I'd love to know how you estimated the project!
Such a wealth of knowledge!
#sponsorship ;) you've used enough of their flooring! You do a great job oining everything up for some crazy lines. Stairs, off showers, rock fire places!
Amazing work. Thank you for sharing your video!
What are pros and cons of barndominium(beams) VS pole barn (wood)? Looks good 👍🏼
Structurally there is not comprimise between the two. The wood building allows for more usable space savings as the purlins are run on end vs flat on the metal building (this could be modified but generally the wall purlins are run flat on metal buildings) The wood building is also much easier to modify and to work in if you are doing things yourself. lastly is cost. The wood framed buildings are about 20% cheaper to consturct and the slab goes up after the building so you can do your plumbing rough in after the building is dried in allowing for a more flexible construction timeline.
Great Video Thank You! were looking for lot now in Lake County Florida this is pretty close to what were looking to build .
You are the single most productive being I have ever met.
HAHA Thanks buddy. I try to keep moving thats for sure.
Great video just what i need to show the wife
Awesome! Just posted a similar video with a bit more explanation!
Thank you much for the fast forward action. I'm glad this wasn't split into 20 episodes. I just need to know the basics, not how to build it myself. Good videos.
Thanks! Check out our latest post! Has a bit more detail than our previous videos
Eave height, hitch and wall? Ty
12’ building eve 9’ ceiling inside living space Just posted a similar video of our latest build
@@diyfi7087 I Really appreciate you replying to that question. I feel like others don’t go over those details and it’s important to know it to order it. I will watch Ty!
Shouldn’t the steel building window openings be framed before a wood framing is done?
generally yes. however the windows were on backorder so we worked with the building contractor to let us begin framing before the windows were in place. It is not the most ideal method but it allowed us to stay on schedule with this project
So is it 2000 sq foot or 1000?
Gotta love a cracked windshield. It’s a Texas road kiss lol I have a crack in the exact same spot 🤣
very informative!
I love the layout
What size is the building
40x50 25x40 is house 25x40 is shop space
What is the height of your studs??
9’ ceilings Studs are 104-5/8”
