Dear Tilly - Animation - Pig Sanctuary Short Documentary
Просмотров 1,6 тыс.2 года назад
"Dear Tilly" is a short documentary framed as a letter to Carrie and Ron Shogan's adopted daugher, a pig named Tilly. Despite living a tragically short life, Matilda inspired the two to open a sanctuary where 70 animals now reside and thrive. I am so grateful that I had the chance to work on this film, and with such amazing people. I hope this short film inspires you to love animals, and keep t...

Stories fascinates me a lot i love to write stories, visuals, sounds i want to create kind of animated stories what is quick and best way to create it?? can u help . i learned skills editing, visual art, illustrator sound effect and animation, principles of animation i practiced it but its to boring for me to animate in 3d. my stories are fading 😂🤣while animation in 3d i m thinking to switch in 2d animation because i created some 2d animatied stories earlier... can u help i m bit confused.. what to do.. purpose is that i want to showcase my art by animation.. i know i sound like psycho 😂😂 ...i loved your art crystal fish short film it inspired me a lot
@@shubhamrai2550 haha you’re funny! Thanks so much for your kind words! To be honest, it sounds like you have a lot of the skills needed to make your own animated projects! In general, I think making a complete 2D animation is a bit easier than 3D, but it depends on what’s more fun for you! Both takes a long time and a lot of effort, so you need to enjoy the process to be able to finish the project :) Best of luck!!

@@HomieVlogs thank you! I really appreciate it!

super great videoi love it i'm following you now
@@anthonycadette thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
So they do it by hand? Fuck, that's fucking awesome, I thought they put it on somehow...
@@venstre7511 you can definitely do this using simulations as well, but I went for the hand drawn route (which I believe many feature anime films still do!)
hi i love your animation how i contact you for information about animation to know

Hello your skills drawing results is beautiful like you
@@jeramegeralde6288 aww you are too sweet, thank you! 💕
Did you use motion path for changing characters direction or you use redirect ?
@@nikhilsolanki956 I did use the Editable Motion trail in maya, but mostly I just use the graph editor. But of course you should use motion paths or plug ins if you are more comfortable with that :D
thanks
Best
@@OtakuSquirrel1 💗💖
great video on your workflow! Curious on your camerawork. Was it constrained to a motion path or you animated the movement all by hand?
@@Shka_maru thank you so much! 💗 I didn’t constrain it to a motion path, but you definitely could do that, and get the same result! For this I key framed it by hand
@@wearedow OH wow haha. Didn't think I'd get a response so soon. Thank you! and nice, good to know your process. Looking forward to move of your work. I just start learning animation at an online animation school so seeing videos like this give me drive to accomplish my animation goals! If I may ask, 1) How are you today? :). 2) how did you learn animation? 3) What is it about animation that drew you in?
@@Shka_maru you’re too sweet! Oh nice! I hope you’re enjoying learning animation!! 😃 You’ll be amazing :) 1) I’m doing good! I hope you are too 2) I learned at Emily Carr University, and Griffin animation Academy 3) I love animated movies, and always have! (I loved all the old 2D disney movies and studio Ghibli movies) and in high school, when I found out that animation is a job, that is when I decided that I wanted to do it too! Haha and I never looked back! I really enjoy it 🥰

There should be a way to prevent the foot geometry from penetrating the ground sort of like Floor Contact...
there definitely might be a way to do that, none that I personally know of though 😅 to be honest I'm pretty lazy about learning tools, so I don't have the best workflows, and do everything manually 😬
I think there is a way too, but I'm not certain. It kind of pains me to say it, but Maya isn't perfect... Personally, I care a lot about Best Practices and so I'm always on the look out for better methods and I find it very important to understand as much as I can about why and what I'm doing, but learning takes time...@@wearedow

haha I'm glad you found this video too! Thank you so much!
@@wearedow no problem, I really love your content. Have you always been focused on 3d?
@@fabio_gioffre that means a lot to me, thank you! I focus on 3D for my job, but I love doing some 2D animation in my free time as well (although it's very slow, so I can't put much content out 😅 )
@@wearedow ahha still its nice to do some art for yourself every once and awhile. And oh thats cool, 3D looks so intimidating to me haha
very cool, i love this artstyle:) did you animate this in toonboom? or another software?
I know you found the process video as well, but in case anyone else is wondering, I used Photoshop and After Effects for this project ☺
@@wearedow haha thanks! and do you usually work this way or was this just specific to this kind of project?

Hey alisha can u please help me to find or recommend me which laptop i should buy for 2d frame animation ...(😅 not so costly btw)
@@rdxlegends6385 hmm I'm not so familiar with hardware, but I would suggest anything that has a pen tablet function (like ipad I think, or chromebook), or otherwise any laptop you can plug a tablet into. From my experience, 2D animation doesn't need such a powerful machine to make amazing animations. I hope this helps! 😅
@@wearedow okok.. I've found Samsung book 2 ... for my work .. would that be ok?? (Btw i disturb u a lot 😅)

There is an automatic way to transfer your compositing data from Harmony to AfterEffects. I will tell you if you are interested. 🙂
I really love that leg animation when it's leg contact with water , kind of jitter movement
Thank you!
Can you please make a video about how to make a character run in a zig zag kinda motion using motion trail....like in your shot....and the fall is accurate so how did you planned that out????
Thanks so much for being interested! I have a tutorial on how to make feet stick on the ground, starting with a simple run cycle (no plugins needed). That will help you get the zig zag! and for the fall, I used a lot of reference :D
