Typical excuse anywhere in the world for high public cases if police cannot find who did it, they at the end always "solve" crime by accusing parents, few lies, public happy, police happy, real criminal who actually did is happy. Done and dusted!

I think something far more sinister went on than Maddie just falling and killing herself by accident. If that was the case, the McCanns could have immediately called the police and said it happened while they were all together - there would have been no reason to doubt them and the poor girl's death would have officially been judged an accident. So why the whole cover- up, unless something else had happened that could not be disclosed, no matter what. Yet exactly that happened- lies, obstruction, cover- ups, right from the start to the end.

The facts mentioned in the comments below, and many more on top, have me convinced that the parents were involved in the disappearance of poor little Maddie one way or the other. A huge red flag was when the whole community went out looking for her on the first day and night - only the McCann's couldn't be bothered and stayed home. The next morning, instead of going out looking, they played tennis !!! Parents of a missing child only act like that if they know fully well that the child will not be found. The question is of course - how could they know unless something happened and they were not telling anybody just what had happened.

There is one missing person that always first jumps my mind, but she's never ever mentioned. Katrice Lee. She went missing from a NAAFI (Navy Army Air Force Institute) supermarket near Paderborn in Germany in 1981 when her mother and I believe her aunt took her shopping for some things for her second Birthday Party. She's never been found, the case still seems to be open.
