The ability score doesn't really matter in this game 🤔 the most useful would be Dex and Cha in this instance for the initial, then Str and Con after

@@jale8455 yeah there's certainly places where it might be more consistent. I don't know if you noticed in the vid but there was clear hits coming through that weren't registering for the fortified proc, so I think that's probably a much bigger concern 🤔 Even in those boss situations with mobs I'd probably favour the Flash Freeze personally but each to their own

@jale8455 yeah I think fortified might be, there were clearly hits that weren't registering, had a similar thing in the training room as well. Wondering if a hit lands inside the 1 sec cooldown it keeps refreshing it or something 🤔 So yeah stacks dropped off but it looks like they shouldn't have

@@joey-english5096 Cheers 😄 might be worth trying the Zariel test and seeing if it's working how you expect it to 🤔 Yeah aggro is a bit tricky with the extra Dps stats, need to time the hard taunts well. If you can fire off Earthshaker during an arti call with the manticore ring on you can build up some really nice threat as well

Combat balance is that just rating that needs to be close together or does it have to be overall % aswell

@joey-english5096 just the rating, it's pretty forgiving as well, you still get most of the benefit if you're a few thousand off

No worries 🙂 I was actually surprised myself at how inconsistent it was when I started testing properly. There's clear damage registered which isn't counting as a hit on the Fortified 🤔

funny I was testing it this weekend and it was rarely proc'in consistently for me. Flash freeze seems a bit better so I was using it.

@Trick_415 yeah, I mean there is situations where it might be viable but I suspect it may be a bit bugged at the moment with those hits not registering. I would usually prefer Flash Freeze anyway though, that damage reduction is just too good

If you check out the mod29 Immortal Fighter build you'll be able to see most of them. For mount insignias I've got lionhearts stacked with champions return which is an insanely powerful self heal combination and survivors blessing to heal on deflect. Then I've got the heal on deflect shirt and pants. And then I've got all the potion boons, these effect the efficacy of the rejuvenation potions. Plus I've got 6 master boons active.

@@Keegshshs Nothing has really changed in the build so far, apart from upgrading the comps to celestial 🤔 but I'll update if/when it does.

@Keegshshs oh yeah fair point, I've slotted the forte ring in for the ratings, put the new deflect heal pants on and put in the new insignia bonus for HP. I don't think the chestpiece will be a replacement for the MDWP chest to be honest, the IL increase isn't going to mitigate the stat loss. Think we'll be trying the no heal run soon, so I'll have a better idea of what works best when I don't have the over shield to rely on 🙂

Has the parkour short cut been patched or does it still work?

@supernovaxd1808 I haven't been in since the patch, but from what I've heard they've removed several of the blocks you would be able to use to get out of the damage and increased the damage effect. Apparently the ramp still exists and it is still possible to get up that way but it requires some healing or being prepared to scroll.

I haven't had a chance to really try both out yet, on the surface it seems like one is going to be a much more static playstyle. Personally I like being able to get my encounters back quicker in situations but I can see an argument for just taking the straight up damage boost and ignoring the more complex playstyle

Hey :) No problem! So the tank doesn't need to go the crystals at all really, but you can't do any damage to the boss unless you have the effect from the crystal. So the main reason to pick up the crystal is so you can damage the boss to maintain threat. It's not really an issue for this boss because the shield doesn't start until 50% but it can be issue for the second boss.

@@MasterOGA Aye, probably a lot easier by now with the extra IL we've got and that Bard dps 😂 the main issue will probably be the damage reflect but again lots of extra hp with IL

@Ahmed.R.Albayaty oh yeah very different to Neverwinter, one thing Neverwinter has going for it is the combat system. Throne and Liberty is a lot more like traditional MMORPGs lots of crunchy/clunky RPG mechanics

You need to be pretty quick, but if you run into it when it tries to jump over you, it can basically flip the breath back around

@Merrilow ty but at last 40% health, lots of wipes. I'm still not sure what we are doing wrong. Is there a way to avoid those debuffs? He swiped with wings and tail seems to also give debuffs it seems. I know for sure candles give a debuff.

@@oldfaithfulXav He starts throwing out extra random mechanics after 50%. Pretty much every red area attack gives debuffs as well as the breath, there does seem to be one sequence that appears to put like 10 stacks of debuff on you in an instant but I suspect that may be a bug 🤔 You can mitigate the debuff stacks by using a Dragon Ward overload + the dragon damage resistance ring + a scroll of protection from dragon

We switch once a tank has a stack of the starlight debuff. The sequence from the boss is stun attempt > tank buster (which applies the stack) > teleport > cone blast You should be aiming to switch to after the teleport, once the cone blast direction has been set. This will help minimise any accidents blasting damage into the dps
