In my honest opinion, I liked the first episode of Sonic X. Its what hooked me. Heowever overall, Seasons 1 and 2 were not all that great. It a had a few good episodes here and there, but it just didn’t feel right. It wasn’t untill we started getting the Metarex stuff that I got interested again. I didn’t need the anime to adapt the games story but replace important roles with that air head Chris. I needed new fresh stories and adventures. Chris as well as alot of human characters were a huge reason why I didn’t like Sonic X, but there were a couple humans I did like. Chris’s uncle Sam was great because there was no way in any universe he was ever beating Sonic. But he was constantly trying to better himself and his tactics to win. And that’s just the effect Sonic has on people. He inspires those around him to do better. And its shown rather well with Sam. Then there’s Topaz. Her dynamic with Rouge was something special. She’s probably the only human character I want in the games. She was so fun. There were a couple others but I forget their names. Overall, either way, I’m glad Sonic X happened. Whether I think its good or not is irrelevant to me because it was simply such a huge part of my childhood and is a big reason as to why I got into Sonic in the first place.

This video is good, however, I highly suggest a reupload with lower volume for the background music. Points of the video like 19:29 were just painful. Remember it's about getting your point across and not so much about the music, music can help breathe more life into the video but it shouldn't be one of the main focuses.

Checked this after the Sonic X video and this was ALSO a pretty great watch! Always love me some personal retrospectives on a series, and it's cool to see the impact this series has had on you, so cool to see The SRB2 mention was a pleasant surprise (as well as of course all the Flash games, so many memories there) and also DUDE YOU HAD THAT COLLECTION ON THE DS TOO??? Yes, except for his own friends (Amy, Knuckles, Chris & Shadow) raging at him as if he were the worst person ever (re: that moment in episode 53 when while indeed it spawned a meme, Knuckles yelled “ARE YOU CRAZY?! NOW WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?! 😡” feeling like he had to deal with a self-centered, misogynistic (via episodes 20 & 42 & eventually 69 just because he was thinking about whether to be Amy’s girlfriend or see her as just another friend he saved), racist, stupid, careless, narcissistic, useless, jealous, ungracious, cowardly loser like he thought Sonic was after losing the Chaos Emeralds that would turn him into Super Sonic like “I guess we’ll just have to find them. 😬” which set up the third and final season where the show really started to go somewhere).

Ended up getting this in my recommended and since the X Sonic mod for SRB2 ended up bringing back my X kick I decided to watch; pretty good video! Even with the slight audio problems at times, it was nice to hear your perspective on the show and I appreciate that you made every arc into it's own section, made for a nice format! I appreciate the detail that went into this and one thing I LOVED was that you mentioned what episode was your favourite in each arc, getting to hear that kinda thing is always interesting to me! I'll personally always have a soft spot for the show myself, it's the Sonic show I grew up with the most and even now there are things that have really stuck with me about it (the Helen episode like you brought up in the video, the Metarex saga and ESPECIALLY Dark Sonic, I have always adored that design, among other things) which is why I'm glad to see it getting so much attention again

It was a decent show, it had a lot of ups and downs when it comes to making the game stories adaptations, but I do like some of the creative liberties they took. Like the Chaos 2 fight against Sonic and Knuckles in the SA1 arc. Also Shadow being responsible in destroying the Eclipse Cannon during his fight with Sonic. Instead of Sonic destroying it by himself. A really clever way to hint Shadow putting Gerald's plan in motion to make the Space Colony collide on Earth.
