Ill switched it to the creality all metall is much better and iam now able to switch the bowden if i need to

Erm, thats the same design as the annex K3, which is doing fine btw. . Yes, this absolutely works and the results are quite respectable. Now give it a full enclosure, a Phaethus Rapido 2HF and Print ABS at 4000 m²/s and 500 mm/s.

My object cooler fans became very noisy after the upgrade. It is not a mechanical noise, they are in good shape and just before the upgrade they were very quiet. It is electrical noise and I think it come from the motherboard. On different speed the sound has different frequency. It is very annoying. Can you tell me any solution? Thank you

How is the backlash and overall sturdiness?
There is some backlash. It is hard to get the gears in the center to slide on the hexagonal rods and not have any backlash.

Thank you for sharing your work, it's really helpful!!! I read your configuration, and I can't figure out how you calculate these parameters: MANUAL_X_HOME_POS 158 and MANUAL_Y_HOME_POS 48.
Those positions are irrelevant when using G92, because you tell the printer where the nozzle is.
@@3D_printer_guy Yes. This is an offset between build area original coordinate (nozzle) and scara home coordinate, is it right? But I didn't see their relationship?
I mean they should be MANUAL_X_HOME_POS 60 and MANUAL_Y_HOME_POS 146 following your instruction in the video (as you said this firmware for it). Is it correct? Thank you!
Theese numbers are only relevant when using homing.

The part cooling is better. And the E3D hotend is better than the original, but its not that big difference.
What electrical connectors did you use?
I use the ones that are on the pcb.
@@3D_printer_guyI mean, those for the hotend which disconnected for the change. Are those the general microfit connectors? Looks much smaller.
@@Shoo8601 it is a black connector. I tried to solder the wires onto a spare original heater, but i couldnt. So i soldered on another connector on the pcb. If you join my discord it is easier to explain.

I compiled marlin 2.1.2 with linear advance and input shaper activated. 🙂 I made a longer video on how to install it.

hello, what's the purpose of the new design ?
I just made an adapter to mount the Voron Stealthburner toolhead on the Artillery hornet. It has better cooling than stock, and you can fit E3Dv6 hotend and dragon hotend etc.
i dont know how nor where to add that gcode...
Add that gcode in the slicer. Which one do you use?

hello! i have been searching for open source scara for a while now and yours is amazing and the git hub is really clear, so first of all thank you so much for sharing this project. Also i am mostly working with wood and metal so do you thing this could be used to mill or plasmacut things if i build special tool heads? i dont know the marlin software but am familiar with regular Gcode sender like openbuids etc..... and last thing if i scale up the design to have a bigger worksurface would it be complicated to calibrate? do you have a space on the github so we can share upgrades? greatings from france!
Hi. First of all, this is not my design. But if you join my discord, we can share more experience. It might be used for laser cutting, but i think you need something more sturdy to be milling. For firmware i really recommend reprapfirmware. Marlin 2 does not work well with scara.

have you shared this project on thingiverse or other? i've been wanting to do it for a while but most custom heads have to abandon the cable with the ptfe tube which i find a shame.

In the official artillery flashing guide there is written to use .hex file, will the flashing succed when using .bin file?
I flashed mine with the bin file, so it should be fine.

@@3D_printer_guythanks but can you share some feedback on this design, how good is it or did you see any issues. I am trying to build a machine to annex k3 with tight budget. So wanted your feedback on the rigidity, do you remember the max acceleration values reported by input shaping using accelerometer
@@DoTheDiy the problem was the tolerances with the 8mm rods and the bearings. I ran it at 12v, but never got to calibration with acceleration sensor. I recommend using linear rails. But I think you can make it pretty cheap of you make it small. In the discord server i linked, there are alot of experienced 3d printer builders and modders. Try asking more there. 🙂
yes the processor is too weak but this is a lite mcu. even a rpi needs heatsink and fan. try putting that on. heat slows the mcu down like lagging a cpu.

@@3D_printer_guyhahaha Don't bother. mine stayed at 25c. I mean I tried printing without filament and it did a 2 hour print but I had problems uploading files from slicer. manually uploading a gcode from the ui sometimes works.

my hornet does not accept M997 command. When i send it the printer screen goes black and disconnect from pronterface... Any idea?

something is wrong with your compilation of marlin firmware. printer is working very loud. in marlin 2.0.7 hornet without that noise.

I dont have a specific profile for Cura. Just select an ender 3 and tune retraction. Without linear advance i had it set to 4-5mm. With linear advance i have retraction set to about 2mm.

After printing the parts, the build was pretty simple. I dont remember how long it took to build it, sorry. I think it is a very fast and capable printer.
