What you got for a cam setup and do you still have the car
@@underratedem2 steeda 19 cam... I have had it for a long time
@@ashtonoday4295 ok thanks I'm trying to go turbo but probably won't idk yet
okay I'm no expert on the CV but why does the speedo end at 130kmph? It must do at least 100mph in stock form right?
This thing with 4.10s would rip
Hustles pretty good for an E6 head boat anchor 302
Still awesome 6 years later. Grinning ear to ear when you open that dump
dude holy shit I was on the fence but now I know what my ltd needs😂 seeing the speedo do that on that car is insane
So thats why they call it “ burying the needle” lol
Love it
I have a 1984 ldt can I put a supercharger instead of turbo
Great car, I got a "82 Ltd, what turbo do would you advise me to put on it?
No more vids?
Need. More. Updates
Speedo going going gone
This is fucking cool as hell
When you 106 miles from chicago, it’s dark out, you have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes and your wearing sunglasses
Love the custom gauges on the floor and the tach in the glove box is genius!! 😂
something about a chromed out full size sedan doing a burnout is badass af
Can u pls tell me from we’re u got that turbo
Nice
Still have this car. What cam?
When she’s home alone
Man is there any way i could get a build guide from you, i have the same year make and model with 66k original miles, and id love to try and copy what you did. Awesome car man
Most of the information is in the comments. Ignore the comments about the trans. Go with the 4r 75w gear set, solid one piece input shaft and 10in converter from TCI... everything else just have to make on your own
@@ashtonoday4295 right on man, thank you
I will use my entire gauge cluster.
What is your top speed with 3.08 gears
I don't care to find out
Stock internals? Ive got a 89 Town Car id love to turbo
Stock short block
That's how you do it, make the old Crown a powerful car to wake up it's real potential.
I have a 88 crown Vic wagon I’m wanting to turbo do you have a build sheet on this car
Lol, that speedometer needle. Funny shit.
Hey man. I got a few questions as far as the gauges radio and turbo. I have an 89 lx and I love your setup. Get back at me if possible
What year is this Crown Vic?
I have an '89 Crown LX. Don't you just love those ridiculous 85 mph speedos, that when you go fast, the needle keeps going and then disappears? The police counterparts had the much extended 140 version. I personally have plans to turn mine into a sleeper like yours. Is the engine the original 302 Windsor or swapped?
Wow
What mods has he done on it
Better than a fox body
That's awesome man , I have an 86 Grand Marquis that I would love to do this too. Wish I knew how lol
... you could always just buy mine instead.
@@ashtonoday4295 how much
Stock e7s are ok. Shoud definately make it breathe a little better tho. Pick up some numbers.
Im very curious, I have a 4door 82 crown Vic very clean pretty car, I bought It for 500$ cash running with a 351 roller w bore .30 over, got a steal on the car honestly, drove it home that day 120mph I decided that a 351 was okay ya know, so I bought a 460 bbf for it, & any other shell wouldnt be a problem, I'd have to buy the 1,300$ swap kit for a fox or a mounts for a truck , but this crown vic im not sure how to get it in the motor mounts or the mounts in the bay either or are a inch off or a inch & a 1/2, all my buddys are foxbody people, I just wanted yo try to get ahold of someone who owns a Vic here where I live their pretty rare, but thank you get back with me if possibly,
You're going to have to make your own. It's not that bad. You got two choices. Use some quarter inch plate to relocate the tabs to bolt to a stock mount or make your own from scratch.
Nice...
Hello, nice your cv, I would like to exchange information, greetings
What do you need help with?
That's a nice exhaust system you made.
You did the rest lol
You did the rest lol
You should do a walkaround of it
My boy Ashton doing it right longer videos my boy
👍nice did you ever 1/4 mile this beast?
I love this car so much 🤤🤤🤤
Nice ol Vic man
My young ass thought you were recording the radio
lmfao
Lol thats funny
Ayoooooo😭😭😭
Hey i have an 88 crown vic wagon and im trying to order an on3 kit for it. Which kit did you go with and what kind of modifications to the kit did you have to make for it to work on a crown vic? I'm assuming you used the fox body single turbo kit?
There is no on3 kit. Everything I did was custom made from scratch. The only thing from on3 is the turbo itself because it's a decent turbo for the money.
Here looking for tips on building an 85 i just bought, i want mine to sound like that😂
That is a Steeda 19 cam. Designed specifically for the 1994 or 1995 supercharged 5.0 Mustang. Since mine had a turbo on it, I figured forced induction was close enough to suit my needs. If you're on a budget, use a Mustang ho Cam and swap the two spark plug wires to match the different firing order from the Crown Vic to the HO motor's firing order. Keep in mind if you switch to a radical Cam and your engine runs on speed density also known as a map sensor it will mess up the way the car runs because a different cam pulls a different amount of vacuum in the intake manifold. Switching to mass air flow is the best if you want to change the cam.
@@ashtonoday4295 ok, im gonna do some research. Would it make sense to get a higher flow intake regardless or just with the cam upgrade?
@@missmexx2098 since your car has throttle body injection and runs off speed density, go with the stock Mustang Cam and switch your spark plug wires to the ho Mustang firing order. This way it shouldn't confuse your stock ECU too bad and the drivability should be good as well as additional power. It'll sound like a Mustang. Then all you have to do is put some shorty headers and a dual exhaust system on it to compliment it. Then put a transgo shift kit in the transmission. This will allow 1st and 2nd gear to hold way longer than they usually do.
@@ashtonoday4295 i already got the dual exhaust, im wishing i had a place to work on it because it's winter and i don't have a place to park it and work on it
@@missmexx2098 too bad you're not in the state of Michigan, I work at Midas and I can build you a custom exhaust.
I know this is an old vid.. But why the mass air ecu instead of a speed density? I also have an old Merc I'm in the process of boosting..your video has lots of great info!
Glasgow Motorsports , the reason it needs to be converted to mass air flow is because the PCM is used to seeing naturally-aspirated fuel tables that are set for the stock volumetric efficiency of the engine. This is why when you put a cam and a map sensor based ford EEC system, they run like crap and stall because they're based off of the volumetric efficiency of a stock cam and not the actual physical amount of air going into the engine via a map sensor. since you're changing the volumetric efficiency of the engine via boost it cannot account for that, thus it cannot calculate the proper fuel tables.
Finally a 80s CV with a dump installed!! I have '87 (that's on my channel) that I want done with the switch in the same space too. Can you please 🙏 tell me how you did it or how much it cost to have it done? I don't expect it to be exact of course just ballpark.
THE *CLASSiC HeeL* L.j.MiLEZ I bought a cheap one off of eBay. Then mounted it on the downpipe from the turbo. Then I welded v-band clamps on each end so it's angle can be adjusted. You can do it for about $100.
