Excellent ideas, expert carpentry, compact, self contained and an elegant solution. I want one. I agree with all your commenters. Maybe heavier legs, visually and for more stability. It wobbles some when "pushing" a drawer open and I imagined it being tipped over. (goodbye acrylic) Your video presentation works well.

Have you ever used automotive car touch up paint for the bodies to make them a little more realistic? I'm going to paint a few VW Eurovans this afternoon to match our actual van by using touch up paint in the right color.

Looks great. I enjoy adding movie and TV references to my train layouts. Glad to know it can happen in Z Scale. I'm just starting to build a Z set up.

Sorry for the loss of you Dad. Such great memories you must have. Your father's example of investing time and interest with you is to be commended. I've followed your journey in building the layout. Your attention to detail is incredible. Now all you have to do is shorten the legs and put that puppy in front of your family room sofa. Some drink coasters and the TV remote on top and you've achieved karma! Love the electronics. Absolutely gobsmacked.

It’s always a great idea to go with brand new track. I’ve had some not so good experiences with preowned track. For me personally, I prefer Rokuhan track for temporary set ups and märklin track for permanent layouts. I’ve had great experiences with Z Scale hobo. More than often, that is my go to for my Z scale needs.

Thanks for sharing about the buildings. I’ve been after a Göppingen Station and the Dürnau myself. Hopefully I get a hold of those soon as well as the Göppingen Signal Tower. I have a lot of catching up to do on your videos.

The 8800 0-6-0T steam locomotive is the best. If not the greatest of Z scale. I have 2 of them plus a newer version from a starter set. I will definitely be watching how the toporama layout comes along as I recently got back into Z scale
