I wish there was something close to the ring in power level and not 100$ a piece
I run Mono Green Tron as well. Just the typical Tron shell with no Eldrazis. Although, I do run 4 rings, 4 wurmcoil, 4 Kozilek's Return, 4 Karn The Great Creator and 2 Ultimog, The Ceaseless Hunger. Now get this.. I have a high win percentage with this version of Tron. Each fmn I win 75 percent of games. Lately, I've been either on Tron or Energy.
I have those double master foil tron lands and boy old boy their expensive. Glad I have them. Also, i need to get my hands sire, of seven death.
What do you guys think about this list? Definitely want to try some more Prison aspects in the future.
With this list is dismember just a bad card or is it because your not as weak to mooners
For this list, I'd say I'm not as weak to mooners. With talismans and Utopia Sprawl, we don't care as much. It can certainly make things more awkward, but it's not as lights out as with other versions. Dismember would be more for Frog than anything, but also help with Harbinger.
@MikeDeVo1 realistically how often does dismember kill a frog or is it like a bait thing either go full in on the frog or lose it?
I’d say very often! They usually won’t empty their entire hand to save it. Sometimes you can bait them too. It varies depending on the game, but end of turn dismember on harbinger feels so good.
Gracias por el video. Este mazo me encanta. Bueno, bonito y barato
¡De nada! Necesito reproducir una lista actualizada pronto.
I prefer Tron lands 🤣🤣🤣 jund is better imo
Haha Tron lands later this week! 😎
@MikeDeVo1 I got you notifications turned on high I'm waiting did you see spikes Tron lists he recently posted straight bangers
@@koshissnonterio8890 I have - it's just E tron with Sire haha - But I'm prob going to keep to my Sire plan with no main Chalice to start amongst some other things. Also more Modern Broodscale!
@@MikeDeVo1 modern broodscale is a fun deck too especially the soul cauldron walking ballista tech
Do you guys prefer Jund over Golgari?
Hate to be that dude, but that league was softer than Charmin. Playing u/w also in 2024 is honestly tragic.
Hey hey hey...we all deserve the occasional softball 👹
I find myself debating whether to cast Ajani or Amped Raptor on turn 2 as well. Raptor is cascade ability can be risky but payoff. Ajani can establish your board within few turns. Both are rewarding but safer bet will be Ajani on turn 2.
That play keeps coming up in my matches. I'm finding if I have Guide T1, then Ajani is the safer bet or if I have multiples. But it's close sometimes.
Finally got my fourth Ocelot Pride 😌 Adding bow master is necessary must for Mardu. Slaming bow master down after established a board is brutal for opponents.
Nice! Yeah Bowmaster in Ring meta is nice and can clear the way a little when you're on the play.
Love the thumbnail! Heheh
Let me know what you guys think about the deck or this different type of video formatting from the usual 👍
You would have attacked for 8 on t3 in g1m1, not 6. I like the aggro play there instead of ring.
Yeah looking back, I think taking the more aggro play against Belcher could have been better. I wanted to try to maximize my mana and draw more cards overall for a big sweep ( was my initial mind set).
Spellskite also counters Consign to Memory
Wait what?? Haha
@@MikeDeVo1 NVM lol I keep mixing up what spellskite does. It can target any spell or ability to redirect even if not a legal target, but it is only at spellskite, not redirecting it at whatever
@@Zetsumari Lol yeah no worries!
@5:55 to be extra safe, you could have used surgical extraction on force before using the archive trap
That's a good point! No reason not to.
Just seen the first game where you attempt to Surgical Murktide when they have a Frog in play, and your opponent Forces it. It was lucky that they forgot that Frog has an activated ability, I see that you noticed it too. IMO you should ALWAYS board in Extirpate over Surgical in the matchup for that reason, since it gets around frog activation
Good call on the Extirpates! I guess I didn't realize it also included activated abilities which is hilarious.
@@MikeDeVo1 Yeah Split Second is no joke - only mana abilities can be activated in response :)
I play without Drowns myself and I play harbinger in the side to cheese games. Taken it to many RCQs and placed very well with it.
Wow without drowns seems crazy! It’s such a flexible card in this deck. I do like the Harbinger cheese plan, but doesn’t that affect our fields and utility lands too much? I guess it’s just added land hate which is great in the right match ups.
@@MikeDeVo1 One of the problems with Drown now is that it's a dead card when your opponent has a Frog in play, and at least in my local meta Dimir Frog is by far the most popular deck. The card is an all star in Mill though for sure!
@@TheMattmatic Yeah I didn't realize how problematic Frog in play is vs. Mill. It's always smart to build around your local meta though. I see people bring stock lists that cover the online meta when clearly they don't need to haha
@@MikeDeVo1 I’ll say this. Spell snare is super good rn. I haven’t dropped a game to Dimir with mill since mh3. Played over 20. Every game you remove all of your cmc 2 stuff as they are looking to bring in extra spell snares and they have dead cards in their deck and don’t even know it. Harbinger wins you so many games and I play with leyline of the void in my sideboard and it helps so much vs through the breach, grinding breach, Dimir, Yawg, and energy. They now have to use a resource to answer constant graveyard hate. I also love consign in the side to answer rings or triggered abilities. It’s a great card to be playing.
At 16:20 they had 11 cards in deck and you had fractured sanity that mills them for 14, why take the risk of cycling it?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's probably because they had a chalice on 3
They had Chalice of Void on 3 unfortunately so I couldn't cast it.
@@MikeDeVo1 You can in paper ;)
#unfollow 😋
Lol Tron4Life 😎
How do you guys feel about Mill in the current meta?? I enjoy Azorious Mill myself 😅
Ew
I have been playing mill for years and I like it a lot. I also have been finding success with preordain. But I run maindeck bridges instead of fatal push because I find it gets so much more value. also mono blue can be good, replacing the drowns with harbingers. The best strategy by far though is to have good luck and get perfect topdecks!
@@KDD0063 Bridge in the main is cheesy and I love it. May we all have the perfect luck and topdecks!
Mill them out 😍😍😍
You understand 😎
@@MikeDeVo1I picked the two most hated archetypes in magic the gathering mill and Tron 😭😭🥺
Don’t forget Lantern too 😂
@@MikeDeVo1 I wish I need that deck I would love to play lantern
The basic forest doesn't make sense to me, the only green pips are sideboard cards and they're eldrazi so you can cast them with all the typal lands
So.. we need basics (for field of ruin/moon effects) - what would you swap out the forest for?
Some sus keeps, leading to losses. Don't be afraid to mull w this deck
Thanks for the input! Were there any that stood out? Looking back, I didn't see anything too crazy, but I agree mulliganning is hard 😅
New viewer here! Thank you for the eldrazi video! I’m just starting into modern and this has helped a lot
Hey, welcome to the channel! I'm glad it was able to help you - feel free to check out the Eldrazi playlist for more content 😁
Isn't Gemstone cavern a colorless source on the play? in game one match one
It is - I misspoke, but the hand was way too slow regardless. Good catch :)
I like Ghost Vaccuum. put 2 in several of my sideboards right after it got released
Yeah I think it’s a cool addition.
Yes please, play Sire over World Breaker in ALL Eldrazi lists. Sincerely, an Ensnaring Bridge gamer
Haha get out of here! But yes I agree; definitely useless against Bridge 😅
@MikeDeVo1 Fortunately there's like only three other Bridge gamers in the whole online meta. I'm sure you'll be fine
Just finished Mengu's new video. Perfect timing ;) He played the deck without TORs and it went pretty well (4:1). I love that there are so many viable Eldrazi Decks. I think Sire has potential!
Well thanks for coming over! I also love that there are plenty of options to mess around with Eldrazi in different strategies 😎
Who else is excited to jam more Sire of Seven Deaths into our decks??
I would love to play it I don't know what I would replace with it but it's 20tix for some reason
@@koshissnonterio8890 It's just the new hotness, but it *should* go down..
@@MikeDeVo1 how much tho I hope it comes down to around a dollar
@@koshissnonterio8890 Mythics getting that low is tough.. I'll say $5ish
I've been playing this list for the past 2 weeks and I'm currently 60-25 with 3 trophies. Went 4-1 in my last 6 leagues. I couldn't imagine playing the deck without Karn, it solo wins me about half my games. It can be awkward at times, especially on the draw against Energy or UB Frog, but even still I just run it out and minus for something and let it die. But it's such a house in any sort of mirror, amulit, belcher, storm, living end, broodscale, and generically good in the mid/late game. Plus 60% of decks play the one ring.
Definitely agree with all of this and that's pretty much how it felt during this league. I own the SL KGC in paper so I love having any excuse to play those too 😈
I just beat rumble living end with etron no ring and it was pretty interesting
Geeez.. Chalice ftw??
@MikeDeVo1 no it's Budget budget no chalice or tri sphere
Even better then! Nice work
My current build is 4 Galvanic Discharge, 3 Statis Prison and no Bolt. Going give this build a go for fnm. If i felt like im missing bolt then I'll happily go back them 😊
It's funny how Bolt has sort of fallen off, but it's not as "necessary" anymore.
@@MikeDeVo1That's true. However, bolt is step from being back in the deck whenever the deck demands it lol.
How do you guys feel about the newer sideboard plan??
Nicely done with the sideboard. I'm starting to see more White Orchid Phantom over Odsidian Charmaw. Ghost Vacuum is indeed the new graveyard hate card on the block.
@@rickygilbert7204 Thanks! Phantom is especially good against Belcher because that is an unfavored match up and becoming more popular.
@@MikeDeVo1Just got couple of Phantom from work too. Very convenient 😏
I wonder if it was bad luck… but this with Karn feels much more clunky than the Temur version don’t you think? I think Karn lives in Tron, and that deck dies to a turn 2 Damping Sphere. Thanks for the video- I’d love more matches with Temur Eldrazi!
@slipperybogle1910 I think explained it pretty well - where it can be clunky, but overall it ends up being worth it. I don't think KGC is 100% necessary though so you can certainly omit it and play the usual Temur version just fine. Eldrazi Tron has been awkward, but running more talismans has helped combat the land hate. I plan on playing more Ramp in the future, thanks!
Hey Congrats! As mentioned in the intro, you won 120 playpoints for MTGO - Please message me on either Twitter or Discord (info is in the video description!)
so yes?
Mostly Yes 😅
I was playing a budget version of eldrazi tron and beat death and taxes 2 matches in a row such a good deck
Wow nice! That match up can be awful if they are on the land destruction plan.
@MikeDeVo1 think they had 12 field of ruin effects made me cry match one
Hey that's me I got mentioned 😮😊
Yeah! The member shout outs are real 😎
Does Karn every just fall flat or are there better cards in the 4 cmc spot?
There’s def pros and cons to KGC. It being very flexible: shutting down artifacts and fetching silver bullets from sb is nice. There’s always TKS as another 4 drop or you can pivot to more ramp/disruption as well 😬
Just wait until they print the Tron lands on arena I'll crank out that deck
That would definitely convert me into an Arena player..
@MikeDeVo1 they added map so I'm just waiting in the shadows to become a menace
Hey Congrats! As mentioned in the intro, you won 120 playpoints for MTGO - Please message me on either Twitter or Discord (info is in the video description!)
Do you guys like this version with KGC or prefer the more streamlines version better?
Belcher is such a problem for the vanilla eldrazi ramp setup
I've been playing this exact list for a bit and I've been undefeated at my LGS for the past 3 tournaments. I also played Temur eldrazi and did awful with it
@@MikeTheKiwiNZ It can certainly be a pain! KGC was MVP during that match.
@@Zetsumari Nice work! I like KGC, but I also enjoy Consign. Need both 😎
I run oriss, samite guardians.
That's a sweet card I never knew existed!
@MikeDeVo1 I splash red and play imperial recruiter and flamescroll celebrant.
I also like angels grace imprinted lol
Haha that's awesome. You sound like a terrible person 😈
@@MikeDeVo1 lol yeah when mh3 first came out, I ran ugin lab with kaldra compleat and stone forge with scepter orims chant and silence. The goal was to shut them out and have kaldra finish them...and Elbrus the binding blade , and mirror box...lmao...it's such a fun deck
Love watching lantern control, and you have a nice voice, but have you considering finding some chill somewhat unobtrusive music to have in the background for videos like this?
Thank you for the compliment! I have considered this and have actually tried incorporating some type of LoFi music in the background when I first started recording (I think it was during an old Lantern league a couple years back), but ultimately I decided not to since after doing research: most people don't seem to enjoy it, I have to make sure I follow Copyright Laws and it's an additional process to add. I appreciate the suggestion though!
Before I start the video, I just wanna say that i'm super excited to watch this, it's very reminiscent of a deck I brewed up back in 2009.
Well I hope it lived up to your expectations. We’re just having fun here 😅
@@MikeDeVo1 It made me really miss my old Mono-white prison. Named after the namesake control piece, ghostly prison. (which as a 1x might be decent for this deck, taking out their lands prevents them from ever paying that (2))
I do love me some Ghostly Prison, esp against energy 💪🏼
What does cookbook do in the deck?
Cookbook is a very flexible card in this deck. It helps empty your hand so Ensnaring Bridge is useful, helps gain life with food tokens and it grows your Constructs if you’re on the beat down plan. 😎
@MikeDeVo1 but isn’t the deck cheap enough to just empty your hand by casting your spells? Wouldn't you rather have another mill piece?(because the life gain and it being an artifact doesn'tseem better than another pixis)
You’d be surprised how often it comes in handy! Sometimes they’re stuck in your hand because you have colored spells under blood moon or you had a saga heavy hand and have no lands to cast spells/need to increase your clock to win faster with constructs. Having 6 mill rocks plus 4 sagas has felt like plenty. If you check previous videos, I get cookbook a good amount :)
@@MikeDeVo1 ah, I hadn't thought about some of that. Thank you!
Couldn't help myself; just bought this in premium paper. Foil Chicken Lady Tokens of Doom.
Ohhh I’m jealous! I’d enjoy this in paper to see the look on people’s faces when they get locked out 😂
As an 8 Field enjoyer myself, I think the most important thing to know when piloting this deck is keeping a rough overview on how many basics lands play. Like dredge playing 0, Creativity playing 1 (jund) or 2 (4 colour) and so on. Running an Orzhov version with Bowmasters, Samwise, Serra Paragon, Restoration of Eiganjo Abstruse Appropriation. Any thoughts on Exorcise (from duskmourn 2 mana sorcery, exiles artifact, enchantment or creature with power 4 or greater)? Did not get to Test it yet.
The last match was a really good showcase of your Basic Land memory. :D
As a Lantern player, I have a lot of wasted brain space on Modern deck lists 😅 Orzhov sounds fun.. I’ve seen Esper and Azorious with Mockingbird and stuff too which all seem viable. Exorcise could certainly see some play since Energy already plays some.
Curious if Aven Mindcensor could work in this build. So when they are going to search, can only search the top 4? Or do we want them to bring lands out to blow up?
I’m sure you could add some amount, but then you’re leaning more towards taxes. There’s no set list, so any testing is worth. Thanks for the suggestion :)
Fun deck. LD and Scepter! Sign me up! I what software do you use for editing downtime in your videos?
It is! I use TimeBolt to get rid of the dead air.
Bruh i built this like 2 weeks dont tell anyone 😂
Nice! It's a fun deck when you get to do the thing haha
