Thank you!! I can see if I can ask him. For sure, it’s Japanese sugar! I do know that much.
@@thebuccilist congrats on the video, it was amazing! and thank you, i've been trying to find a sugar that looks like that but no luck, i also imagine his blend is top secret haha
2:27 yoin 余韻 - lingering aftertaste ... can also extend that (for me that is) to mean to Savour / Touch with Awareness / Mindfulness enjoy / savour the aftertaste ... let it linger ...☺ that was one beautiful video edited so well ... i watched some others and subscribed ... .
Thank you so much for sharing this! That’s fascinating. And thank you for watching, it really means a lot.
wow seems like a great experience! thanks for putting this video together. I hope to there in the near future. Can you please consider uploading the full footage of him brewing the coffee without any edits or music I would love to see that.
Absolutely, I’ll take a look at what I have and see what can be done. I did ask him to brew a cup start to finish and explain what was happening. Thanks so much for watching btw!
I love stories showing people taking so much pride in their craft. Beautiful video and great interview!
Same here! It’s really inspiring. Thanks so much!! Really means a lot.
Food paradise 👍. Thank you for the information 🙏
My pleasure! Thanks so much for watching!
Not Razors clams, just clams 😂😂😂
Not enough info even with full video
Wow thats so cool! Have you ever worked in a coffee shop?
No I haven’t actually. But it’s something I’ve always sort of been curious about doing. Thanks btw!!
I have no idea why RUclips recommended this to me but I'm happy it did. Very cool little window into an interesting life.
Thanks so much for watching, and the kind words! That really means a lot.
Thanks.. I will definetly visit him one day. It seems so back in time. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure! I hope you do, it was a very cool experience that yes, seems from another era in some ways.
Beautiful architecture in Istanbul, Turkey.
The video accurately and superbly connect this man to his passion : 0:00 well done!
Thank you so much for watching!!
This giving Tokyo Ghoul vibes
He even sounds a lot like the owner of anteiku 🤯
How is this even related? American anime addicts are ruining the culture of Japan and my home country

A handful of people have mentioned this, but I’m unfamiliar with it. I’ll have to check it out!
Omg you one hidden gem, that i found today, happy :0 Keep it up dude
Thank you for watching and for the kind words here! 😃
So happy to have found this channel! Amazing videos, keep it up, this is great quality!
Thanks so much! That really means a lot 😃
You choose great stories..
Thank you!!
Cool video. Arriving in Japan in 3 days, now i gotta find a sake tour.
Thank you! And definitely you should! Have a great trip 👍🏼👍🏼
What a beautiful story. It’s certainly more than coffee that he’s serving. He seems to know how to live. I’m curious to know about his family and community. Who are the people in his life?
That’s such a great way of looking at it. And I totally agree. I’m not sure about his partner situation, but I know he was two grown children. One is a doctor, and I can’t remember what the other does. His energy and fulfillment leads me to believe he probably has a nice social community. He seems happy.
I don't like macaroni noodles
Finally this video is here!!! 😁🙌
Haha yes! 🙌🏼
浅煎りの豆をふんだんに使った珈琲は絶品!
I totally agree!! Thank you for watching :)
Reminds me of the tokyo ghoul scene
I’m not familiar with this. What is it? Thanks for watching btw!
@@thebuccilist It's an anime with a coffee making scene like this. ❤
@@thebuccilistit’s an anime where there are people called ghouls that are not human. They feed on humans to sustain their needs. Coffee is one of the human foods/drinks they can consume without puking (human food doesn’t work well in their stomachs)
@@MultiFandom8isFate Ah got it! Thank you!
@@delightoftheendless whoa that’s so interesting. I’ll check it out! Thanks so much for the explanation btw!
great documentary....loved it
Thanks so much!!
Super editing 👌
Thank you!!
It’s like a Shinto shrine that serves coffee as part of a ritual offering to others. In his face I saw no regrets and complete satisfaction during his reflection. Quite the man and shop you found.
That’s such a great way to put it! And I totally agree. Was very lucky to find it.
Great video. The importance of rituals of health along with faith and pride in his work will stay with me. How did you find this master?
Absolutely! I honestly stumbled across it walking last summer, with a little help from Google maps.
It’s pretty wild and scary to watch a man in his 80’s reflect back on life..wondering if he did it well. It makes you pause (at a much younger age) and reevaluate things.
I’m right there with you. It was pretty surreal to be there.
Oh I ❤️ ed your video. I would love to remain in touch with you whenever we happen to be in Hongkong.
Found and watched this video on Reddit. Came here because I knew I had to subscribe.
That really means a lot. Thank you so much!
What an amazing piece of history! The video expertly captures the entire story and history beautifully. Great job!
Thank you so much for the kind words, and for watching! It really means a lot.
this was extremely well done esp for a channel with 6k subs! I'll join the ranks
Thanks so much!! Really means a lot.

Came across this on a (uncredited) Reddit post. Had to come find your channel and subscribe. Such high quality production, hope your channel blows up! P.S. I made sure to post your link on the thread, hope others follow
Thank you so much! That really truly means a lot.
Phenomenal work
Ah thank you so much! Really means a lot.
What a fabulous video. Thanks for making it and sharing Lily's important work and story! What is the festival depicted? When? An annual event?
Thanks so much for the kind words here! The festival was a music festival (at a local tribal center on the east coast about an hour north of Dawana) that I believe happens several times throughout the year. I’ll ask Lily’s son and round back to you.
Wow, incredible to stumble upon a channel this well produced with such low engagement! Wishing the best for you, with this level of quality you are 100% to gain traction at some point.
Thank you so much!! That really means a lot. Really truly.
Second that 🎉
@@pskbecks Thank you! 🙏🏼
Great video. I love how you blend history, culture, science, artistry, and the unique human elements into an engaging story.
Thank you so much for watching and the kind words! That really means a lot.
Yoo!! How does this have only 100 views!? Good editing, fantastic topic!
Thanks so much!! I appreciate it. Hopefully it gets more traction soon. I’m a little surprised too
Cool
I knew it was truly Asian the moment I saw rice lol

This is a nice high quality video 👍🏻 your channel is probably gonna grow into a big one by the next few months I can feel it
Thanks so much! That really means a lot.
Love the video! Great storytelling! I have a few friends headed to Japan soon and I’m definitely sending this vid along with your profile so they can check out cool things to do!
Thanks so much for watching! And that’s so nice of you! I hope they have a wonderful trip :)
Sake deez nuts
Hey! Do you know if they distribute internationally? I’d love to try some.
I’ll round back to you on that! I can try asking my contacts there.
I don't think they do but importers in your area might import it. I couldn't find any in the UK that do for example, but I suspect they are always on the lookout for new inventory and if potential customers lodge interest they might start stocking it if you ask but they'd have to order a lot and hope they sell it so one prospective customer is unlikely to convince :(
@@Bozebo Thank you for the insight here. Much appreciated.
Somehow I find it surprising that young Japanese find Sake a modern drink of choice but it looks like a good time at the corner bar. I really like that chill Shinto priest. I’d be interested in a story about him too. Keep the interesting stories coming.
Thanks so much for watching! I’d love to dive deeper in this arena.
Amazing! Had no idea about the history and skill of making Sake. Love how you told the story. The priest's explanation of how Sake is used to connect is interesting. Would very much like to know more about the other Shinto Rituals.
Thanks so much for watching! Maybe I could do a video just focusing on the priest sometime 🤔
Love this alternative content! Thanks for showing the more "unseen" aspects of Taiwan 🇹🇼
Thanks so much!! I really appreciate it. Hopefully I’ll have a few more up soon.
