Eating as little as possible to try and lose weight fast? This backfires in the long run, more often than not. The good news is that you don’t actually need superhuman willpower just to get lean. 🦸♂️ What you need is to eat meals that actually fill you up. I see you guys every week eating “healthy” meals. But they’re ity-bity tiny little infant meals. Not enough to keep an adult man who’s working out full. And I know what you’re thinking….”why would I eat more food, if I want to lose weight?” We’ll here’s the thing, I’d rather you eat a 600-900 calorie lunch or dinner instead of a 300 calorie one… If it means you won’t be snacking on 1100 calories worth of nuts, chips, and ice cream at 11pm that night. You see what I mean? So in this example, I turned a tiny egg white and spinach meal into: - 10 servings of egg whites instead of 3. - added a high fiber tortilla You could have done other things to make it a more filling meal for fat loss… - added 2 whole eggs - added an English muffin or toast - added some fruit I can’t tell you how many times throughout a calendar year, I have new clients join who were struggling to lose weight… And then they end up losing weight consistently from making small tweaks like this. And they feel like they’re eating MORE than before. But it’s just because they’re meals and snacks are structured to keep them full, and not starving throughout the weight loss process. If you’re starving all the time while trying to lose weight, I’m not betting on you to win.
Glad I came across this vid. I’m 20 and around 280 lbs, and I’m on a life changing journey starting this year. I want to eventually get down into the 100’s, but I’m taking it pound by pound each week. Doing 30 min walks 5 days a week (at least), and typically burning 800+ calories a day. I’m struggling with eating out, tho. I typically maintain a good deficit, but I constantly eat out!! I always feel discouraged when I go up 3-4 lbs on the scale, but now I know why. How can I change my mindset on eating better, Whole Foods? The fast food is dead to me, luckily… but I love Chinese, Barbeque, etc.
@@Astrapionte thanks for commenting and watching. You can do this. So let me ask you this, how many days a week do you eat out currently? Is it every day? One option would be to use a meal prep service instead. It’s cheaper than eating out. And you’d get healthier meals with protein and a vegetable. Plus they give you the macros, so if you’d use tracking your food, it makes it super easy.
@ probably around 3-4 times a week.. I wanna get it down to at most 1. I’ve never meal prepped for a whole week before!

@@amOhad131 you can lose about 1% of your bodyweight in fat per week. Maybe a little more. So I was speaking generally, but a 200lb person absolutely can lose 2-3 lbs of fat in a week. But I wouldn’t call it super common or even what you should expect every week.
Great video. I find it’s easy to focus on those short term changes to our body metrics during special occasions and get discouraged by those numbers. I remind myself that it’s the long term results that matter and when I get back on track, the numbers get back on track fairly quick. Keep up the hard work it’s worth it for the long term health results.

The only quick fix in fitness. It will double or triple your steps count, literally overnight. No affiliate links, no financial incentives to push this. Before having a walking pad I was averaging 3-5k steps a day. Since getting one 2 years ago, I’m averaging 9.8k steps a day. More steps = healthier life. If you have the option to use it 1-3 hours a day while being on calls or doing something else…. It’s a must have.

so any protein powder you can find there that has more than 20g of protein per serving. And ideally less than 5g of fats and 5g of carbs per serving. That's what I personally look for.
I had the same experience as your client. Been on a diet for close to 3 months and wanted to throw in the towel after I saw my weight was still the same after 3 weeks. I binged Saturday night and realised the same day that I was down 7kgs! I went back on track and am mentally reminding myself to stay consistent and live a healthy life
Yep, it's about having healthier habits and routines. The numbers won't always go down every week, or every month even. But I've found the more we focus on the habits and routines, and the less we hyper fixate on the exact number on the scale....usually that's when we also end up losing more weight haha
I felt the same when my body fat increased by 0.7%, weight increased 2.8 lb. But gained 1 lb of muscle mass. I’m bummed I gained body fat but you’re right…it was the holiday eats. Now back to losing the extra fat
@@picard1233 yea, I sort of assume I’ll gain 1-3 lbs of fat during the holidays. Even if I play it pretty well with eating. I may not gain that, but I assume I will. And the good news is that we can lose 1-2 lbs of fat in just a week. So it’s really not that big of a deal. Our body composition is determined by what we do 300-325 days a year. Not what we do the final 2 weeks of the year. 👍

There are a lot of myths in regards to what "bad posture" is and that you need to "fix" it with so and so exercise. I would do a through research review speak to real physical therapists in this field and consider taking this video down. Yes all these posture videos get a lot of likes and clicks but they are indeed myths not supported by high quality research in regards to the links between posture, pain, and movement
Of course if you have an injury, go to a physical therapist or doctor. But this video is just helping with 3 exercises to train the rear delts. Which is not myth at all. And if you have stronger rear delts, you’ll have a better chance at having better posture. But yes - if you have any sort of disease or condition, see a doctor.

Love the taste but I cannot get it to not clump. I have used a shaker and a frother and neither can get it completely smooth.
also most apple juice is pure sugar rather than a fruit like blueberries which means it overpowers your insulin and makes you produce excess insulin which leads to wanting more sugar because there’s no fiber or anything to slow the sugar going into your body down

I recently returned back to my fitness pal I loved the free version and used it 2017 to 2018 I had such great result. However, life happened 😂 , I thought I return back to a platform that is simple to use. However, it has changed a lot lol. I was wondering if you would do a review for 2025? I am wondering if I should get the premium. I feel like this video might be redundant to ask because the key concepts you did covered about fitness and effectiveness of using the tools at your disposal.

**UPDATE: My treadmill officially stopped working. The engine stopped working and it's been about 2 years almost exactly. I looked up the reviews and others had similar problems after various amounts of time. As of now it's rated a 3.9 out of 5 stars on amazon. I purchased this for $400 I believe and in my mind it was still worth it. But I will be searching for a new one now.

Thanks for the video! This may seem like a foolish question but as you lose weight, do you drop your calories as well or you continue with the initial caloric deficit goal until you plateau? How much do you drop your calories by if you drop them?
good question. and the truth is, it depends on many things. for some clients I don't need to adjust calories at all in their fat loss phase and they lose all the weight they want to lose. others, we do gradually reduce the calories over time. the main things it depends on is if you're moving in the right direction weekly. Basically, if your weekly average weight is trending down. if it is, there really isn't much of a reason to reduce calories in most cases. but the timeline of the fat loss phase matters too. We might take a more aggressive approach for someone only wanting to be in a fat loss phase for 2-3 months, compared to someone who is in one for 6 months or until they reach their desired level of leanness. hope that helps a bit?

thanks for watching! For me it's pretty close, maybe 30 min before. but because it's only fruit, it doesn't take too long to digest. if it was a bigger pre workout, I'd want to wait longer.

For context, 450g of strawberries is a massive amount. You’d never eat all those in one sitting. They would fill you up too much and only have 144 calories and 22g of sugar. But the Naked smoothie has 290 calories, 57g sugar and you can finish it in 30 seconds. Neither is “good or bad”. And I’m not saying you should never have a Naked smoothie drink. But if you’re trying to lose weight, understanding these things can really help. (In regards to calories) And if you’re trying to limit sugar, it’s good to know these things too. Always read your nutrition labels 💪
That's more than a "couple" hundred calories more. That's at least 500 more since 4 oz of chicken breast is 187 calories (that looks like more than 4 oz) and a cup of rice is about 200.
no its not 500 calories more man. should have said a few hundred more. you get the point though, for not many calories, you get a much more filling meal.
I've used one walking pad, which broke within a month. This one has had many great reviews. One thing I need help finding information on is the distance. Is it in kilometers or Miles? Also, can I hook up the app to my Google Fit app so it can count my steps?

Don’t eat more unhealthy food u dint have to, eat less protein in lunch and more in the breakfast, try not to eat high volume and Lo w calorie food try to find a balance to it. And try to maintain 3 meals a day so your hunger stays balanced
How do we know it really has that much protein?
@@MercuryTransmissions I mean, mostly have to trust what the nutrition label says. But otherwise, there’s probably no exact way to know for sure. Just have to trust the brand is honest about it.
