I am practicing trombone and the song I am playing for my concert requires high e-flat. I have been struggling, this is what I needed. I hit the note no effort. Now I have to practice doing this and switching mouth positions quick enough for 16th notes

I did this at a dance about 10 years ago playing bass trombone in a big band. We had about 2 bars to put on bucket mutes. I dropped mine and it rolled out between the bari and 2nd tenor saxes, just past the director, off the stage and out onto the dance floor. My finest moment!

Yeah thats pretty much my reaction. Marshall is absolutely insane and makes this sound so effortless. Im not sure because i havent played it, but if i had to take a stab in the dark i expect that this is harder than puddle jumping by a decent amount haha. (I'm Lukas by the way, we met at a choir concert a while back)

Fyi: The first Trumpet is called Brandon Ridenour. He did play with Canadian Brass until 2022 (? don't quote me on that). He's an absolute beast too. His stuff with "Founders" is great. 2nd Trp is Ethan Bensdorf from NY Philharmonic. So yes...I would guess, everyone of those "support guys" are top notch alphas in their own right.

What a fun video. The Baritone player and I switched instruments for a single song during band class. I wish I could remember the piece(over 20 years ago), but it was fun. We learned each others parts, thankfully our own mouthpieces fit each others instruments.

Joe Alessi's playing is ludicrous. Hearing him it seems like it's easy, but it's not. The phrasing, intonation accuracy and musicality are next level.

I played trombone 6th-12th grade then in church and civic band for a while thereafter. I miss playing often.
