I agree with everything he said about mentorship of young men
self destructive musical trends we now call culture.....Umar as real as it is
That guy in braids…..need to stop……bringing up fashion…podcasts….what????? Where’s the banks…where’s the supermarkets…..where’s the hospitals…..schools……etc…etc…
I appreciate Dr. Umar's willingness to want to sit on "the small man's couch" BUT IT'S TIME TO TURN DOWN SOME OF THESE CLOWNS!!!
You say that before we were born, we sat the foot of God, and we knew our purpose for coming to earth, but we lost that purpose when we were born. How do you find that purpose again while you are alive
Dr. Umar, you are better man than me for even arguing with this fool. This guy and his mindset is of our mini problems. There’s no way you can tell me the hip-hop is it stands is not a major problem in our community. it’s killing our youth poisoning our babies all for a few to get rich and run
I’m using voice text because I’m driving so there might be some misspellings or grammatical errors. Please forgive me.
He learned from the Caucasian man, lie and then lie, and if caught in that lie, lie some more.
Dr.umar tell them...wake up people 😮
Jamaica don't own nothing any more..😢 very sad.chinese people don't like black people..government loads of fools..selling out and not looking after the people
Dr. Umar is 💯 right about the hip hop industry.
Hollering and screaming doesn't automatically mean you're right.
Wish we had people like Dr.umar in the mexican community
Rappers Hip Hop hasn't done sh....t for blk ppl or community's hvnt built sh....t
if rap is the voice of certain class of black men and their world they live then aint they also condemning themselves telling the rest of the world how fd up their lives are how broken and dysfunctional their community is by showing its failings
1:44 sent meeeee 😂😂😂😂😂
"Floors and doors" 😂😂😂😂😂.
Broooo hip hop has done absolutely nothing positive for the black community, and it's poison. This dude just doesn't want to admit he's wrong. That being said I still listen to my favorite artists. Luckily I was taught as a child this shit is all lies and poison so don't live my life like they say.
Any genre blacks enter we leave our mark hip hop was and is venue we can use for our political stance our street culture our lifestyle to also romanticize the gritty side of violence free well is a individual choice . We often assimilate to our captures prospectives and act like animals in a cage as we undermine our power our culture. Yes hip hop gave us an avenue to be heard and grow outside the lines of our past realities some grew positive some not so much. I don’t want to equate myself with the glass half empty is some good in this genre see what you see.
All you arguments is foolish dumbash. Only one example is enough for you that is how Salauddin treated Christians and Jews after Conquering Jerusalem.
They ain’t got to be successful rappers on a larger scale. Every inner city has highly influential rappers that control the young black youth. Is bro really from the hood?
Aww Mouse , that’s so dope seeing him with Dr.Umar. I used to watch him on the Grapevine years ago .
You can tell who genuinely wants to convey truth and who just wants to try to sound smart. Some shit is just not debatable. Just bc the music industry/hip hop as a genre has opened a few doors within entertainment for select individuals, it has not generally done a DAMN THING for the Black youth which looks up to the ppl who represents it, the black man nor black woman that extends beyond industry affiliation and benefiting white pockets- there’s more than enough influence and currency floating within the hiphop community to demand/create its own change to further uplift, benefit, and repair our black community on a much larger scale than just giving one or two talented ones an opportunity. In 50 years we should’ve had something that the black family can benefit from and the white man can’t take. 57:59
59:17 _”To win an argument you can’t play both sides”_ That exactly how you win an argument. You see the point from both perspectives. 🤦♂️
The white women comment I'm my opinion is in total reverse, it's more symbolic of conquering the manhood of the white man. They are being cucked in that way.
I'm looking forward to Umar using Project 2025 as his excuse for not opening the school
Its all about recruitment, keeping whatever alive.
The man brought a school and people say he aint got a school lmao 🤣. Only black people hate they self so much
He bought a dilapidated building on a whim bc gofundme was set to refund donors. No research or anything went into buying that worn out building that will NEVER open
You poor young people. You've CREATED a whole new level of dissention, dilution, isolation, and division among our people. Almost NONE of us are pure Africans. The slave masters, and overseers, etc. had their way with our people for hundreds of years. Many generations. Apparently you don't know about the 1 drop rule. And that goes for Dr. Umar too. NOBODY owes him an explanation. He has some more studying to do.
I watched this entire video and I must say that my absolute favorite part was @1:04:50. THAT right there is what’s needed in the black community. THAT right there is hope that Major changes can happen for the better.
This dude is an idiot. Sorry for such strong words
I can't wait for him to use Project 2025 as an excuse for him not opening his school
I’m from Toronto watching this was an embarrassment . My bother said fashion. The fact that he doesn’t understand what Umar is saying is concerning 😳😳😳😳😳
The guy with the braids has no knowledge
Dr. Umar mention institutions and they still haven't name one!!
The guy with the braids is holding Jay z ball
These dudes are not ready for Dr. Umar!!!!
Did umar get the school inspection at the end of the summer like HE stated in this video?
I’m love hip hop and I’m a life long fan. Dr Umar is 100% right.
Kendrick was just talking about drake omg
We need to stop babying men in their early 20s by saying their still kids they don’t know better. Stop it yall, we know we are capable of a mature young man by the age of 15 if raised properly, our ancestors did it for years, manhood is a mentality that can be obtained soon after puberty. No more excuses for people pretending they don’t know better. Their creative, talented and smart enough to know how to achieve some success, their very capable of choosing better. Simple as that.
All black people must know their history to free themselves from colonial mindset, media and self hatred. That means we must educate ourselves. Self awareness is important in life. Art and history and philosophy helped me to understand who i am and the world we live in.
Dude in the grey was trying to sound smart but it wasn’t landing 😂
He said “you don’t know what Travis Scott is sayjng” but affirms that it “isn’t negativity” 😂😂😂😂 idiot
i hate men with long nails.
Wizard of Finance
Where is the pan african school ?
These podcasters are liable also.
Let's just embalmed this vaudeville act M/ F
😂😂😂😂😂
What happened to the schools, you were supposed to build and the money you called.
That guy is an idiot. Dr. Umar should have left looooong time.
