Networking With People Is Easy - MBA Lessons
I LOVE how people don't pay attention. this is a lost generation.
What were they not paying attention to?
@@CluelessPanther for one, they are too focused on social media instead of paying attention to the business they work for. they're on the inside and should absolutely understand what's going on. sitting around waiting to be fired and caught off guard implies they were asleep at the wheel. enron should be required reading/research/example for everyone. I used to work for a company that was steadily laying people off from before the day I arrived. offshoring work. laying off workers but glad handing amd chopping it up with pots talking about they're hiring, for lower wages AND lying about needing visa workers, ALL THE SIGNS. I spent the last 3 years training and studying all I could preparing for the day my name was listed. I was paying attention when the bonuses dwindled and then the year we didn't get one at all but the ceo was still raking in millions, I knew it wouldn't be long. these people should have already understood business trends. layoffs are rarely based on employee skillset. workers w/benefits are the most expensive line items. whining because they got canned "two weeks b4 holidays" and while "we trying to buy a house" is comical to me. these corps do not care. Jobs are ONLY about LEARNING and EARNING.
Also, I actually used to work at AWDC and the company I worked for (temp) made the terms crystal clear, but every single season, some of them, working side by side actual workers, doing exact same work, seeing what it is, still assume they can get on FT and would still want to having heard amd seem the horror stories up close and personal. I was happy it was temporary, but I also had a FT job. it was definitely wild up in there. but it's not like they hiding anything.
@freema9246 Very well said. You're right there are signs. Last year I left a job for another one because they had started layoffs 6 months prior, and I wasn't waiting to find out if I was next. This time round, I got caught off guard because I was one of the very first to be laid off after a year of strong growth. Sometimes it's obvious but it can be sudden as well, and we could get caught off guard.
hmm wonder what happened to my whole other lengthier reply??? ESRNING and LEARNING. also watch for those signs.
Wait. The girl with the corvette is paying 700 dollars a month for 500 times is 350,000 dollars. That's two Ferrari's but she is only getting one corvette. Jesus. How is this even legal?
It should be illegal. That much irresponsibility should not even be possible.
41.6 years to pay off the car, how the fuck
@CluelessPanther did you research into this at all? What makes you think it's possible?
@galanta3534 I don't see how I should research the lady or the dealership to find out if the financing deal was real. I doubt its veracity, but I found it and thought I should react to it.
@@CluelessPanther no problem, didn't mean to come off harsh, it's just that such a loan seems unbelievable
Car sales people with $1400 payments are the reason they dont wanna budge on prices. They won't be able to make their payment without big commissions.
That’s true. Salespeople fall into their own traps of overextending themselves on leverage, then get stuck with the payments.
Ppl want to flex too much. I have 3 cars all paid for.98 honda crv, 06 Colorado, 13 tucson..insurance on all 3 totals $180 month.it might be a little high because of a couple drunk drivings but still reasonable. If you have a new car not only do you have high car payment but high insurance payment because the new car is expensive to repair and/ or replace. Go old school ppl.,is it really important to have a fancy new car?
O, good on you. I have a 2012 car and it costs me over $200 insurance because my wife and I are both new drivers. I’m aching to drive that down by shopping around.
500 payments!! 🤣🤣🤣 On a house you will make 360 payments on average! LOL
That’s what’s making it so difficult for me to believe that the video is true
@@CluelessPanther you might be right. no bank would finance a vehicle for even 200 payments unless its an RV or something
But what if she already owed the bank for a previous car that she wouldn't pay for unless she got this new one. And if the negative equity from the previous car made the new loan have more payments. I don't know if that's even possible; I've never worked at a bank.
The school system failed us all. Instead, they teach us how to obey and be owned.
The system depends on most people being financially illiterate. It funds capitalism
He must have meant 50 payments, equaling about 5 years. No bank is going to lend like this over 50 years for a car lol.
Dealer structured Finance agreements on exotic are sometimes 144 months, which is double the length of the max (72 Months) normal consumer auto loan. But 500 is unbelievable.
@ wow. Even a car loan (exotic or otherwise) at that length is insane. Given today’s wild market and our society’s embrace of financing things, I guess we can’t rule anything out.
I truly hope it’s 50 payments because that would make more sense
You have great content (subscribed) live your life to be financially flexible - being normal sucks, think differently and always stay focused long term
Thank you for the encouraging words and for the subscribe. It means a lot to me. Wishing you the very best as well
Max payments that a bank loan would approve is 84 months, so not sure what this 500 payments is about. And if someone paid 700 a month and sold it after 3 years, it's actually a good deal as a lease payment would be like 1000+ for that car if it is real.... So how about we clarify wth this is about before talking smack on it haha
That’s not how that works. you would be so upside down.
@@alexcannon9364 Wait, so how does it? Just trying to understand... Yes, you are upside down... but just car depreciation, and what you owe on the loan balance.... when you sell the car, you would use the balance to pay off the loan regardless of the terms... but compared to a lease you are going to be upside down on 100% of every payment as well... but you paid less per month with this loan...
@@adrianowallin No when a lease is over you walk away with nothing or the buyout. When the ownership is over she will owe the difference between the loan amount and the sale amount.
@@alexcannon9364 yea but what is the lease is like 1400 a month…
So it could be that she negotiated down the payment so much that she’s paying less than the interest being accrued on the loan. The whole loan beats all logic
I paid full cash for my 2015 Honda Accord up front ... it's almost 10 years old with 38k miles. I'm a young multi-millionaire, go figure. Don't get tied up in things that go down in value, invest in the market or property - not cars
Exactly. Pay cash for things that lose value. Buy used Toyotas that are 5 years old and they will last your entire life. Bought all my cars for cash. Retired at 50.
That’s the way to do it. Prioritize buying assets and only get liabilities that you absolutely need.
'perfect for them not for you' hilarious.
Hahahaha, thanks
I mean could be a finesse with zero down, then just sell once the mileage passes 20k. Still a big risk but could work out if you play it right.
But if you sell it after the value has depreciated, you’ll still carry the negative equity into the next car you buy
@@CluelessPanther So exactly how is someone supposed to get a newer or low mileage car without payments if they don't have the cash? I have bought plenty of 100K+ cars and by far my best car so far had 55K miles and cost 16K!!!
Finessing your self. SMDH. The car loses the most Value in the first 3 years. Putting 0 down means you will always owe more than the car is worth until year 6 of a seven year loan and your payments are going to be High like $700 to $1500 for a 35k to 50k car. There is no finessing the Bank! They know how math works! There is only fraud and or screwing up your credit.
@donaldlyons17 You can't if you put 0 down. 700 a month is 9k a year but 7,500 of it is interest. So for a 90k car you still owe 88,500 after a year but the car is only worth 75k. In year 1 you'll be 12,500 under water and it just goes up as the car gets older. The car depreciation is the most in the first 3 years. This is why everyone in the hood got Mazeratis. The car depreciated 70% in 5 years. So after 5 years a dealer will offer you 15k for a Maserati Quattroporte. Then they sell it to people with no credit and no money down for 20k and they think they are Ballin. Reality is the car will be worth less then 10k in 2 years and will cost a grip to fix all the problems it's guaranteed to have.
@@mc365mc Even if they bought all old cars there will be maintenance at minimum. Also when it comes to money people have to have a way of making money and a car can be a way to have options..... Yes newer and new cars continue to fall in value but a car can equal buying power also.....
No such thing as a 500-month car loan. I wouldn't post misleading videos as a content creator, just bad taste. Keep your soul, brother.
I’m just reacting to the TikTok I found. It sounds so outrageous, I’m hoping it’s not real
500 payments is crazy!!😮
Right? It’s insane. She’ll never own the car outright
This is the most insane car payment plan I've ever seen - she'll be financially handicapped for the rest of her life
But she took it while smiling. That's the part I don't get.
@@CluelessPanther people don’t understand financing or value of a term, they just want the immediate purchase

There is no reason to choose Christmas to lay people off. Psychos are running these companies
The timing couldn’t be any farther off
be my former employer where 5 people got fired in the span of 1 year and 2 who left on their own and their positions aren't filled, instead passed on to others.
That’s the thing with some of these employers. That’s why I always say that if I don’t like how it’s being run, I’m leaving. Don’t have time to be asking for more help that will never come
Your getting married and have absolutely no money saved really? Go collect!!
That’s one thing I don’t understand with many Americans. My wedding was paid off in cash cos I don’t believe in racking up debt for anything that’s not an investment.
Suck it up find another job instead of posting it on social media like the people gonna save you lol, I've been fired many times , blue collar worker here , sucks cuz I can relate , funny they complain about it
Everyone has their way of processing so I don’t judge. Some people feel better after posting on social media.
Are you American or African?
I’m African. You can tell from the accent, right?
I worked for a large corporation once and will NEVER do that again. They will simply use you up and spit you out.
I haven’t quite worked in a large corporation yet. The largest I’ve done is 4000 global. When I do get into a large corporation, I’ll make sure to have my own gig on the side cos they’ll spit you out, like you said.
In Japan and many other developed and under developed countries HAVE job security, they have figured out a way to do it; it is not difficult and these are countries that have businesses that operate out of greed..BUT THEIR GOVERNMENT PROTECTS THE WORKERS.. the little smart Americans haven't figured out sh*t because they govern themselves by jealousy and throw each other under the bus...their is a difference not just in culture but in the type of person a society has.
@brotherrubin3914 You're so right. The job insecurity here is because of the winner-takes-all mentality governing American society.
Wait... tik tok is actually being banned.... What a xmas gift.
@VenomRoadRacing I personally think it won't get banned. Remember how Trump was the first to threaten a Tiktok ban, scheduled it for 2021 and Biden postponed it till 2025? Each president threatens the ban but doesn't want to be the one to actually execute. Trump loves his popularity among young people and wouldn't want to tarnish that so I predict he'll postpone it again.
@CluelessPanther The ban is on 19th inauguration on 20th
I still don’t think it’ll actually go through. It’ll be political suicide for the Dems
@@CluelessPanther It's really not a big deal. I don't believe 14 year olds in 4 years will not vote for them because they took away tiktok. Also with low birthrates the young vote doesn't have much power now. The majority that effect it far more arnt tik tok users.
TikTok is not only used by 14 year olds. There are a lot of millennials and gen z’s who make a living from the content they post on TikTok who won’t be very happy
You what is even harder, the gap in your beautiful resume or what was once beautiful resume. Now as you’re starting all over again, you need to figure out what to say when you have such a large gap in your résumé cause apparently explaining that you just couldn’t find a job is not good enough so it seems like it’s gonna get harder and harder for a lot of people even the ones that went to school for a very long time and have a lot of experience in various fields
@user-rq4qo2tl9m You're absolutely right. That's one of the various BS that employers use to preserve power over you. I have a 6-month gap now (and growing) but I'm not bothered by it. If you ask me, I'll say I took time off to work on some personal projects, including RUclips and podcasting (coming soon). If you're going to disregard the value that I'll bring to your company because of some silly gap, that's your loss.
@ I’m so sorry, the only thing I can think of is we aren’t alone.
We aren’t alone at all. I’m using this down time to work on other streams of income that should supplement when I eventually find a new job
@ you will do well!
Thank you
Companies lay off in Q4 because they need to show less of a loss in Q1 of the new year. Its all about the math and financials.
Not all companies have their fiscal years aligned with the calendar year. to some companies, we're in fiscal Q2.
@@CluelessPanther True, but fiscal year is different than Quarterly earnings , most company's follow Oct 1 to Jan1 as Q4 earning period
Your failure was applying it as blanket statement. There are a myriad of failures in your logic even if we take it at face value and do zero sleuthing. The main Achilles heel is the presented hypothesis is that it would be visible every quarter. They all have a huge impact on a companies ability to secure investors and the stocks. Naturally, one quarter may have a higher rate of layoffs. But it should be universally obvious given the premise. Additionally, it remove any alternative perspective that provides an answer bereft of immoral drives or penchant. Such as, the closer they get to the quarter the more likely they are to have a complete view of their current finances and have more sound projections. Less time, less unknowns. More pragmatism over clenching to a dream or unlikely scenario.
Then all work is really temporary work your really a 1099 worker. They use you for a temporary.period.of time. Well that would be fine if they make that clear to you in the getgo
Well, most of us are “at will” employees which makes us pretty temporary.
I'm curios what their jobs were. The first girl said marketing and I have a feeling so where the other three. Marketing has one of the highest turnover rate of any job out there. On average marketing companies have a 30% turnover rate so while their current marketing job may have ended another just opened up at another marketing company somewhere
@coop22981 You're right on the money. But some people don't research into the typical turnover rate of their career choice and the economic ebbs and flows. I'm a consultant and know that the turnover with us is even higher so I was not at all shocked when I was let go of. I don't know what the other ladies do for work tho.
I was laid-off 3 months after purchasing a home. It's some scary stuff
@peteg7446 Sorry to hear bud. Were you able to secure something else soon after? I resisted the urge to buy a home so much that my wife calls me "anti-home ownership" but it was because I was not feeling secure in my job. And I got laid off anyway.
@CluelessPanther I was lucky enough to find another job within a few weeks. I had been with that company for 8yrs. I'm now at 20yrs with my current employer. I'm getting ready to retire early.
Right, so that happened a long time ago. I thought it was recent. Glad you're all sorted out now. Kudos on the hard work.
@@CluelessPanther have a blessed Christmas and safe New Years 😁
Merry Christmas to you too. I hope it’s filled with joy
Gain more skills that make you more valuable and this will not be an issue. Most people get a job and then just coast instead of progressing.
@tenkarausa5294 I'm gonna disagree with you on that. Companies will lay you off irrespective of how good you are at your job. Elon Musk gutted the supercharger team even though the supercharger network is hands down the best performing EV charging network. I agree that we must all be leveling up our skills and networking like crazy to establish ourselves in our roles, but the company can drop you regardless.
@ true. My coworker was on that supercharger team. 3 weeks later they offered the position back. Companies are weird but if something does happen while you are gaining skills you will always have them to fall back on and use for when you reapply or go out on your own. People are not taking responsibility or living in reality. Every day someone in a foreign land is getting better and cheaper, if you don’t match these workers what is the justification for your job? Because you deserve it? Nah. Respectfully I believe both can be true at the same time.
@tenkarausa5294 Great defense. You're right that your skills are the main thing to fall back on if/when you get laid off. I'll add your network to that as well. Having a strong network of people that you've worked with and senior professionals advocating for your success in addition to your skills and work ethics will ensure that you always land right back on your feet.
This is when chad bails on her and the nice guy becomes a target to save the day once on her feet its back to chad again
Red pill alert! Red pill alert!!
A company willing to fire employees for no other reason than “we’re trying to save money for the investors” rather than subtracting money from the CEOs, Doesn’t deserve to be in business. Especially before Christmas. Digusting
@premiertrainingFL That's all too real. But honestly, I know not all companies do it for the bonuses of the executives. Corporate bankruptcies are also on the rise, so some do it for the company to survive the downturn. If the company goes bankrupt, everyone loses their jobs.
@ I get that there are outliers. The survival of the business, perhaps is the priority when looking at the entire workforce of a company. However, there too many big companies doing this, and having dog sh*t products they’re over pricing, hitting the consumer and the employees. It’s wild
You’re right. When it comes to these big tech companies with $billions in profits and still laying off staff, it makes my skin crawl.

Indeed. Find an overnight sitting job with an easy client. The extra money is a blessing.
@ParkviewSinger Don't you need some type of certification to be a caregiver?
This is so sad, and with the state that the economy is currently in, losing a job is scary. We are living in times where it is becoming so necessary to cultivate multiple streams of income (as much as possible), because job security is no longer a guarantee. I hope these individuals manage to find a new job at the beginning of the new year.🙏🏾
Job security has been a joke for a very long time. I blame myself for not securing multiple sources of income; I knew better and didn't act quickly.
@CluelessPanther I share the same sentiments.😅
Now we know better. This will be the last time I'm caught unprepared.
@CluelessPanther 🙏🏾
You have raised good points here. Kids of today are being raised as the "iPad generation" where a child as young as 4 years old is already being entertained by watching videos on a tablet or cellphone and it is usually unsupervised. It's important for parents and guardians to do their best to monitor what their children are consuming because it will definitely have an effect on their brain and thought process. Also, the popularity of the heavily edited video clips on short-form video platforms has decreased the average attention span. It's sad.
It's super sad, @ShammahCorner. Unfortunately, content moderation only focuses on keeping gory and explicit material from kids, rightfully so, but I think more should be done to disincentivize these ultra-edited content slobs, popularly called brain rot. A decade from now, it'll be all over the news and these platforms will apologize with hindsight after having monetized the hell out of the kids of today.
@CluelessPanther You're right, they'll be making documentaries about this in the future. It's good that we are taking note of it now. Perhaps we can do better whenever we become parents.
Most definitely. But some people have already been making commentary on this; it's just not mainstream yet. Look up "content slob" and "brainrot content" and you'll see that a few people have been discussing it.
@CluelessPanther I'll definitely check it out!
This is so true! Time is more valuable than money because you can always find a way to make more money but once time has passed, you can't get it back. And the point you raised about maybe other people don't value your time because you don't value your time is thought-provoking! Great message!
@ShammahCorner Are you referring to another video of mine?
@@CluelessPantherHi, my apologies. I see there was a slight mix-up. I am currently watching videos of several people in our community, so your video was next but I think I clicked on yours, before I had finished commenting on a previous video of another creator.😅

Thanks a milli, I'm working on bringing more of my goofy personality out. Also, the comment mixup is pretty funny.
@@CluelessPanther 😅 Glad you understand...and yes, keep sharing your personality in your content.
I feel like adults in the future are going to have HORRIBLE attention spans and whatnot from TikTok, RUclips shorts etc. Gen Alpha looks doomed already.
It's gonna be the Goldfish Generation. It's so disgusting what we've turned society into. All these apps and algorithms going down the slippery slope of dooming future generations in the presence of incompetent and uncaring regulators.
@octavl I greet with your observation. It really is a scary thought!
@@CluelessPanther I have learnt a new term. I always referred to it as the "iPad generation", but today I have learnt that the correct term is the "Goldfish generation". Thank you!😊
@ShammahCorner I just coined that term. Let it be known by the internet that I said it first if it ever becomes mainstream.
@CluelessPanther I googled it, and it exists. It's an actual term, so you are ahead of the curve, awesome!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
What a classic. 😂😂😂😂😂
Hahaha, thanks! I'm taking this to AGT
What’s so bad about Mrbeast he done so many good stuff
@Theittheit5420 His productions are hyper edited to constantly bombard you with stimulating graphics and sounds. An hour of that and you will have the attention span of a goldfish. Also, why is a video so optimized to hold the attention of teenagers so heavily sponsored by a gambling app? That's social engineering, to me.
unc i can barely hear you
@eduxis6802 Sorry about that. I'll work on my sound.
At first i read the title as “i just watched a mr. BEAN video” and was about to be so sad lmfao but ya great video!
@reeofsunshine92 I'll pick Mr Bean skits over this pile of garbage content 1000 times over. O, when comedy was good entertainment.
i fully agree honestly. hopefully you won’t get drowned out by the mr beast fans that search for any negative videos on the subject to defend him
@sethfulton7011 I've only seen a couple of comments defending his content, but most people actually agree with me.
What is this uncle doing bro
@RealpatienceOmos What do you mean by that?
@@CluelessPantherbro you are over the age of 40 and you are sitting here in your chair 15 min straight just complaining about a channel that doesn’t effect you
@RealpatienceOmos You think you can rile me up by overestimating my age? I'm not easily riled up. The kind of content Mr Beast makes is toxic for the youthful mind. It's that simple.
Unc ahh
Ahh what?
@@CluelessPanther bro you are one of those uncles who thinks social media is bad while still being on social media themselves and just complaining behind the screen for 15 min straight
@@CluelessPantherand why are you specifically targeting mrbeast you know they are a lot of entertainment channels who do the same exact thing but you chose mrbeast do you just want to hate on him
@@CluelessPanthermrbeast job is to entertain people like many other channels so you can not really hate on him for “over editing”
I did not complain about all social media. I complained about a specific niche of media that is intentionally targeting young impressionable minds to sucker them into gambling. That's toxic and unethical by all accounts. If you can't see that objectively, then society has failed you.
true that!
@Kais.mp5 No wonder most kids nowadays can't read
13:46 That's another reason why I flag. Even if you right-click a flagged cell, it doesn't bomb (that is if it is actually a bomb)
You're right, but that slows me down so much when I'm playing. I'd rather rely on my precision to save me the time.
@elorm_adukonu left-click, you mean
6:53 I got a shout-out, yay 😁
Yes, absolutely. I made this video because of you.
Nice~! I played Minesweeper so many times because Windows built-in games were only games on our school computers back in the day~
@TheHiddenMarty Were you in a boarding school?
@@CluelessPanther Nah, I'm Polish so we had and still have a very different education system. On top of this my elementary school was very small (50-70 kids from local villages), co-funded by parent's foundation because it didn't get enough subsidies. We had old PCs, some couldn't even run Win XP so Win 98 was still in use. Even if those PCs could run games, app installation was admin-blocked. Thankfully nowadays it's much better in terms of funding and modern equipment for schools than it was in the 2000s, joining the EU helped a lot with tons of funding especially for poor regions like mine~
@TheHiddenMarty Oh wow, thanks for sharing. Fascinating how the community pulled resources together to fund the school; I'm all for it. I guess I was more fortunate because I grew up in the third largest city in Ghana, and my dad got us a desktop computer at home when I was little. We even had this dial-up internet that allowed us to play online games on the Disney website. Kim Possible's skiing game was one of my favorites. There was also a Lilo & Stitch surfing game.
@@CluelessPanther We had that internet too~ I still remember the dial-up beeping sounds~ It's always fascinating to learn how people in other places in the world live their day-to-day lives. It's rarely taught in schools but I think it should be because learning that humanizes people of other cultures. It removes fears of the unknown which are often abused by politicians for their personal gains.
I agree with you on that. Thankfully, independent media is superseding mainstream media and that has opened a whole new world of connection that cannot be hindered, except by the very algorithms bringing us together.
It's been amazing to experience FSD development over the last 4 years. It's definitely ready for deployment now. The hardest thing to do is pay attention while it's driving, it's so good that you forget that you are "driving".
also it's pretty easy to start dozing off on long trips.
And that's the very thing that gives me pause. When I'm driving long distance, especially on road trips, I never even use cruise control. Actively stepping on the pedal and steering keeps me alert. If keeping your eyes off the road while using FSD makes me liable for whatever happens, then I don't even want FSD.
@@CluelessPanther My thoughts on FSD are that it's not made for our demographic. It's a product for those that are inexperienced at driving and those that are too old to drive. Once you have over a decade of experience driving, FSD becomes a gimmick, rather than being something essential.
@littlebrothermoneywithmich6178 Oh, you definitely don't want an inexperienced driver using FSD. When FSD requires intervention, it's usually in near-incident situations, and that's when you need an experienced driver the most. Those situations are not for amateurs, unless I'm missing something.
@@CluelessPanther You're speaking of a complete failure of the system when you speak of an actual accident. I feel that It's actually better than a human at avoiding accidents as that's its supreme goal. The only thing that supersedes a car accident is a pedestrian accident and FSD will most likely hit anything besides unprotected human. FSD was awful and scary when I first used it. But now, It just gets hung up in trivial circumstances, like complex parking lots and hesitates on medians that divide a parking lot weird way. It doesn't even require you to put pressure on the steering wheel anymore. You just get driven around from point A to point B. It's really boring.
