I was looking at the Okuma itx 2500 last night at Sportsman's Warehouse and was impressed with it, and the other models they make. After seeing this video, I've decided to go back today and get it!! It's gonna go on my Phenix 7'1 for riverbank fishing for Smallmouth Bass and Crappie and anything else I can catch lol!!! Great video Dave!! Thanks for the input!!

I find it very deceptive calling this reel an inspira gen. It’s a Ceymar with no anti reverse switch with carbonite instead of a felt drag system. Unfortunately this happens frequently with leading brands. I can only assume that this marketing strategy comes from it being to close to the Ceymar lineup, (which is one of Okuma’s best sellers to date).

What's the line capacity for 30-40 lb braid?

Finally a good review on this rod!! How do you feel they did on the lure rating? Can this rod truly handle 5-6oz baits?

I really like the SST Travel Rods. I have the long Spinner but haven't tried the BC line yet. Like you pointed out made extremely well with that long strong spigot ferrule design. For those that are afraid to use travel rods as your main, don't be. I've been doing that for years. I've nothing but good praises and reviews for them:) Nice review.

why are you using a leader for trout fishing?

Why would you attach the sinker to the fluoro leader? versus attaching it to the braid? Or attach it to the fluoro but very close to your swivel? Just thinking of having the weight as far away from the bait fish as possible... ?
