I don't even count them anymore. When I first started driving I used to worry about that every trip. But it was too depressing so I stopped countingʻ.

You have only scratched the surface of why truckers are not welcome in so many places. Here is my list. Noise. Drivers going too fast across parking lots so that they can make a lot of noise with their engine brakes every time they take their foot off the fuel. Add to that straight pipes that add to the noise. Pollution. How many drivers idle up the engine to run the heat or air conditioning - when it is not needed or justified. On a nice and otherwise quiet night, when people like to open their windows and enjoy the fresh air, here is a big truck running his engine at fast idle filling the air with diesel smoke and NOISE!!! Then there is the trash. Go to ANY truck stop. Back into a parking spot. Now, walk to the back of the truck. It looks like a landfill with all of the trash all over the ground. Truck stop owners have to pay somebody to clean up that mess. The same at any Wal-Mart parking lot. As a retired trucker, I have seen all of this first hand, and believe me, I would not want truckers anywhere near my property behaving like that. They make themselves unwelcome.

Yes sir that’s what I do. I got a couple urinals off Amazon and what I do with mine I empty them in the grass or down the storm drain and I put a little bit of mouthwash inside the urinal keeps it fresh and keeps the germs down I do have a puppy that rides with me so I will throw a dirty puppy pad in a trash bag outside my door in the middle of the night but I make sure when I get up I pick everything up with Rubber gloves and throw it in the can where belongs. good deal, sir. I appreciate it passing on some good knowledge to the young ones. and some old ones.

I drove a NYC cab back in the day. The old timers used to carry a bottle. I knew all the city parks that had open toilets instead. Not all of them were open.

No respect

I hate to tell people this, but it’s not just Gen xyza. It’s something that’s being done by every generation from boomers to today’s kids who will be tomorrow’s adults. It’s being done by smokers, people who drink alcohol to the one’s that buy out of the deli or Micky D’s, it’s just people who have the mind set that it’s OK someone else will clean it up because it’s part of their job and not my responsibility. Then you have created a problem for me as a business owner where I now have to deal with stray’s and wild animals that carry rabies, that are now approaching customers and biting them. And where I have to pay a fine that I now have to pass on to all of my customers or shut down, all because you won’t take a few steps over to the dumpster to drop your trash into.

Common sense is not common to everyone.

Would do that, normally would get some Fabuloso / water mix at the bottom so it wouldn't stink up the place. Drain out towards the woods or some Oboy, and reuse. This one rare walmart that had truck parking recently removed it. People are just nasty, and because of them, they ruin it for everyone.

Paid for miles is determined in a number of ways by the carrier... Before the GPS, poor directions From the dispatch caused a lot of out of route miles... That the carrier is not going to pay the driver.

This problem started when the foreign drivers were welcomed into this country by Bill Clinton. There was no problem prior. I have been out here since 1970. We used to be able yo park almost anywhere. The American drivers(new generation) saw what was happening, saw the problem, and added to it. This is a disgrace and it's getting worse. Their bad habits have ruined it for the rest of us! I am retiring end of this year. Enough is enough!

I find the gallon oil containers to be perfect to use after oil has gone in truck. They usually have a small opaque level reader on the side. Squirt in a fair amount of bleach based toilet cleaner and leave it in there. Just don't grab the wrong one when the crank case needs topping off.

I had a small platic trash can to put bottles in and empty it in trash can at fuel stop. Do unto others that you would want others to do unto you

The younger generation was told to many times that they were 'SpEcIaL'. They were never made to be responsible for anything, They were never explained that they are responsible for their actions. Never made to do chores. It was never explained the world owes them nothing, To well fed and entertained from the time they popped out. Here’s a quick tip. Watch the second to last The Grand Tour where they follow the old Dakar 1000 race route. You see in those cities trash piled everywhere. Nobody cares. Plastic bottles by the thousands everywhere. Now go to most truck stops, rest areas and places like the parking areas on I-80 in Wyoming. Trash everywhere just like in that show. Finally look at the large number of immigrant drivers we have now. There’s your answer as to where does it come from.

There are many foreign nationals driving now. They don't care about America.

Seriously? Walking through the parking lot of ANY Walmart is like visiting a trash heap in a third world country and it ain’t the truckers who are doing it either.

Its mainly black, Hispanic, and other foreign peoples that do this. We have a truck stop down the road, and they stopped them from. Parking for littering

Believe it or not, it's human nature. I've been working around trucking for most of my life and some drivers are unbelievable. I worked at a terminal in Massachusetts, and a long haul driver stopped at the terminal and shoved a months worth of garbage on the ground 10 feet in front of the dumpster. The foreman filled his car with the dumpster and then put the car on the roof of the shop. Never did that again

I'm a 32, going on a 33 year Veteran of Truck Driving... And I truly believe that The Glory Days of Trucking are long gone... They ended back in the Late 1990's or Early 2000's.... Now it's mostly Flip Flop Wearing, No English Speaking FOREIGNERS that continue their FILTHY, DISCUSTING, THIRD WORLD CULTURE!.... GOD SAVE AMERICA!! TRUMP-VANCE 2024! M.A.G.A! BULLET PROOF x2! I’ve been trucking for 50 years and I blame all the trash and sanitation problems on the way the ELD is set up with the clock not stopping only f you take a sleeper break if 7 hours or more. I could remember stopping at a diner and letting either the morning or evening rush do it’s thing and going off duty to enjoy a nice sit down meal and when the rush was over go back on duty and not lose any hours.

I use a plastic container with a screw top so it can’t inadvertently come off and spill urine. I pour it out in the grass or in the rocks and reuse it occasionally rinsing it out. I’m amazed at the amount of piss bottles and trash I find at weigh stations that are closed and rest areas. My parents taught me to respect public areas and other people’s property.

Why would they do that? Because they are entitled white Trump supporters thats why.

I knew what this video was about before i ever clicked on it. I agree Completly !! In some states we can't even park on the ramps anymore because of the garbage left behind. Piss bottles and shit bags are bio medical waste, improper disposal should be enforced. Jail would be a good place to learn to clean up after yourselves.

Carriers use contract loads and also the load board... Sometimes there's more drivers available than they are loads... Carriers would rather have a driver's sit As opposed To dead heading... Conversely, the driver needs to get enough loaded miles For the lease Payment on the trucks.

European trucking is very different than the us... They use Breathalyzer to enable the truck to start... The drivers also lump their own loads.

For years I have used Snapple drink bottles. I put a little liquid soap and a little water in it, then, in the morning, I take it into the restroom and empty it in the urinal or toilet. Then I add a little soap and water and shake it up then empty that as well. Then I put more soap and water in it for the next time. I keep two bottles on hand and trade them out. When any bottle gets smelly, I throw it in the trash and buy another Snapple and start a new one.

Many BOL Have a performance clause... Which means the truck needs to be unloaded in less than four hours... Or pay a penalty fee to the Carrier... Many warehouses are deliberately understaffed It's cheaper to pay the penalty fee.

Walmart does not own the parking lot the landlord does.... No overnight parking is a city ordinance... Walmart only acts as a custodium... If walmart allows overnight parking they could get a big find by the city... Pee bottles makes no difference. It only Shows disrespect, By trucker.

The story about the trash that truckers leave behind is TRUE. There’s a street in my town, about a mile long, plus a cross street also about a mile long . It’s on the edge of town . There’s a Love’s store, a Whataburger , a small restaurant, all 24 hours places. Truckers would park there a lot. Always full of trucks. Very convenient. Then the trash started. Someone would pick up the trash. They put trash barrels out there , IT DIDNT HELP with the trash being thrown out there. Eventually NO PARKING signs were put up all over the streets in that area. Regardless there went all the free , convenient parking for truckers. ALL BECAUSE of the trash left behind.

It's quite ridiculous that companies are not giving drivers the time and space to care for themselves or the drivers are choosing not to care for themselves properly, all in the name of greed.

They are not 100 percent truthful with the reason why. How do I know? Walmart still let drivers with Wal-Mart trailers park overnight at the stores.

A couple of friends who do videos and are drivers talk about this too. Thank you for what you do, you drivers go through a whole lot of crazy to keep America going. I appreciate that. If I tried to do it, I'd be in my sleeper rocking back and forth while babbling incoherently and pulling my hair out a strand at a time after the first week. You're a tough breed. Them damn white supremacists showed up again, and there was this guy with a truck full of eggs, and he just pulled right up in front of them, and opened up the trailer, and grabbed an egg launcher, loaded that thing up and just unleashed hell (and eggs) on them white supremacists.
