Taking the Manco Tillotson 212 For a Rip!
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
What's our top speed? How does it handle off-road? Do the brakes even work effectively?(No!!). Today, we take the Manco Intruder for a rip, and it sure rips! It's fast and probably unsafe, but that's what makes it fun. I dropped the ball getting top speed at First, but I redid a short run. Definitely would go a bit faster. Hope you all enjoy it.
Manco Intruder Tillotston 212 build Pt.2
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.Год назад
Finished the build in this episode. Ran to a couple problems but the kart runs great. Its fast and I was taking it extremely easy on it! It's been raining a lot here lately and will continue to rain, so I wasn't able to get the video out early enough or ride at the creek we go to. It also snowed here for the first time in 25 years so that says something. Some of the parts used in this video: Ju...

Is it possible to get a speedometer thats more accurate?
Liking the video, i have one of these karts also, i was wondering if you still have the brake rod, i could really use that, mine is missing
@mlrutr8899 thanks man glad you enjoyed! And I might have it somewhere. Might!
Ok, cool thanks for checking
How reliable has it been since you've had it? Thinking of buying one instead of a Honda Monkey.
Great lookin bike
Hey nice Bike! Where can i find the wheel cover for the back?
@fabele3277 thanks but was not mine. I'm not sure what your talking about?
@@anythinggarage The splash guard
Dude, that's a nice looking bike!!! I bought the cfmoto 125 popio ss. I looks like a retro café racer. I love this bike. It's the perfect street legal toy. Good luck on all your projects. You got some nice stuff and you ride some sweet mini moto's. Love your videos.
@bigfootaintreal5454 thanks man! I love that little papio. Back at ya man!
Old guy here , back when synthetic oil came along, it was great for your motor but a wet cluth would slip under a good load. I believe they have a happy medium now. Better slick protection for moving parts and still allows clutch plates to grab. Tbe motor still needs to be broken in.
Sorry didn’t see you had it in the description lol
@@shawndavin1768 got it!👍🏼😁
Hey can you give me a list of the parts you used the part numbers and what shifter you used and the exhaust?
Great video!
It just looks so much more expensive than a boom vader. The quality difference sticks out.
i JUST ORDERED MINE AND IT WAS 2300.00 FREE SHIPPING FROM TEAXS TO FLORIDA.
At this point just buy a used grom lol
They should have you come go to China to show them how to make it from scratch 😂
Dude that poor bike and chain. Just drop a link and silde the master in jeezus fucking christ
@tyronesharp8115 tension is where it needs to be. You got to drop 2 links to even numbers. The only difference here is the wheel is slightly more back than normal. We are talking about an inch or so. This happens anyway when your current chain stretches so much you're constantly adjusting tension tightening more and more. This bike is fine in it's current state but will need to be cut soon.
@anythinggarage lmfao tell everyone here you don't know shit without saying it. His tensioner is maxed out but then he proceeds to talk about the chain stretching. You drop 2 links slide tire all the way forward as chain stretches you use the tensioner. If I have to explain that you shouldn't own a bike
@tyronesharp8115 the tensioner is definitely not maxed out my man
@@anythinggarage that last little line on the hole for the axle bolt means it's maxed out smfh
@tyronesharp8115 why are you getting all hyped up about? It is not maxed out. I'm the one who installed it. It definitely has more space left for sure, it's nothing to write about my man.
Easy! Just install a Grom engine, drivetrain, suspension, wheels, tires, and electronics. It'll be SO reliable. (Although you should probably replace the frame and the plastics too) 😁👍...........🤣😅😂
Installed mine today, will go back to factory default as there's no ECU remaping available in these parts. Too bad, it did sound good.
i’m curious, i have the same bike- my speedometer is putting me 10-12 mph over what i’m actually riding. any suggestions on how to fix??
went for my third ride actually on main roads today w my fiancé and he was doing 40 meanwhile im thinking im pushing almost 60😂 embarrassing
SO I plan to buy this same bike from Venom. Do you have any issues with it? Would you recommend it? Thanks!
@PVW4EVER I definitely recommended it. I have no problems with it. Other than the squeaky noise up front with passenger, it's a great little bike for daily everything. Can't really freeway it unless you're behind a semi being pushed around by the wind
Do NOT buy from venom if possible. Buy from kronic racing. Venom sent me the wrong tracking number, and one of the riser bolts fell out of the bottom and the bushing and cup were gone on delivery, and after sending pictures and emails over and over they still would t send me the missing part. And when I sent a pic of what ended up being their battery tie down, asking where on the bike it went, they asked me to send a picture of where on the bike it went…….. they’re a nightmare. Dude from kronic sent me the missing parts venom wouldn’t for free. Do NOT use venom.
In the market for something like the KP Mini. I saw you had a vader, would you suggest someone spend the extra on the KP RS?
@GEEsu5 heck yea definately. So much better build and actually usable. I spent a total of close to 2000-2100 for all the mods on my vader. This one was 2700 shipped woth tags and taxes and all... it really only has an exhaust and it's faster and built better
@@anythinggarage thanks for the reply! It's been a minute since your last video, done anything since then?
@GEEsu5 I've built 2 mega moto minibikes from the ground up since but never made a video of it sadly.
buying a new Chinese grom and replacing everything, that's fkn hilarious 😂,i bought a new GSX-8R and do you think i should start replacing everything😅 😅😅😅
So how much was the entire upgrade? BTW, good video.
@@JeffBassir-lo6zj if you exclude the rear shock, you're looking at about $550 in parts and miscellaneous parts total for everything I used.
Thanks. And how much was the rear shock?
Where did u get that master cylinder. I like that better then the rod set up.
By the time you do all this work and buy all the parts, just buy a Honda Grom. 😁😂😇
I appreciate how thorough you were with the process, good looking out bro 🙏🏽
Do you have anymore riding videos of this bike,Id like to see more on how well it is after break in period
Lol hows there no exhaust leak with no gasket
@seanz401 there isn't 🤷🏻♂️ wasnt even a gasket before I took it off
@anythinggarage from another video I've seen there is a gasket it's a combination of metal and rubber I believe a donut gasket. I did see another kp mini 150 exhaust install and there was a gasket in there. And a round area in the engine for the gasket to sit in
Faster then grom and z125? At 150cc id hope so. And i hear things about the clutch cuz its a cheap chinese bike
niche is pronounced neesshh quickly!
@CuttinInIdaho I know I pronounced it wrong so many times haha
You need more subs dude...thanks for your coverage of the best grom clone!
This guy says he don’t have much experience with motorcycles after he fckn rebuilt one in 30 minutes 😝 but😅😅😅😅😅
Will all this work for a kp mini 150 ss3?
@papateeks6405 Yes absolutely!
Do you hook up the throttle handle first?and what makes it do the snap back,at what step?
@anglegrinder4630 the throttle cable is what's pulling the slide up. The spring is what's bringing the slide back down. If you let go of the twist throttle fast, it makes a snap cause basically the metal slide is "sliding" down fast. Makes sense?
@@anglegrinder4630 I have a separate shorts video on how to do the twist throttle on the handle bars. You'll see it on my channel
Great video! Safe riding.
@airgunbubba2505 thank you very very much man!
do you need to remap the ECU once you do that mod?
It is smart to do a proper ecu flash after any air filter or exhaust mod , yes I would say , so you don't get your air to fuel mapping out of wack.
Excellent review! Thank you❤
@craftingwithcharm7665 thank you. A couple mistakes here and there but you learn along the way!!
Lol I felt myself tucking when you were going for that top speed
New top speed is 66 mph, and the rider's weight at the time of the test was what?
@JeffBassir-lo6zj on the first video I mention it. Around 187lbs or so
So replace the bike… got it👍🏻
What size throttle cable did you use ?
I think it was a 75" VM22/VM24 throttle cable (mikuni pz27). Try ebay like 13 bucks
How much torque did you loose in 1 and 2nd switching to the 16? Does the bike still power wheely?
I never wheelied on this bike. Im Sure you MIGHT be able to still do it. I did lose some torque, but the way I ride it I didn't notice much at all other than it being much more useful for city riding
so whyy would you pick a 2 lane road to do a speed test when you had the expressway you bypassed?
Did you run into any issues with the install in California?
Ain't no cop cares around here. Maybe my area? Ypu should be fine
I got a 212 ghost pedator engine... the carb looks very similar but i cant find the throttle cable anywhere, what cable does it use?
You just have to find a cable with a small stop on the end of it I found one for the same engine and carb on go power sports.
Hey, I put on a new throttle cable and bike wont start. I remember there being a clear plastic piece covering the cable on the carburetor end. Do u think that's the problem?
What carb do you have?
@@anythinggarage MCI. It's the original carb on a 77 y,400
@mikeanthony8934 on an old yamaha dirt bike?
@@anythinggarage yes, it ran fine before I put the throttle cable on. As far as I can tell, it is opening and closing all the way.
@@mikeanthony8934 you might have a cable that's too long? You may need to see if you have to raise the throttle enough to get the slide to suck in more air. Other than that, Idk what to tell you. Could be an idle adjustment? Wish I was there
lol what is that factory shifter? its like 4 adapters to do what could have been done with just a short shift lever lol
I know, so annoying!! 😑
What life span on the tires can one expect
@drmachinewerke1 I would depend my life on them. Life probably a few thousand miles but tbh better to replace as soon as one can. They aren't too pricey to replace.
That’s not how you install a chain. You have no room to move the axle back……
I understand this. It's 2 links more than it should be. I can cut them off and I can still adjust
Where can I buy this bike at ?
Powersportsmax or redfox
Get a tune bro!!!could be bad for your valve....plus running lean because lack of pressure in exhaust
I noticed you have the bike on a rear stand which makes it upright and your oil sight glass is reading over full. Could just be because it has a lot of forward lean, but maybe check that out
That's correct. Oil should always be checked sitting on both tires and alligned straight (someone holding it for you or you trying your best on your own). Don't go by it on the kickstand or swingarm stand
