    Wtf I did not expect it to do any of those things that’s impressive for 1/2 drill bit that’s impressive even my ryobi subcompact drill can’t do 1/2 drill bit or even my Milwaukee m12 brush drill can’t do it ether Walmart has something here for there hyper tough brand and it has a bit lower specs than my ryobi subcompact drill that is brushless and the hyper tough drill that is brush is only 20 dollars and I paid 89 dollars for my ryobi drill that’s insane well hyper tough might be a decent brand to get into for working around the house.

    I rarely use my hyper tough 12v drills to actually drill. Instead I outfit them with task oriented attachments and use em for dedicated purposes to avoid buring out the expensive drills I own. Also love using em for the clutch to safely assemble components quickly without breaking them.

If needed, rotate the attachment slightly to help it line up. No real force needed. In other words slide the release on the attachment as you insert the attachment to the drill/driver. Hope this helps you and others!!

    Are they equal in AH battery power? and compare the 20v to the 12v impact. This is a circus act of a comparison... Details matter. This is the equivalent of a political commercial putting down the opponent leaving out all the details in a logical fallacy argument...

    • @northwestwendover
      @northwestwendover 22 дня назад

      They are both 1.5AH. The 20v drill battery would have roughly 40% more WH. AH is not a measurement of power output.

    I used the hell out of my hypertough but the low battery ah + slow charger really made me upgrade. Nothing against it as it got the job done for the price, but batteries are the most expensive in cordless tools and try to stick to a brand. There are adapters but I’ll gift it to my mom and upgrade. Great starter tool when getting sick of elbow greasing everything

    • @CluelessDudesRealToolReviews
      @CluelessDudesRealToolReviews 20 дней назад

      Thank you for your comment!!! I agree, the battery does charge slowly with the charger provided with the Hyper Tough tools. But they are also cheaper than higher end tools so it makes sense. For $19 these is a quicker charger for Hyper Tough tools that should charge a 2aH battery in an hour.. If anyone else reads this, the takeaway is think about the benefit of making sure, when practical, your tools can share a battery system. For example, Hyper Tough and Hart do NOT take the same batteries, so it MIGHT make sense to stick with one of those brands (or any other single brand) for all of your 20 volt tool needs. This is why it is often a good idea, when practical, to get tools that take the same batteries so you can swamp them around different tools as needed.

  • @gene7499
    @gene7499 2 месяца назад

    These are indeed both 20v drills. But what Wattage is on the brushless and that on the brushed? they could be rated for different amps, and thus one motor is simply more powerful not because it is brushless, but because it has better magnets, or rated for higher amperage... If it's rated for higher amps, then 1. Motor would be more powerful. 2. You would get voltage sag if used continually, hence the brushless would stop due to severe voltage sag, which would then recover once you stop using it for a while. Thus, this simply shows that they put a higher amperage brushless motor in the brushless drill. You should have tried the brushed drill again, as it would probably come back for a bit as well, since it too would have voltage sag.

    The real gem is the 12v brushless for $45. 370in lbs vs the HT 20v at 175 and the hart at presumably 250in lbs. buried in the description on the gen 2 hart 20v it lists “250 ft lbs” which is probably just a typo and they meant in lbs.

    Is the base for this drill (its internals) the same as the Hyper Tough 12V Max Lithium-Ion Cordless 3/8-inch Drill Driver? If yes, then the extra $15 is only for having a 90 degree attachment, which you may get for a much lower price elswhere.

  • @Education-yk5ug

    This is an incomplete review, it is missing an important test on resilience. Just because you drilled a few holes, or screwed in a few screws, doesn't mean the drill is good, unless you do this multiple times, enough to see that it doesn't burn after many tries. Otherwise, you can call it disposable.

      I am glad the video helped you decide!! If Hart will meet your needs I would say also consider Ryobi (like Hart, Ryobi power tools are made by TTI) and Bauer. Both have a large line of tools and offer some tools in both brushed and brushless models. And for the most part, are more or less in the same general price range. Bauer (Harbor Freight) is often on sale or part of a promotion. For many people the Hyper Tough is fine. My neighbor used hers to trim branches and to remove very small trees (about 1 to 3 inch thick trunks). But each cut normally took well under a minute to a few minutes tops. But Hyper Tough is not ideal for people with bigger jobs that require constant use or with tasks with very long run times based on my limited testing. If a person needed a reciprocating saw for small quick tasks I think it is fine. I know my response is a bit wordy... but I hope it helps other people too who happen to read it. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment.

    How long does it take to charge? Does it really charge in 45 minutes like advertised?

    • @CluelessDudesRealToolReviews
      @CluelessDudesRealToolReviews 7 месяцев назад

      Typically, in a perfect world where no energy is lost to heat, the time it takes to charge a battery is based on the following: Time = Capacity of the battery / Output of the charger. Example 1: 2 amp charger charging a 1.5 amp-hour battery: 1.5 /2 = 3/4 Hour = 45 minutes Example 2: 2 amp charger charging a 2 amp-hour battery: 2 /2 = 1 hour But due to heat loss and changes in battery capacity these are just rough numbers. I just charged a "fully drained" Hyper Tough 2 amp-hour battery with a 2 amp charger and it took about 1:15 So the above formula is just rough numbers. Hope the above helps!!

    • @CluelessDudesRealToolReviews
      @CluelessDudesRealToolReviews 7 месяцев назад

      The charger that comes with the drill is a slow charger... about 0.45 amps if I recall correctly. To make the math easier lets call it 0.50 amps. 1.5/0.5 = 3 ....... So about 3 hours with the included charger if my math is correct and the included 1.5 amp-hour battery is "fully drained". Please note, I mainly use the 2 Amp charger that I bough separately which typically takes less than an hour to charge a 1.5 amp-hour battery. Hope the above helps.

      Thank you for the kind comment. It was a fun video to make since I did not know how it would turn out!!! It is often hard to know when it is worth spending the extra money on a better tool if it is not being used commercially. There is no one "right answer" for everyone since it varies person to person how it will be used. My goal of most of my videos is to let people see the differences between tools through testing to help people see the general level of each tool before they purchase. Thank you again for the kind comment.
