Really enjoyed this video because it's relaxing and all and love that Mustang
Cool thanks man!
Nice Mustang with some perfect alterations Carl
Hey thanks Harry.!
Dear Carl, Your Mustang got some very nice updates and your handbrake seems to work flawless again. I look forward to your next vlog and send you love from The Netherlands
Dear Carl, This 1978 Honda CB550K is very well restorated since she looks spanking brand new so it’s a great pity she doesn’t run propery.. Hooe you’ll be able to fix the problem. I look forward to your next episode
👍👍👍👍
you have Scottish roots?>>in the bin with that cutter that has a problem with a tie-rip! (16:00) hmmm...why not use a U-shaped piece of metal connected to the lower side of the suspension to connect the exhaust?? As I remember the sound of my 350/4 this bigger brother sounds like sh***. But as you said, there is work to do to get it right. Good luck with it!
Ya that's the hanger that came with these kerkers. The one on my Z1R is like you said. It sounds awful I messed up setting the valve lash. Scottish roots.... Ha..!

Dear Carl, This Honda CB550K model 1978 is starting to look fabulous and like a complete new bike. Your restoration skills are absolutely admirable and I hardly can’t wait to see this Honda icon back on the road again. I look forward to your next vlog and send you love from The Netherlands
under rated bkes but hard to find over here in Australia
Looking good! Nice attention to detail! Love any resto
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You sure do some nice projects Carl, I've ever heard Ken Kaplin mention you in a couple of his videos and what nice work you have completed. I'm more of a Kawasaki and Yamaha guy but appreciate all the work on all your projects. Would love to see you do a nice old RD.
Thank you.! Maybe an RD some day.....
Hi! Absolutely love your rebuild of your Kawasaki. I'm just wondering if you could possibly help me out. I live in the UK and I'm desperately trying to find the rear mud guard that you fitted on this video and also a seat pan for a Kawasaki z1000st but I can't find any in the UK and I noticed on your video you said you bought a new mudguard and bits and pieces. Would you be able to let me know an email address of a company in the USA that could supply me with any bits? Any help would be really appreciated. Once again, absolutely love your show. Paul
Hi. I just searched ebay just now. kz1000 z1r rear mud guard. This on came up as shipping from Hungary: www.ebay.com/itm/314498541557?_skw=kz1000+z1r+rear+mud+guard&itmmeta=01J9GX5PKJMRGNMT5BBXHAJBYM&hash=item493992e7f5:g:x7kAAOSwZoRkKbF~&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKmgIyc4N7o5hxCkaP88tGbkFJciHOGEpXXTsZUCKAEi1IFgYzM%2BI1HZWF0hrj%2F8VHgSAtBdHgi9QTWBFD8asxTHiukQ5InJrMeeymsSJE8vchfGlOBDi%2BT%2Fk1%2FFnD1qjdMJu3jT%2B33EoHHPPKD2mtaKd6OGpa%2FcmRsJ4Ys5%2BI0VsVRkT7a2EwyOyMo6SAP3Om5pS25AxTH%2BRr0RZB4%2BRXdWrq9Xx8537OuRFYqkphmWVi9k09CIfiZohWKGV4Mh3m90ULiUfx3geCcvraKUm5pd%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR_zplp3MZA This seller "retro-motorcycles" has tons of kz1000 stuff, including the z1r rear mud guard. Great channel! Hope you continue producing content when you're in NC. I am local to you and I'm restoring a 1971 SL125. Do you have any SL125 engine parts you are looking to sell?
Hi Sean. I don't have any spare stuff for the SL125. There usually is stuff on ebay.
Dear Carl, Looking at your vlog I have no clue why the engine got stuck with the way you originally made the complete overhaul. With the second cylinder and piston all seems to run very well indeed but I can imagine that you started to be afraid of this Kawasaki KX65 after you did fall with the first set up of the cylinder and piston. I hope you’re fully recovered in the meantime. I look forward to your next vlog and send you love from The Netherlands
Super, no music just video how to. Thank you!
I just try to show the experience (which is usually pretty tedious). Thanks for watching.!
@@wastingmymoneyonmotorcycles In my opinion perfect!
17.30.....turning the gear, putting it the other way round....finding the problem with the spring....Are you not using a servicemanual? Is it all in your brain and by experience? ..Wow, you were lucky mate. No proper gear, no helmet....could have been much worse. In 1974 my Honda CB350/2 had a similar problem. I was doing 50km/h and suddenly a high tone came from the engine and it locked up whilst I was using the clutch. No oil. The oilfilter on the right was not paced back correctly, something with a small hole.>>>19.32..😂you learned from your mistake, haha, wise man..........North Carolina, close to the ocean. Do not know where you live now, but you are changing State?( ah yes, I saw massachussets) What about jobs..have to find new ones both? Goodluck
Ya I learned the hard way.! Gap those rings.! I do have a manual but I've done a bunch of these engines now, kx60,kx65,kdx80,kx80 they are all very very similar. Yes I live in Mass now and I hate being stuck indoors so much during the winter. I work from home so moving to NC is no problem. My wife isn't sure if she can keep her job, probably.
Theres no part 4? Looking to get some help with the carburetor and sticky throttle
Not yet I have a lot of projects going on in parallel. On the carb front I just bought a chepo china clone carb on ebay. Sticky throttle... check the cable, probably rusty.
just bought a 1971 SL125 yesterday. your video has been super heplpful!
@@diegoargueta1544 great feedback thanks!
One of the worst 65s ever made i had one growing up the geometry is trash on that frame i remember going from that pos i did win afew midwest championship on it but yz85 was an insane upgrade for me the bike just felt better in every way
Where is the Z1-R
😂 loved the fight with the rear tyre
Ha. Ya 12 inch dirtbike tire. Couldn't get my hands in there
Hi Carl, Je hebt de Kawasaki KX65 model 2005 perfectly disassembled and prepared for a complete overhaul so for sure the engine finally will run perfectly. Also the rest of the technical restoration will be thoroughly taken care of by you. I just love to see all this and I hardly can’t wait for your next episode. Also on behalf of my wife WIlleke I send you and your family love from The Netherlands
I love this videos watch a lot of usa videos but driving me nuts when you use mole grips (UK name) the wrong way 😂😂😂
Damn those forearms are huge 🗿
Ha ha... Thanks man.!
I can say the whole point for the drag bar on the goose bike was to get the racer stance as possible... and you can bet they won't go with the clubman bar just because the fairing won't allow for that. By the way, if there's someone finding your videos boring by any means, it's because they're not as crazy motorheads as we are.
Hi love the videos and the bike. Where is part 10 and on?
It's all on my channel. Also there's a playlist for the Z1R. Thanks for watching ruclips.net/p/PLgIYMmEG-4_cnTGZGufaVOflWfkWWTkKx
Hi Carl, can’t wait to see the Z1R run.
Ya me too. 😉
Dear Carl, The restoration of this 1978 Honda CB550 looks so well that you’ll manage to get a spanking new looking motorcycle when everything is finished. I only can say that I’ve a lot of respect for all the time and money you’re investing in these classic machines. I look forward to your next vlog and also on behalf of my wife WIlleke I send love to your whole family
A big bloke like you needs a BMW GS, not a dirt bike. A dirt bike is for boys. However it does keep you young and do stupid things. Hence the road rash, chipped lip and leg full of cuts lol. But I digress. Maybe time to do up a BMW airhead? I have done that last year and loved it. Easy to work on, parts and info are readily available and they are good every day bikes. Maybe even a cafe racer version. I enjoy your videos, keep them up.
Yes i have to get back to the street bikes. Good advice.!
well Carl i hope you recovery doing well? because it was really slow on your channel but still good luck with it. i hope also doing some away or else you need to go your Dutch friends 😆also nice shirt on 20:44
Hi Carl, It’s nice to see you back on RUclips after a long break. Willeke and I are wondering if your neighbors are happy with all the noise of a 2 stroke off road motorcycle. It was interesting to see how you fixed the problem with the engine and it was weird to see how some people did convert a Kawasaki KX60 into a trike or something for kids. I look forward to your next vlog and send you love from The Netherlands
A suggestion on the dirt bike dilemma, you could always give one to me! Hell, I even come up and get it. I'm partial to Kawasaki’s
Ha, yes well I may get there but I'm not there yet... 🤣

Hi, it took about a year.

Damn dude, impressive forearms
@@chadclay1643 thanks!
Looking at buying one of these today. Any advice. Says needs top end like they all do.
If you want one because you wanted one as a kid go for it. It gets expensive and you can get 20 years old KX80/100 for $1200-$1500 that's a better actual bike. Or an XR80 or CRF 80/100 for trails.
man that is why you look so fit by Milo channel.
@@lordsjaak yes and that is also why after the first day of working on the floor I had no energy…😉
@@wastingmymoneyonmotorcycles understanding with the travel and jetlack stuff
It ripped pretty good though! But yeah you’d want to be able to cruise around.
Probably something to do with me being 53 years old .... 😇
Lot of succes with your bodybuild performance!
Thank you.!
Dear Carl, We have a system with aa adjustable valve people can switch the exhaust gas going via a relatively silent muffler or to an exhaust pipe without a muffler at all. It is so weird to be passed by such a car when it’s driving with the muffler and as soon as the car is passed the driver is switching over with a lot of throttle to the pipe only version. In your case you’ll get to see per exhaust 2 pipe ends under the bumper. With this a lot of fun is guaranteed. I look forward to your next vlog and wish you fun with the body builder show plus I send you love from The Netherlands
👂🏽👂🏽 I totally loved the first setup 😂😂😂 I get it though...but man your second setup is just as nice 🤔😂😂😂 they sound similar to my 3" borlas. Nice post and good luck in your second hobby as I gave it up 25yrs ago. Great car🎵🎶🎵🎶👍🏽😎🏁🏁🏁
Hey thank man, I appreciate the good will..! I have the BB stuff on instagram: instagram.com/danceclubcarl/
You need an extra exhaust damper but with a valve so you can turn on and off the awesomeness
Ha ya Hi Mark. That would be idea but I don't Milo over here to help me make that and paying people sucks...
Just think if you tried to stop the krouts you might have more toys to play with. But the French have them all for letting the krouts park there for 4 years.
I raced for the first time on a red KDX 80 bike just like this when I was 13 in 1993 in a hare scramble at Sunday Creek Raceway, Millfield Ohio. Brings back memories....
They are great little bikes.
I’ve been rebuilding my Z1 following your videos, thank you!
Hey man i been watching your videos and im not to far away i just bought a kdx80 1986 for a project bike and was wondering if you had any parts for sale i might need
