@@19BOOSTEDGT350STL in my research (since I'm trying to eventually build my perfect 350) I've found that Whipples are probably quiet because of their closed intake

I remember, I actually wanted to replace my oil pan gasket. But didnt bother because i could not get the pan down far enough. You do not have enough room to get the pan out. maybe if the transmission was out and you lifted the engine as high as you could with out taking the oil cooler lines loose, you could.

They say they arnt reusable. You can cut it off and replace it later. There's a bunch of youtube vids on how to replace the a/c belt for a s550 mustang

My rear drag radials have 18psi. Its a low air light. I do both with my car. I have another set of wheels/tires for track stuff

@@19BOOSTEDGT350STL I do have a couple of questions though, if you care to answer them and they are: 1. Out of all of the options, why did you choose to go with the whipple, vice a different positive displacement unit, or a centrigul type system? 2. How manageable is the power? Meaning, do you have to be really careful with the throttle at all times, or above certain RPMs? I have never driven one with a supercharger, but they seem like the power is there all at once, which may not always be such a good thing. 3. What type of fuel mileage do you get with your setup when you drive conservatively? 4. How different is the clutch and shifter feel and do you like it? 5. Does the care feel any different without the strut tower brace? National Speed lists a part by Summit Racing called "Strut Tower Brace Bushings," or something like that, on one of their GT350 VMP Supercharger packages, but I haven't found the part on the Summit site. Meaning, somebody may make a spacer kit for this that will allow you to keepl the brace and still close your hood, but not sure. 6. How much money do you think you saved by doing all of this work yourself? Sorry for all of the questions. I understand if you don't want to deal with them, but thought I would ask. Thanks again!

@@JL-sw3qp 1. I used to own a turbo foxbody had bad luck with turbo stuff. I wanted to try something different and whipple from all my research was the best choice plus it all looks very clean and simple under the hood. 2. You def. need a good sticky tire in the rear. I went with mickey thompson and they hook up really well on the street. I can punch it in 2nd at 4k rpm and it has a very very small amount of tire spin then you rocket away. 3. I am getting around 10mpg on e85 fuel. I have not calculated what MPG i get on 93 octane it will be much better on 93 vs e85. E85 uses a ton of fuel thats just how it is. 4. MGW shifter is super nice i recommend it. Shorter and firm shifts worth the money. 5. No i do not feel any difference at all. I've whipped it around turns and its just as it was before. You're wont be able to fit any type of brace. Theres no room. The hood is close to the whipple. 6. i for sure saved thousands of dollars in labor. to do an install like that. My guess atleast 5-8 grand in labor? i'm not exactly sure. just to do Oil pump gear and crank sproket is pretty expensive.

ZERO regrets its alot of fun to drive. Stock the car was to slow for me. This has the right amount of power and so much more fun to drive. e85 is a little bit of pain to deal with but i plan on going back on 93 pump gas in october thru winter. the build was easy to install. I just get in and go. supercharger is alot easier to deal with vs turbo

@@19BOOSTEDGT350STL How many miles do you have on it since supercharging? I'm in Phoenix so we are basically limited to 91 , race gas or very sparse E85. Did you consider a different car before you went to the whipple? Have you ever done any track time with it supercharged? I like to take mine for 3-4 track sessions in the winter while it's 60-80 degrees but I'm pretty sure that won't be able to happen with the heat from a blower. Thought about a procharger so I'm not fighting with traction control as much. I've read the tuning is a little more finicky with them but that's just hearsay .

@@lakerdude42 I only drive the car on nice days, since i put it all together i've put 1,000 miles on it. The car has 4,700 miles on it total. I dont track my car or plan to track it. I dont have any input there. My IAT are normally 20deg higher than the outside temp. I'm not sure what would happen if you run the car hard for 15min doing laps. I'm sure the IAT would climb eventually. On 93 pump you'll make 90-100 whp less. Low 700 to the tires. You can always email LUND and ask about tuning on 91 pump gas. They reply pretty quickly. Pretty sure its possible. they'll just run you at lowing timing and they'll watch what the knock sensors are doing. You'll probably make less power on 91
