Sure it is easier but you have to have room in your freezers. By the time tomatoes are ready there is not much room left if you grow and preserve your food.

Tomato soup, just tomatoes and some spices. Eat it raw at room temperature, blender will make it warm. Eating a raw food diet is optimal.

Nice. I'm going to try freezing tomatoes this year. That's the same way I freeze blueberries, on a baking sheet. I double bag my blueberries though. I put them in either food storage/bread bags or zip lock sandwich bags & then place that bag in a freezer bag. My blueberries stored a year ago in that fashion still have no frost on them.

When I want to use the frozen tomatoes in a recipe, usually spaghetti, I will put the requisite number in a colander over a bowl first thing in the morning and let them thaw all day. I peel them first under running water. As they thaw, water drips into the bowl, leaving the pulp in the colander. This makes for a thicker sauce. I save the flavored tomato water to use in soups.

To make my infused dandelion oil I found a recipe by @garden_therapy. Love the fact she's 🇨🇦 After the dandelions have dried for 3-5 days place the dandelions in a glass jar. Be certain to press the dandelions to the bottom of the jar. Next add a carrier oil. I used Organic Olive Oil for a couple of reasons. First, I had this oil on hand and second because the shelf life of olive oil is longer than other oils. Be certain to put enough oil to cover the dried dandelions. I thought I had picked enough but they shrunk a lot. Next place a lid on the jar and store the oil in a cool dark place for approximately 4 weeks. To prepare to make the salve make sure you have some smaller jars (I'm using jam jars), beeswax pellets and lavender essential oil.

You can use heavy duty gorilla tape to use on the seams between matts in your stalls as well as in horse trailer matts. It prevents shavings, pee, etc. from going under the matts. Urine can ruin an aluminum floor in a trailer . You may have to replace them from time to time but it has been a handy barn hack for me.

Great question. I used Organic Olive Oil for a couple of reasons. First, I had this oil on hand and second because the shelf life of olive oil is longer than other oils. A carrier oil is used to dilute or "carry" essential oils through the skin. Other types of carrier oils are sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, fractionated coconut oil, sesame oil, grapeseed oil and sunflower oil. You can use infused oil to make different skin care products. For this particular infused oil I'm making salve. After the oil and flowers have sat in a cool dark place for approximately 4 weeks, you need to drain the oil into a separate jar. You don't want the dried flowers in the oil if you are making salve To prepare to make the salve, make sure you have some smaller jars (I'm using jam jars), beeswax pellets and lavender essential oil. Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have other questions. 😉

In just 9 days you could have vegetables growing too! Growing vegetables isn't complicated. All seeds need is some water and sunshine. I spray the seedlings morning and night. The trays sit by a south facing window. Every morning I turn the trays to help the tomato plants grow straight. The seedlings naturally grow towards the sun and light. Plants are pretty smart! At the beginning of June I will transplant these tomato plants into my garden.

If you search on RUclips there are people that have done demos with a device to show grounded vs not on the mat. I just don’t have that sort of tool. I honestly am not sure about copper plates. In fact it is the increase in day light hours. What is your favourite grooming tool to help with the shedding process?
