My Solo Paddle Adventure on Tallulah Falls Lake at Tallulah Gorge State Park, GA
My Solo Paddle Adventure on Tallulah Falls Lake at Tallulah Gorge State Park, GA:
Come along with me on a serene, beautiful 2 hour paddle on Tallulah Falls Lake as I explore the coves, creeks, and waterfalls and eventually reach the free-flowing Tallulah River that feeds this man-made mountain lake. I was lucky and surprised to basically have this lake all to myself as I was literally the only boater out there this day… only shared it with some rather boisterous locals who were just hanging out and swimming off the bank right near the road.
Located just above Tallulah Gorge and part of Tallulah Gorge State Park (with a public swimming area and beach), Tallulah Falls Lake is a 63-acre reserv...

A little off topic... A paddle leash is a good, safe item to use. Also, for newer or less balanced people, attach a thin rope to the kayak. Attach a weighted foam fishing bobber to the other end. Have about 10 or 12 feet of thin rope. Before entering or exiting the kayak, make sure the bobber end is on shore. Before exciting, throw the line well up on shore. This is done in case one accidentally pushed the kayak away by losing balance. Grab the rope to prevent unwanted swimming. Especially if you have gators in your waters.
