You don't know anything about the Mayor, but you don't have good feeling about him. But you know the Governor is rich and lives in Chicago and you really like him. What's wrong with this picture?
Hey Connie, it sounds like there's a bit of a disconnect in how you feel about the Mayor and the Governor. It's interesting how our perceptions can be influenced by different factors, like familiarity, reputation, or even personal biases. Sometimes, it's worth digging a bit deeper to understand the reasons behind our feelings and to get a clearer picture of the people in charge. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I appreciate you taking the time to share what happening in the city. Thank you Sir! ❤
Thanks for watching, I'm always happy to share updates on the city! ❤️
Great Govenor, are you serious? The billionaire that disconnected his toilet so he didn’t have to pay real estate taxes on his multimillion dollar property? Or the governor that keeps doubling down on being a sanctuary city when our state is bankrupt!
Hi @11loukis! I see you have strong feelings about the governor, and I get it, there are definitely some controversial actions and policies that have sparked a lot of debate. It’s important to hold leaders accountable, especially with tough financial situations. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊
Great improvements but what are they gonna do with them when there’s nobody left in this state?
Hi @11loukis! It's definitely a lot to consider, especially with changes happening while people are moving in and out. It’ll be interesting to see how the city adapts! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😊
Great improvements but what are they gonna do with them when there’s nobody left in this state?
Hi @11loukis! You raise a good point, if the population keeps shrinking, those improvements might not get the full benefit. It’ll be interesting to see how the state adjusts to that challenge.
“The south side is not for people who would want to move to Chicago” except for the thousands of people who live on the south side of Chicago… Do you write this stuff down before you post?
Hi @georgeblackwell2306! You’re absolutely right, there are many great people and communities on the South Side! I didn’t mean to imply otherwise. Thanks for pointing that out, and I’ll definitely be more mindful in the future! Appreciate your feedback! 😊
I laugh every time a developer claims they are building "affordable " housing! 😅😅😅😅
Hi @musicsansnotes! I totally get the skepticism, it can feel like “affordable housing” sometimes isn’t all that affordable. As a realtor, I can tell you that there are some great opportunities out there, and I’m always here to help guide people toward options that truly fit their needs. Let me know if you ever want to chat about some real opportunities! 😊

WE DO NOT NEED MORE TRAIN LINES OR NEW STADIUMS WE NEED TAX CUTS ON PROPERTY AND OUR PAYCHECKS
Hi @moshesett8580! I hear you, tax cuts could definitely help ease the burden for many. It’s a tricky balance, though, with cities needing improvements to stay competitive. Hopefully, local leaders start focusing on both taxes and infrastructure! Appreciate your comment! 😊
📌 Hey everyone, it’s Barry! If you want my FREE RELOCATION GUIDE with information on all things about CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, you can download it here: link.buyorsellrealestatenow.com/chicagorelocationguide
The only people brag about Chicago are the ones who were born near the north side because they don't have to see the other side of Chicago they can stay in their bubble
Hi @mobxewing8003! That’s a fair point, people tend to talk about what they’re familiar with. Chicago definitely has its challenges across different neighborhoods, but there are some amazing communities on all sides. Thanks for sharing your perspective! 😊
Born and raised in Chicago not much will change unless you're talking about the north side or downtown any place where there isn't a lot of black people Chicago is still one of the most segregated cities in the world
When you have dizzy spells this happens
Here is where you are wrong...illegals are about to be Deported by Donald J Trump and Tom Homan Chicago citizens are the ones we need Help!! What are you talking about?
Morton Grove is a wonderful suburb and typically has very few homes on the market
Why wasn’t the United Center once in a so called “not so good neighborhood”? What characteristics “not so good” neighborhoods?
Great question! When the United Center was built, it was indeed located in what was considered an underdeveloped area, but since then, the neighborhood has undergone significant transformation. "Not so good" neighborhoods are often characterized by factors like lower property values, lack of amenities, or lower demand for housing. However, over time, development, investment, and revitalization projects can completely change the landscape of an area. As a realtor in Chicago, I’ve seen firsthand how neighborhoods evolve, and it’s amazing to see the potential in areas that were once overlooked. If you're curious about areas in Chicago experiencing similar growth, feel free to reach out, I’d be happy to discuss!
I have a really good question for the tax payers and property owners of Chicago. Why should any one of them care about the migrants when migrants DO NOT GIVE A DAM ABOUT AMERICANS? THINK ABOUT IT.
That’s definitely a thought-provoking question. I understand that concerns about the impact of migrants on local communities can bring up strong emotions. However, it’s important to remember that migrants, just like any residents, contribute to the economy and the vibrancy of our city. Chicago has always been a diverse, multicultural hub, and many migrants bring new perspectives, talents, and skills that help grow our workforce, fill important roles, and even contribute to the local real estate market. Ultimately, creating solutions that balance the needs of all residents is key to maintaining the strength of our community. If you’re looking to discuss more about the dynamics of our city’s growth, feel free to reach out. I’m always here to talk!
If you even want to go to millennium park you have to go thru security what a joke seriously . It’s shame where the demoncrats made this city go
I understand your frustration, Bobby. It’s definitely been a challenging time for our city, and safety concerns have certainly impacted some of our public spaces. However, it's important to also recognize that changes like security measures are put in place to ensure everyone's safety, especially in high-traffic areas like Millennium Park. Chicago has faced its challenges, but it remains a vibrant and resilient city with a lot to offer. From diverse neighborhoods to beautiful parks and world-class attractions, there’s still so much to love. As a realtor, I'm here to help anyone who’s looking for a fresh perspective on the opportunities our city has to offer. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to chat more!
@@livinginchicago88 vibrant city yeah smells like marijuana everywhere . resilient city with urine from the homeless yep its great to walk around . you cant go to a park without a security what a joke . also statue s where removed do to blm racism . city being racists against Italian immigrants removing Columbus statue . Historic streets like lake shore drive getting renamed to have black supremacy ran by the mayor .
Chicago just was the place to be in DT now it’s just place of illegals , homeless people , smells like weed marijuana every corner . Garbage getting worse . Homeless people urinating in public in parking lots . It’s sad what these demoncrats done to this city . Colombus statue removed for no reason . Lake shore drive renamed. The city is great for getting trashed , rioting , and protesting with no consequences. City has gone down hill
Sir- I understand you’re trying to make an informative nice video, but you were not being truthful about certain things. Where do you think the extra 3 billion for this project is going to come from? Oh I know, from Mr. Brandon “I won’t raise property taxes” Johnson who is trying to raise already sky high property taxes. You are trying to bring people here, do you have any idea how many of us are trying to get out of here because it is such a crap hole from crooked politicians at this point? I would never help anybody move here, sorry. Just stating the truth. The city does have many many good qualities, but when people can’t live here comfortably and safely and trust that their leaders are working for their best interest what does any of the good qualities mean? Absolutely nothing. The second we can leave, we are out of here.
Thank you for sharing your perspective, Viktorias. I can definitely understand how you feel about the challenges the city faces, and it’s clear that many Chicagoans are frustrated with the current state of affairs. While there are definitely hurdles, it’s also important to recognize that Chicago has made significant strides in certain areas, and many of us are hopeful for continued improvements. As a realtor, my goal is to help people find the best fit for their lifestyle, whether that’s staying in Chicago or looking elsewhere. Every city has its challenges, but there are still many wonderful opportunities here for those who are willing to navigate through them. If you ever decide to consider new opportunities in real estate, I’d be happy to assist in any way I can.
Chicago is a dying city that continually votes for policies that ensure the rot continues to spread. Can't wait to leave the state soon.
I understand your frustration, Jimmbo. Many people share concerns about the direction the city is heading, but Chicago still has a lot to offer, whether it’s the vibrant neighborhoods, cultural attractions, or the potential for future growth. As a realtor, I’ve seen firsthand how there are still areas with strong investment opportunities, and sometimes the right changes can make a big difference. If you ever need assistance in exploring your options, whether for moving within the city or looking elsewhere, I’m here to help. Everyone deserves a home they feel good about, and I’d love to guide you in finding it.
Ghetto Chicago
I have lived in MG my whole life I wouldn't trade it for the world!
That’s great to hear, Marianthi! It’s wonderful to love where you live. As a realtor, I always appreciate the deep connection people have with their neighborhoods. If you ever know of anyone looking to make a move within the area, or even outside of it, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to assist with any real estate needs. 😊
@@livinginchicago88Thank you! I appreciate that!
Governor is the worst, if he was so great people in the I s state wouldn't be moving into other states
I understand your frustration, many people feel that way, especially when considering the cost of living and taxes. As a realtor, I’ve seen firsthand how many people are making moves to states with lower taxes and more affordable living. If you ever decide to make a change or just want to explore other areas, I’d be happy to help you find a place that better fits your needs and lifestyle.
Bringing the red line south is great for the people who live in that area. How do you think changes. Pick up the book the Mayflower and checkout people who came to North America in the 1600. What would it be like if it wasn’t for those brave souls. You were handed a silver spoon, what have you done to make the world better?
Many people leave California for the Midwest all the time. People are tired of fires, droughts and earthquakes. We only have a little cold weather but other than that it’s the perfect place to live
I was born in Chicago and have lived here my entire life
Found out for 2025 a page of guest parking passes rising from eight dollars to fifteen dollars. Chicago is outright gouging and doesn't care. Is the mayor trying out for the Mafia or something?
I can see how that feels frustrating, especially when costs keep rising. It definitely makes the city seem like it's not putting residents first. As a real estate professional, I often hear about the challenges Chicago's residents face, and it’s clear the cost of living is a major concern for many. If you're thinking about relocating or exploring other areas where things might be more affordable, I’d be happy to help you find options that fit your needs.
You got Chicago in the wrong location
Hi @yiffytimes. I'm talking about Illinois, so I think it's just right.
I woudlnt trust this suburbanite.
I understand where you're coming from, but as a local real estate professional, my goal is always to help people find the best fit for their needs, whether that's in the city or the suburbs. If you ever want to chat about your options or have any questions, feel free to reach out. I'm here to help!
This guy doesnt know how bad bringing the red line south is.
I understand that there are strong opinions about the Red Line expansion, but the goal of these developments is to improve connectivity and accessibility for everyone. As a real estate professional, I can tell you that better transit options often bring long-term value to neighborhoods, enhancing opportunities for residents and businesses alike. If you’d like to discuss the potential benefits or share your thoughts further, feel free to reach out!
@livinginchicago88 have you ever walked or even been at the last stop south on the redline? 95th and State I would definitely encourage you to walk through and make a video.
@@gordogordito6843 But, but there are potential benefits 😂.
Immigrants have always been coming to America. How do you think this country was started. I’m reading a book about the Mayflower that came here in the beginning of the 1600’s. The pilgrims came from England and 1/2 died on their way here. Where would we be living if the people before us didn’t come to this country. We are all the same no matter where our ancestors came from.
Chicago is the fourth largest city in the USA and it’s a great city to live. There is always things that happen in the largest cities in the world. But I rather live in Chicago than any other city.
What an idiot!
It can't be a better place when you have a racist black mayor like BJ.
I can't wait until.there taxes get even horribly worse for Chicagoans
I get the frustration many feel about rising taxes in the city. However, it's important to recognize that some of these changes can also be part of efforts to improve the city’s infrastructure and services in the long run. As a realtor, I've seen how the right investments can enhance property values and quality of life. If you're looking for opportunities in Chicago's evolving market, I'd be happy to help guide you through it!
Redline extension means more crimes can continue elsewhere
While it's true that any major infrastructure change brings concerns, the goal of the Red Line extension is to improve accessibility and connect underserved areas to more opportunities. With proper community involvement and strategic planning, transit expansion can help revitalize neighborhoods and create safer, more vibrant communities. If you're looking for investment opportunities or guidance on navigating the changes, feel free to reach out. I'm here to help!
More People Leaving
Chicago still offers great opportunities, especially with its rich culture and growing industries. Many areas are seeing revitalization, and for those looking to invest or find a new home, it can be a great time to buy with some excellent deals available. If you’re considering your options, feel free to reach out. I can help guide you through the process!
You want to live under a treasonous power hungry dictator named Prickster as a governor or live under someone like Bozo in Chicago as Mayor come to Illinois and move to Chicago. You moving to Illinois or to Chicago you'll be paying mega taxes, living under dictators and having politicians that cheat to keep their power. Don't listen to this guy that made this video he's got rose colored glasses and can't see through them. There are many other states and cities to move to then this criminal trash bin. Illinois is the second most state that people are moving out of. That alone should tell you something.
Don't live in Chicago, but it is good to know what is happening there. I live down state in Illinois. Good to see Illegals are cared for more than the rest of the State. Which doesn't solve the high taxes and population decline due to high taxes. As well as corruption.
I hear you, and it’s a sentiment that many share. While Chicago and Illinois as a whole have their challenges, they also have a lot of potential. There's still a lot of great areas to invest in and some exciting developments happening. If you ever consider looking for opportunities here or elsewhere in the state, I'd be happy to help you explore options that could work for you!
You shouldn't be talking about Chicago since you don't know anything about it.
I appreciate your feedback! While I may not know everything, I'm always open to learning more and having thoughtful conversations about the city. If there's anything you'd like to share or clarify, I'm all ears! 😊
Its cheaper to just send them back
It's definitely a complex issue with many factors to consider. I'm always open to discussing different perspectives and solutions for the city's challenges. It's important to approach these matters thoughtfully.
Thanks Barry! Can you do a video on the city's affordable housing program in the downtown area? Property taxes are very high but real estate prices are flat at best. What does the future hold? I might have to sell my condo and take a loss as it's getting difficult to live here...
I agree Sam there are more black folks in the area. My goal was to reach the people who live in that area
To many perspectives from white folks who I’m sure don’t know a thing about the south side or the people who live there just what they see and hear on the news or someone’s opinion
You're right that understanding a community requires more than just news headlines or hearsay. I think it's important to listen to those who live and work in the area to get a full perspective. It's a conversation that needs to be inclusive of all voices.
This is a winner for the most ridiculous concept 💯 Leaving one dump for another 😂😂😂
I get where you're coming from, but every place has its unique qualities and potential. Sometimes, a fresh start or new opportunity can bring unexpected benefits, even if the challenges are similar. It's all about perspective and what you're looking to achieve!
As the fourth largest city in the United States Chicago is known for higher property tax. But each individual should be hiring a real estate broker to help them with purchasing properties at a fair price. That's what I do!
A Lot of People Left Chicago due to being taxed out the City and the Housing market is Crazy Over Priced I saw a Guy trying to sell Property in Beverly Neighborhood for 579 and the property wasn't Worthy that
You're right, the housing market has definitely been challenging, and taxes can be a heavy burden for many. However, there are still opportunities in Chicago if you're looking to make the right investment. The market is evolving, and sometimes it's about finding the right deal at the right time!
I have lived on the South Side of Chicago in the Roseland Pulliman Area and they have Promised to Do this for the lasted 30 years and People Such as Sentor Meeks Who made Promise to help start the project Got Money for the Republican Passed Governor and He Didn't do NOTHING
It’s frustrating when promises are made and nothing comes to fruition, especially in areas that need investment and development. It’s important for leaders to follow through, and I hope the community gets the attention and support it deserves moving forward. Everyone deserves a chance to see real improvements!
Nonsense. Chicago & Illinois are heading towards bankruptcy. The taxes and crime are high.
While it's true that Chicago and Illinois face significant challenges, there are also many dedicated efforts in place to turn things around. Addressing crime and taxes will take time, but there are still plenty of opportunities in the state for those who want to invest in its future. Change is always possible with the right leadership and community involvement!
