Looks smart pal. If I'm doing mostly road I put mine at 40 and mostly off road 35 and can feel the difference maybe bit fatter than you lol
❤
Muy bonita ❤
Those light coloured bibs really do show the boys bouncing side to side 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same here in Liverpool, I'm riding around with cold fingers and toes, and several layers 🤔🤔🤔 shite weather indeed.
Wow , a man not in black.
😉
Stunning absolutely stunning bike.
I know dude I feel very lucky
Pretty sunny (sees only clouds)
That is pretty sunny for 🇬🇧 😅
Yes Cervelo S5, Full Shimano Groupset Waxed Chain BananaWax TDF Racing Chain Wax X 2 wheel sets Mavic Carbon Wheels, 28c Conti Tyres or 25c Panaracer Evo Tyres on Hunt Carbon Wheels. Total weight 7.6KG
Had to go out for a cycle the other day with gloves haha. In July ! Absolute joke, felt like such an idiot. Subscribed, nice video.
Yes it upsets me greatly I wait in great anticipation for summer and it never really arrives 😏, thank you so much for the subscribe and the comment!!!! Hopefully no more glove riding for you 🤞🏻
The roads there can use a bit of improvement eh? Please pressure parliament to do so!
Yes they aren’t so great just as well wider tyres are becoming more fashionable and proven to be faster it makes them slightly more bearable. Whenever I ride abroad the roads seem to be too notch I don’t know what we do wrong 🤣
Another great video CM, beautiful countryside although blurry at times due to the excessive speed. Cake well deserved!!
Very kind words father!! You could start a RUclips channel and also be called CM short for chunkymunky 😊

Such a lovely video, I felt like I was there with you. I enjoyed every minute of it. Maybe next time make a video about your Wahoo setup and gear.
Thanks so much for the kind words dude, thank you for the video idea 🙏🏻
Are you meant to be showing us your new bike or your arse?
Well done Scotty. Proper machine!!
Thanks dude!!!! 😘
Really interesting! As easy as it is to point out some shortcomings in the test i do think the overall results are clear! Another interesting comparator might be how many more watts would it take to do the same times on the Stork? I'm guessing 10-15w, which does put the £/w equation into perspective. Clothing, helmet, nutrition, coaching, sleep...all potential gains. Can't put a price on the new bike grin though!
Damn right it definitely does make me smile 😊, yeah it was never meant to be a like for like test it was more about how it affected my own personal racing and everyday riding speeds which it was quite significant difference. Totally agree the £/w is ludicrous and the majority of people could definitely make cheaper gains with what you’ve covered there but in my case all of that is dialled. That would have been an interesting twist actually to see how many more watts was required and think I agree with you after ridden it on quite a few easy rides now definitely about 10-20 watts. Thanks for the comment dude really appreciate it 🫡
Great video concept
Thanks dude really appreciate the support and kind comment 🤙🏻
WELL 👍 DONE!!!
I have a storck scenario from 2004 and it is my lightest (6kg) and fastest roadbike i own👍🏻
Yes I shall be keeping mine also as I love it, great bikes 🤙🏻
Great bike, but the video is 10 minutes too long
I shall bare this in mind for future video’s 🫡
Yeah the speed's fine for marginal gains, but it's less than 1 kph. I wouldn't call that Mega if you're spending thousands of dollars.
Turns out marginal gains are expensive my friend
What tires on the Storck? Interesting results. I did aero tests with my Colnago C40 vs Pinarello Dogma and the Dogma was approx .3mph faster. This is as 25-26mph average. Same wheels and tires
Yeah forgot to mention the tyres in the video apologies for that, Vittoria Corsa NEXT tyres on the storck. WOW THATS HUGE 😮 🤯
@cyclemunky notice I said (.)3 mph. Which is not much at all. And honestly. I think bc the waterbottles are not shielded on my C40 like the Dogma... that is most of the difference.
@@tommyfreckmann6857 my bad I misread that I did think that seemed extremely high 🤣 Another note is the tyres on the Storck were 26mm front and back as that’s the biggest I can fit due to clearance.
what a beautiful canyon bike, i will work hard to be able to afford that bike soon. this was a great video btw.
Or work less and have more time riding bikes xD
You will not regret it, absolute dream to ride!! Thank you for your kind comment 🫡
As a German I approve of your choice of bikes
Haha danke!!!!
As a Canadian, I thank Germany's Canyon for making bikes there because they're duty free to import to Canada. Yeah, boy.
Nice video, but i don't think is a fair comparison. 1. DT SWISS wheels with ceramic bearing? 2. When is ur last time u service ur STORCK? 3. New groupset vs old groupset, basically old vs new drivetrain. So yeah, I'm not convince new bike is better than old bike.
Thank you mate really appreciate the comment!! The STORCK was serviced about 2 months ago and is kept immaculate as I use it to race 10 mile TT’s, it’s a new crankset with new waxed chain so it’s about as good as it gets for an older bike. DT SWISS rims are on ceramic bearings but this was the whole idea behind the video to see how the newer tech etc has affected my racing and everyday riding speeds, which I think you’ll agree 40-50 seconds over a 10 mile distance is huge. 10 mile TT’s are won and lost on seconds so it’s a huge difference for me personally. 🤘🏻
Good video
Very kind thank you 🙏🏻
Nice bike man! You mean a 11-30 ?
Yeah dude 11-30, what did I say? 🤣
@@cyclemunky sram size 😀

Congratulations on the new bike
Thank you! 🙏🏻
How much is the difference in height between the saddle and handlebars? ( Bar Drop) Is it more than 10 cm?
17cm for me but I do have the stem as low as it can go
@@cyclemunky For me it would make a big difference. I don't like to go over 10 cm
Cool bike 🖤👍. Im looking forward for the new version and hope that the new handle bar (Grail Style) will be start at 35/36 instead of 39cm…
Yeah hopefully it’s the one main thing that let’s the higher spec canyons down for me, I’ve just bought a grizl over the grail so I can customise the cockpit 👌🏻
Your right, I am beautiful 😂, looks pretty dangerous when your undertaking your many passing manoeuvres old boy. Most impressive. Great your taking part and competing for top places in all these events too, having fun and I can enjoy it all from the comfort of my sofa 😂. Might do a couple of press ups later. Tour de France next!!!
What size?
Hi mate it’s a size medium
Greetings! Your height is 6ft? What is the height of your saddle? Mine is 78.5 cm and I am 6 feet tall. I'm interested in that bike but I don't know how to order medium or large.!
@@robertovazquez3348 yeah I’m 6ft - 182.5 cm to be exact, my saddle height is 80cm so you should be totally fine.
@@robertovazquez3348also something to note is my saddle heights slightly higher because I’m running 165mm cranks 👍🏻 let me know if you end up purchasing
@@cyclemunky Greetings! Thanks for the information, it helps me a lot when deciding. At the moment I have a Specialized Tarmac SL 7 size 56 that I feel great about. But your bike looks at another level, enjoy it
i love your contents! Keep up the good work, I love your bike too
Thanks dude 😊
Cool looking bike ❤
Canny bit of kit pal.
You are twice as fast as everyone else. You a pro racer or something?
Nowhere near pro status unfortunately just an enthusiast 🤘🏻
Love it!!, could you please keep both hands on handlebars 😊. You've inspired me to get my old chopper out of the garage 😂
Hope you’re on about your bike 😆
Cyclemunky and a Cheekymunky too 😂
Good effort pal
15:20 you go past me. This event attracted absolute animals 😂
Haha brilliant mate yeah it was pure savage amusement!! Did you enjoy it? I thought it was an epic event!!
@@cyclemunkyyeah was a tough day out.
Well done and bugger about the punctures. The wife and I both got punctures but they sealed. We only found out on the way back to the campsite in the rain. Sealant all up our backs. I did read somewhere that flat bars were not allowed but guessing that was for the Elites.
I wish the flat bar had been banned 🤣 if I did it again would definitely be on a gravel bike plus it gives me a fantastic excuse to buy another bike 😆 hope you guys had a great day!!!!
Hi mate, thank you very much for advice most appreciated. Think I’ll definitely be back next year it was a superb event and stunning setting, but will definitely be on a gravel bike!!! Thanks again for the comment!! 🙏🏻
Gatehouse was my home town & I grew up cycling those tracks with my mates. As you've discovered, punctures are pretty common and can ruin your day. Also, if it's dry like that, you don't need anything like as grippy a tyre as you & most other people use. If you have another go in similar conditions, I'd recommend you use the sort of set up we used to use which was a puncture resistant commuter type tyre like Schwalbe Marathon Plus or even Brontranger H2 Hard Case Lite Hybrid with a liner like the Mr Tuffy Bicycle Tire liner. You'll be a bit slower when you're going but you're much less likely to puncture and lose a ton of time. Also, try to avoid crossing from one side of the track to the other, the nasties are often in the middle.
Hi mate thanks for the comment!! It was my first time visiting Gatehouse as an adult it was beautiful, I was really trying to take in the epic scenes in the way round in between breathing out my eyeballs. Really appreciate advice I’ll put it to good use next year for sure 🙏🏻
Nice work Scotty x
Not jealousy wee man, I'd much rather be bald be than have a sweaty rancid mop 😂
Looks awesome, unlike the hair 😊
Jealousy is a horrible trait
Loving the red cycle case 😂
